OK so I know I left for a few months. Well actually...I never left I've been checking in the whole time. I just have not contributing. I know what you're thinking. What's the difference. Still. I come back and it seems like everyone has stopped contributing. Did I miss something?

Hey sorry for the late reply. I haven't been on this site since E3.

@ZanarkandTidus Wow ok yeah that is weird.  I was still looking at the comment counter at the bottom of the post to tell me if there were any comments.  It still reads zero but ...I guess if you don't click on the post you don't know they're there? Anyway...

I was gone from Gamespot for a while and I noticed many people are not as active anymore. Some people say they hate the new blogging system(especially since it always shows us as having 0 comments on our blog which means it's a hassle just to see if we have new comments on our blogs and many people don't bother blogging anymore)and some people left because trolling is allowed and the site is still very glitchy(often I can't look at reviews or search for games because I will get the oops page.

I remember that Twilight Zone episode - Earl Holliman was great in  "Where is Everybody"

and do not worry about the blog comment system it is in the process of being updated but there are so many comments from all the past blogs it will take a while for them to be brought back from the old system to the new one.   It takes awhile to get it all updated to the new Livefyre system and is taking longer than anticipated.

@iowastate Yeah clearly I'm still getting used to it as well.  Feel like such a noob.  And yes that was a great episode.  Still after all these years I tune in to watch the 4th of July marathons

Pretty much what GeekyDad said. Gamespot has been utterly broken since the new comment system went up. They never bothered restoring all those lost comments. For a guy like me, that was a solid five years of blog comments lost to the void. This new comment system is downright awful. Some comments don't show up for DAYS after being posted. Others are eaten and never seen again. It's enough to make me not even want to bother with GS anymore. They keep ****ing things up more and more with each "update."

@raven28256 I didn't even know that this update had taken place.  I was still trying to reply by the old methods.  So much for getting the word out.  Though I suppose if I had been frequenting the message boards I'd know.  I assume anyway,  So weird.  If I wanted Twitter I'd go join twitter.

Think most people are doing what you did - hanging around in the background!

Well, Gamespot broke the blog-messaging system, never bothered to fix it, and most of us, I believe, have taken on an attitude of "why bother?" Before, the system allowed for more conversational exchanges. They put "hassle" back into blogging, and no one explained why.

@GeekyDad Yeah I have to say I'm not liking this a whole lot.  Definitely seems more convoluted this way.
