@Big_Bad_Sad - Ha! I know that feeling. Foam controllers are another good idea though.

Have you ever got so frustrated with a game that you have lost your temper? Have you ever got in such a rage that you have smashed a controller, TV or treasured family pet? I bet you have played on though, desperate to beat the game, adamant that it will not shame you. You WILL make those pixel perfect jump sequences followed by a boss, then another boss, then a second form of the first boss followed by a QTE section, are you serious? Haven't they heard of a checkpoint, wasn't the first boss cheap enough for heavens sake? What did I do to you?
Help is at hand in the form of my new invention, the 'Can't-We-All-Just-Get-Along' button that will seamlessly be integrated into all PS4, XBox720 and Wii U controllers. One press of this button and all the in-game characters put their differences aside, call it even, break open a few tinnies, watch a bit of Friends and just, you know, get along. Sure we can get back to killing each other after work tomorrow but for now let's just take it easy. There are no winners or losers here.
To me it's the perfect solution. The gamer gets to save face ('I thought that I had hurt enough demon spawn for one day and there's dust on the screen or something, it's not a lack of skills. Seriously') and the developer stops getting flak for developing cheap scumbags that can hit you mid-combo and then launch into a series of unblockable attacks that take away 3/4 of your health, yeah really ('It's OK, we justified the appalling balancing of Jinpachi by implementation of the Get-Along special move').
So could this catch on? For games like Demon's Souls or Ninja Gaiden that actually hate you (despite spending money on them that goes to the developers, I didn't buy second hand, come on Ninja Theory why are you punishing me?) it could certainly save my blood pressure and may add some longevity to a game that I may have previously smashed into my own face. Should I contact Dragons Den? Does anybody else have any other brilliant ideas they want to share?
