The Truth about KotOR II: TSL

    Unknown Source wrote:
Bioware didn't let LucasArts give it to Obsidian. They flat-out refused to develop any more KotOR games after the first one.

LucasArts then basically asked Bioware, "OK, that's cool. Who would you recommend?", to which Bioware replied, "Well, we worked with these guys over at Black Isle Studios before, but then Interplay fired 'em all so they founded this new studio, Obsidian. Give 'em a call, and let them do their thing, you won't be disappointed!". So, LucasArts did so.

But then, they turned around and said, "Yo, Obsidian, hurry it up will ya?", to which Obsidian replied, "Hey, we're working as fast as we can, but do you want us to make you a game or just a disc full of useless materials?". LEC then replied, "We don't give a rat's arse. It's our intellectual property, and we say finish what you got and release it.". "Wait, do you have any damn clue how the game development process works? Have you even developed a game before?" Obsidian challenged, to which LEC replied "Hey, we're LucasArts, mofuggas! we don't need to know jack **** about games development to know that we're right no matter what. Release! Now!" came the booming reply.

Obsidian, realising LucasArts had the legal rights to fug them over completely if they did not comply, had no choice but to capitulate under the onslaught of LucasArts' T-Virus lawyers and their threats of a super-mutant lawsuit.

And thus, KotOR2 was released, in a half-finished state.

Few months later, Obsidian go to LucasArts and say, "We wanna finish the game and release the rest as a content patch over XBL. We'll do all the legwork, we just need you to authorise it, with it being Star Wars and all. Whaddya say?". LucasArts, obviously blinded to the fact that they were responsible for fuggin' up TSL, replied, "No way, you already cocked the game up enough!".

And that's how it played out.

Yeah, it may sound like a bunch of b******t because of the slang terms that were used. However, when you think about it this makes total and perfect sense. LucasArts Corporation f****d up their own game to get it out when all of the other "cool" games were coming out. Haven't they ever f*****g heard of the phrase, "Good things come to people who wait?"

So, hence, I fully apologize for bashing Obsidian numerous times before. Everybody grab a torch and pitchfork and let's storm LucasArts Corporation's executive headquarters. They wouldn't even admit their mistake and let Obsidian make the game right with a XBL update. What... the... f**k. Sigh.

    Vacation, Vacation, Vacation

Alright, so what I will put here now is what places I went in what order. First, I flew down from where I live to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Then, I got on a cruise ship that went to Grand Cayman, of the Cayman Islands. It went to Cozumel, Mexico and then back to Fort Lauderdale. I then drove up through Florida to Orlando, and spent a week there.

Mild Activity Drop, Finishing School, New Job

I don't know if anyone checks my blog a lot or anything, but I don't get that many comments. That is something I've always wanted more of, because I look at blogs of some people and their blog has something like 20 comments only a half hour after being posted. I hope to achieve that someday, but I'm content with what I have now. I do want more friends to get an emblem upgrade, though. Well, whatever. I think I might try to make a Speed Run video. That's when you just move around a lot in a game, right? Now I'm rambling on and on. I'll get to the point of this blog.

I've been busy with finishing up school and working to get a new job, so I haven't been able to play many videos games or anything like that. In turn, I haven't had time to get onto Gamespot to see what was up with you miscreants. Though, that's all mostly coming to an end now. I still have to deal with finals but not for a bit of time (a week or two). I've also been working on getting a new job, so that's fun!

This is a video I made for a roleplay character I created and am currently maintaining and updating at a SW roleplaying site. Yes, he looks like Revan so don't comment on that, because I get enough of it.

After scaling a view point, you must do a "leap of faith" to get down. Very fun and very cool.

For some reason, this song sounds like its from Halo 3. But, either way, it reminds me of Halo 3. Of how Master Chief risked his life for humanity and everything.
