Hasta la vista, baby!
I've been moving around a lot, etc; just a lot of things I'm noticing my dog's been there for. Unfortunately I didn't pay too close attention to the changes in my dog. It's been a crazy year so my mother and sister have been kind enough to really bare most responsibility of Buddy (my dog's name--not original at all, but that's why I picked it, that's my sense of humour). I did start paying attention in these past couple of weeks, though, as I've been the one feeding him and such. Nobody could really figure out why he hasn't been eating (the vet, once again, had to go over the blood work and x-rays). The Vet gave us some special food, but he just threw that up. He was just moving extremely slow (only some of the time, which really through me off) and had his normal days, and days where he looked downright depressed.
He's had some shots, and we've been trying to get him some more fresh air. The Vet had some tablets to give him. My mother reminded me as we were on the telephone and mentions Buddy's shallow breathing from earlier this morning. I find the tablets down stairs and then blanket it in a small piece of bread. Lo and behold as I proceeded around the corner, open the door, there Buddy is-except he's not Buddy anymore. Although I already saw the defecation, I couldn't help but try to call out to him. Supposedly he might've had cancer.
Despite being 18 years old, I felt like one of those little kids on TV. A silly goldfish or hamster didn't die and my parents didn't sit me down to have a talk, but I still cried.
