    CoD4 Fans?

I think I'm going to get Call of Duty 4 for my birthday, but I had a question about the map pack. If I get it new it will obviously be the GOTY edition with the 4 new maps, but my dad has friends in the Army who might sell the older version for cheaper. Are the new maps good? What's your favorite? Help would be appreciated.

    MGS still has it

Today I completed Guns of the Patriots. Though it'll take time to have a complete perspective on it, it completely lived up to my expectations and is one of my favorite games already. Though MGS3 is still my favorite overall, MGS4's narrative was every bit as good, and is one of the few times a game drove me to cry. The gameplay is extremely good and warrants multiple playthroughs, though it's a little discouraging that stealth is less emphasized in this installment. It seems that was one of the compromises made for whiners, as well as codecs taking a backseat and the controls being reworked. (Ironically, the detractors still whined like babies.)

Overall, the game has excellent pacing and is the best conclusion to the Metal Gear Solid series you could ask for. All of the loose ends that were wrapped up, the allusions to previous games, and the new additions to the gameplay were done almost flawlessly. It's sad to let go of MGS, with all of the impact this series had on my life, but I couldn't have asked for more. Snake's final mission is an 9.7 out of 10 for me, and is even worth the extra dough for the limited edition. Even the online mode, as quaint and unbalanced as it is, is very fun and worth the time to play it.

I hope that you liked the game as much as I did! Farewell, Snake!

    Bad Company's a fun company!

Has anyone gotten a chance to play the Battlefield: Bad Company demo? I've played quite a bit and it's really fun! The game has a similar model to Call of Duty 4, except it has vehicles. The graphics are amazing too! It's hard to believe you can get so much content from a free demo.
