Oh, man. I've been hearing some GOOD things about this game. My friend texted me yesterday and told me he had picked it up, and he hasn't touched his PS3 in over four years. If I weren't so buried up to my gills in unfinished games, I would be half-inclined to impulsively pick this up and add yet another game to my laundry list.

In retrospect, I haven't seen this kind of RPG in ages. I haven't really seen anything RPG-related from Level 5 (apart from the Layton games) in what seems like an eternity.

So, before I burn a hole in my wallet, is this worth getting? Or can it wait?

It is the first time I hear about this game. So what can I say?

@khatibi22 Hehe, no worries.  I was actually asking anybody who got the game (even those lucky enough to get the Wizard edition)  or played the demo.  So far, I'm getting a favorable vibe.

I want to play Ni No Kuni right NOW, but I have to wait until February 1. Gutted, the wait is agonizing. Once I get it I'll probably find it impossible to drag myself away from it.

@widdowson91 I'm not surprised XD  My friend told me it's like classic Final Fantasy a little bit, and it plays really good, so I'm sure you'll have good impressions.  That's good because I need convincing!

I wish I could comment, but I haven't played the game.

@danwarecritic No worries -- I couldn't get the game now even if I wanted to, but I am planning on it.  The reviews have been kind, and it got my friend playing his PS3 after four years collecting mothballs XD

This just might be the game to make me finally buy a PS3.

@ermhm Well, it got my friend to dust off his PS3 -- which he hasn't used in 4 years -- so, any game that can do that is worth the attention!  XD

I played some of the demo and it seemed alright. I was planning to pick it up after a price drop but I got on Amazon the other day and saw there's a 1-3 week wait on delivery, which makes me wonder if it's one of those games that is being released in limited quantities in the west that will be hard to find in a year or two from now and that maybe it should be picked up at $60. But I think I'm going to wait at least a little while

@kfjl Yeah, I'm likely going to wait on it, too, like DmC -- I'm getting tired of buying games for $60 anyhow XD I was actually worried it was going to be a niche title, meaning only certain stores would have sold it, but the reception it's getting seems to be helping its cause.  It's been a long time since I've played an RPG like this.

eh, I can't comment, I hate level 5 RPGs and I always found Ghiblis films to be incredibly boring, it's like this is the combination of my nightmares really :v

@nunchuk28 Aw, you didn't like Dark Cloud? I thought that game was fun!  And I do like Ghibli's art style because it's so whimsical, and that was one of the things that drew my friend to get the game.  The films aren't exactly memorable, but you have to appreciate the style.

I saw an hour long gameplay marathon on Gamespot. Very decent game. Definitely must play. I like it.

@RebelMac I'm convinced to get it, definitely, but I'll likely wait 'till it drops or if there'll be a sale :)
