While this time last year may have been one of the happiest days of my life, this one today seemed to have the opposite effect. While I endured the mandatory jubility around me, I can't help but think of one thing: I'm old. 22 may not seem too old to those of a greater age, but there isn't really anything to look forward to. At 16 I got my permit, 18 I voted for the first time and at 21 was finally able to legally drink. But after that? I suppose there is always senior citizen discounts at around 65 to look forward to.

Because the Nationals pitching is just that good.

So the baseball season finally kicked off for real a few minutes ago, a game I can actually watch and not have to get at 6 in the morning to do so. Nats Braves, and I would like the thank the Nats for knocking off their number one starter, now the Phils don't have to face him in the first real series coming up, this one game opening thing is useful after all.

And it seems pretty good so far. The campaign mode thing is a bit strange, but it's different and that intrigues me. I need to practice for a while offline, but eventually I'll get the online crap set up to play people.
