New review of a sorta new game: Street Fighter X Tekken.

In case you haven't noticed, Gamespot has been going through some major changes. The blogs and community efforts continue to morph, though I've definitely heard from many of my close gaming friends of their migration from Gamespot. It's sad, yes, but I remain discouraged at how much these changes are affecting my community buddies here. Fuse is a fun distraction, but it's clear: this isn't the Gamespot I grew up with.

I still visit this site and will continue to check out the exclusive content they have here, but I am also letting my professional gaming circuit grow on DefaultPrime.com. I've debuted my new video series "Vidjagames" on that site and my Youtube channel (check it out here), so feel free to check out what's up there. Other than that, I'll deliver more reviews, just at a slower pace. I have dreams, and they're starting to move into fruition, but Gamespot is still where I got my start and for now, I won't be leaving.

Other than that, things are changing around here too. My graduation from college has pushed me to find a part-time job, so I do have money for games and expenses. I'm still looking for full-time journalism work in my town, so that's become a focus as well. I hope to get some new games soon like the recently discounted Batman: Arkham City GOTY and some Microsoft Points for the upcoming Rock Band Blitz. My gaming time has been divided between Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD and Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

Hope this message cleared up the reason why I haven't been posting very often and the future of my Gamespot life. Hope everyone's doing well. Take care.

My friend!  Seems like everyone is leaving gamespot.  I am not that active anymore either, so I can't really complain.  And you graduated?  Awesome!  I just entered college (sending this from my dorm), so we are both at exciting times in our lives.  I wish you the best of luck in anything you do, although with your writing skills, I do not think you will need it.

@VXLbeast Yeah, I've noticed many people posting farewell blogs on Gamespot, so it's pretty upsetting. I graduated from college this last June, so I'm in the real world now, for lack of a better phrasing. Hope you're enjoying your college days too, and thanks for subscribing to my Youtube channel!

Same thing happened with me. I was xGlenn11x here on GameSpot, and I thought a new profile would cheer me up. So I matched my alias with my online IDs on Xbox Live and PSN. GameSpot needs to make changes that make sense, not that kill the community.

@UltimaSpartacus I'm very tempted to reboot my account to match with my current name PostMesmeric. However, this is a case where I've built up such a following and so many friendships that rebooting things might toss too much down the drain (for lack of a better phrase). The Chalk Talk debut is definitely a step in the right direction, so I commend the community managerial staff for that.

Yeah keep in touch sir, and good luck finding work: It's a bloody competitive field to say the least.

@-Saigo- I know that well. My reviews are still maturing and I'm actually getting some more widespread recognition across the internet. The least I can do toward that is just keep at it. Competition may be good as a consumer, but when you're looking for work, it's the worst thing you can have. Thanks for the kind words.

I've reluctantly decided to give GameSpot another shot, but you're right -- the site has changed to the point where I can't recognize it anymore.  I'm glad you're going to stick around in spite of everything, my friend--- and of course, you're also on GiantBomb too.

I think you've got what it takes to make it as a journalist, so best of luck in that endeavor.  Your reviews are one of few that I enjoy reading here, and as a reviewer myself, I consider you my toughest competition ;)

@Asagea_888 Yeah, I'm still around. I'm just concerned that my friends here will eventually disappear and migrate elsewhere, but that day is another. I appreciate the encouragement and praise. I'm happy that you're still doing reviews yourself. I'll keep reading them, my friend; just keeping 'em coming.
