Ok, so I decided that I was gonna give this one blog.

I got Call of Duty: World at War today, and so far, I'm like 3/4 of the way through it. This is my first World War II game. All my other shooters are modern, futuristic or set at any time after the second world war.

As I'm playing it, I'm thinking it's a good game. Good graphics. Good sound. Good gameplay. But at the same time... I'm feeling guilty. I don't know if it's... Right to market something based on a real event as a game and enjoy it. I know it sounds like something an old person would say... But I'm serious. I'm just feeling a bit of guilt playing it. Like I shouldn't be enjoying it.

Just wondering if any of you understand what I mean. Leave your comments if you want

Well today I went to GameStation and showed them my PSP. They claimed they hadn't seen that sort of thing before, but suggested that I may have sat on it or something. It's the sort of thing I would do . That's how my glasses broke at least. Anywayzzz, they let me get an accidental damage warranty despite the fact I had already broken it for £20. They replaced the console, the battery and the charger all for that one off payment. It was a lot cheaper than buying an entire new kit, which could have cost me around £130. That warranty allows me to do absolutely anything to my PSP and it will be replaced for free. As long as most of it comes back to them. In one piece or not.

As well as that, when I got home, I resumed the game of Patapon which I originally was forced to abandon due to the fact I couldn't see anything on the screen. After a few minutes, I had completed my game save. I won't say anything to spoil the ending... But man... The game was great, but the ending was a bit... Crappy

As you can guess, I've not been on as much recently. School is taking its toll and I just haven't had the time... So unfortunately, no reviews.

On an even worse note, my PSP broke just a few minutes ago. The screen cracked from the inside and now none of the colours are displaying properly. I'll try to convince GameStation that it was a hardware failure and not accidental damage. Hopefully, they'll replace it for free.

I'll still be on GameSpot, but I won't be blogging as frequently.

Ok guys. Sorry I let you down. I just haven't felt like going on GameSpot recently. Got more stuff at school to worry about. Work mainly, but I also want to get some girl to go out with me. Wish me luck and I'll try to get the reviews done sometime within a month

I was wondering which game to review next. I'm set on doing a Need for Speed: ProStreet one, but I was wondering what else to do. Can anyone think of a game I have but haven't reviewed yet?

Also planning to do my first film review of Wall-E soon

Ok, so I haven't blogged in quite a while. I did to a blog about a week ago, but I had to delete it due to moderation reasons. I was just going to have a quick chat/ rant about the people on PlayStation Network.

When I got back from France a few weeks back, I noticed that someone who I used to play with quite frequently was no longer on my friends list. I sent him messages and friend requests asking him why he deleted me.

Eventually, I saw him on MSN and got chatting to him. It turns out he deleted me because I either used a curse word, or used God's name in vain. So I apologised and he re-added me. I made an extra special attempt not to swear when he was in the same game lobby (Call of Duty 4) as me.

As some of you know, I have a microphone on my PlayStation 3, and when I use it, I get frustrated and almost always swear viciously. Ask Dan_Lero. So, I managed to play a few games with him. Almost yelled Jesus Christ during a game, but stopped myself before it came out. Apart from that, I didn't swear at all.

Then, earlier on this night, I got a message from him saying "You used a cuss word in your comment and I can't look at that every day". I tried to message him back saying that my friend wrote it when he came round my house a few days ago, but he had already blocked me. I just can't be bothered getting a friend to contact him, because chances are, I'll add him and end up swearing again by accident. I can't help it. It's just who I am. I guess I'm just a rude person and over-react during laggy games of Call of Duty 4.

    A few things I don't get:

He was an American youth and judging from his picture looked around 17. Normally people of that age aren't offended that easily by that sort of language.

He was playing Call of Duty 4 multiplayer on PlayStation 3. A game which is known for people with microphones. I have not played a single match in the history of playing that game which hasn't had someone swearing down their microphone in.If he wanted a game which doesn't have swearing in it, why doesn't he play something like Metal Gear Solid 4 or Need for Speed: ProStreet? They both have options to report people using foul or inappropriate language.

Not only was he playing the multiplayer, he was playing the single player too. Look on the back of the game and notice the big age rating sticker which mentions bad language.

It's a war game. It's violent. Which is more inappropriate- violence or swearing? So a game where the target is to kill people is ok, but if it has swearing in, it's out of the question? They're just words.

By the way, if you were wondering what my comment was, it was "******' Chavs". Nothing aimed to offend anyone except for chavs... And they aren't really people. We all know that.

    ---

Next topic, also to do with Call of Duty 4, if I haven't told you already, my current clan [oR- oVerRATED] is moving its way up the top 25 clans on consolegaming.eu. We once made it up to 18th, but now we're closer to about 25th.

It's a European only clan who specialise in Search & Destroy modes and Sabotage. If you are in a clan on consolegaming.eu, mention it and we'll schedule a friendly/ ranked.

Or, if you would like to enlist, contact me and I'll see whether it's the right clan for you.

    ---

Last thing, my mate found this on YouTube. It may be useful to all you Call of Duty 4 players out there...

Just a few quick things. If you didn't see on my collection and a comment I made in my previous blog, I got Patapon a few days ago. It's really fun so far. A little hard to get used to at times, but otherwise, brilliant

I also got Devil May Cry 4 on PlayStation 3 today. So far... I have sore fingers. It's a good game, but it's just very hard. I'm currently on a bit where there are spikes on the wall, and everytime you touch them, you fall into oblivion, and get attacked. I've had around five attempts so far, and it's beginning to annoy me... Still very fun though

As I said in a previous blog, I'm going to France on the 2nd, so I might not be able to blog before then. Anyway... Tar tar for now

PS: Just going to give a link to a really funny show I'm hooked on. The player it uses can only be used by people in the UK I think, and it will expire by Friday 1st. Watch it ASAP. It's awesome

Yeah. So the title kinda gives it away. I got a sexy black Slim+Lite PSP with LocoRoco. LocoRoco is my only game at the moment, but I'll be getting some more by the time I go to France. So... Whoop for me. Connected up to the internet and annoyed my mum by calling the home phone through Skype. Funny stuff. Loaded a few Marilyn Manson albums along with a Pendulum album. Trying to get my Nine Inch Nails on now.

Just a quick massage to say I now have an account on GiantBomb.Com. My account still needs a bit of pimpin', but I'll probably end up going on it more than GameSpot since it isn't filtered on my school's computers, but GameSpot is. Not sure why...

Anyway, my username is MoraySM- a shortened version of my name

Yeah, so I finally got past level 20. So whoop for me.

I also watched a lot of GameSpot's E3 coverage and I was impressed. I managed to watch it all apart from the MicroSoft conference. The Nintendo one was absolutely terrible. They still don't have any games with enough testosterone to get me interested. They're all too manga-ish. The Sony Press Conference was awesome. I loved the presentation that they did with LittleBIGPlanet. It was great. I think that'll be the game I'm looking forward to the most for this year.

I'll be going off to France for 10 days on the 2nd, so in order to shut me up, my mum is getting me a PSP. I was wondering what games/ films to get so if any of you guys can recommend something to me, that'll be great.

I got Super Stardust HD a few days ago and I'm loving it. It's very hard though. I'm on level 3 out of 5, and I only have like 3 trophies, so I'll be playing that a lot in the future. It was definitely worth £5. On the other hand, I got £5 worth of MotorStorm maps and vehicles which weren't really worth it.

Meh. Wasn't my money anyway. Later guys

... If it continues to be so biast towards the Xbox 360. GameSpot was much better off when I joined. They still had Jeff, Ryan and Brad... The only good thing that has happened to GameSpot recently would be that that Xbox fan-boy Alex Nevarro has gone. Watch some of his video reviews on third party games and tell me he doesn't say something about the Xbox 360 version being better in all of them. I only saw him review one PlayStation 3 exclusive- MotorStorm- and he was even harsh towards that too. He gave it something like a 7.9 when it clearly deserved something closer to a 9.0! The graphics were amazing, sound was booming and the gameplay was solid.

Hear me out, if any of you PlayStation 3 fans are still out there, give me one reason why I should stay... This site is nearly dead to me now

It came out today, but due to me being at school, I haven't had the chance to see that much of it. It's pretty useful but at the moment, very few games work with the trophy and music features. Maybe some patches are needed?

I've just completed it for the second time now. I am in no way saying that it is a short game, I'm just saying that I seem to get through it very quickly. I have finished it for the second time on Solid Normal, and by doing so, I got the rank of "Pigeon"- To not kill a single enemy in the game. I unlocked the Bandana with that and I'll use it tomorrow on my new The Boss Extreme game

For those of you who have a PlayStation 3 but have not played this, then shame on you. For those of you who have Xbox 360s or Nintendo Wiis, HA!

Well, after something like two days of solid gaming, I have finally finished the game I have waited four years for- and may I just say, I enjoyed every second of it. Such an amazing game. Probably my favourite game yet, or at least on par with Final Fantasy XII. I'll have a review up shortly. Maybe even sooner than you think.
  • 13Jun 08
No. It isn't. Check out the video review if you don't believe me. I just got it on the way back from school and it is AWESOME. Get it. Now. Once I've completed it, I'll play the online with some of you. Interested? I have to say, it is one of the best games I have played. The only downside is probably the dodgy controls. They're a bit confusing... Probably just me
