I waited for the game ever since it was announced way back. When i first got to know Monster Hunter Freedom from GSpot,i told myself ''this is a game that i must have''.And indeed, when i did get the game and played it,i was duely impressed.A GSpot review that followed didnt give the game its due.It mattered not.
Then came Monster Hunter Freedom 2.with the hype it caused upon release in Japan way in February was enough to have me get the Japanese copy while i wait for the English version. My impression was no more than pleasantly impressed.Even being in a foreign language i managed to progress rather far in the game. There was no denying that MHF2 was going to be The Game after MHF.
Was curious to see a review from GSpot. At last this time, with all the contents included in MHF2,opinions might changed, but horrified i was when i read the first line of the review.I dont give a damn to the review or the reviewer, but what was said and written surely discredits one of the best games one will come across the PSP.
Blasphemy, insult, sacrilege.i cant seem to say worser words to such a disastrous review.GSpot should know who to put to review mate.I do not wish to opine, but would the first person who had the first hand on of the game done it,we would have seen a fairer review.
I do not ask of a re review as my wish means nothing to people out there. And that (like i said before)i dont give a damn to such crappy reviews, but man,GSpot, get yourself better reviewers. This guys was totally against MHF2.like he had some kinda grudge against the soft.get a hold of yaself mate,if MHF2 was to overwhelming for you,why did u even touch it.....
The more i write, the more pissed,so i shall bring this put an end to it all.I know Monster Hunter fans out there were no happy even with that review and it pains to see the 5.0 under Monster Hunter Freedom 2 everytime you go on the PSP homepage.Just a closing word:if a game is too much for you, please, for fans sake, dont review it,give it to someone who can.
Its been long since i last visited GSpot or even posted anything on it.time is short for me.and it feels good to finally be spending some time to read news and post at least this blog to tell those who care that i am still around.feel sad not to b able to drop by and check how the Unions are doing but it will come to be possible soon.
Until then.cheers
Things are going pretty well for me playing MHp2nd.I recently made myself HR2,though that was not that easy as i would have expected it to be.Cleared all 1* n 2* village quests. As for the Guild, level 1,2 and 3* quests have all been cleared. Now am tackling quest at 4* but only those that involves gathering.Still cannot make a better weapon to make it through the tougher missons. The only high caliber weapon that i can make is the tachi, but the inability to guard with that weapon doesnt help making it my favourite.Attack speed is quicker than using a GS but if u ant avoid monster attacks then you are toast.
As i have mentioned it earlier,Monsters can deal lots of damege to you even with a defence as high as 170.Gladly mine is something like 213 at the moment.Still am not satisfied with it.I want to bring it at an even higher level. But will need Zs and armor ore.Besides i do not wish to spend all my armor ore on simpler armor sets.Still tryng to gather parts from Los and Ian to make thier armor.
My next target is to face the 1* village quest Tigarex.yet i still dont know whether its a good idea or not.I thnk i can make it this time as i finally learned how to make shock traps. And man, that thing is darn helpful.
Ok,lets go n face Mr Rex.......i will let u know of thw outcome.
Graphics in MHP2nd are at the highest level evr seen.Far better than what we got to see in MHF.The desert zone is the best area i have seen so far with its depth in the horizon.the same technique is used in the Swamp area. And as for the beach area, its simply gorgeous. You'll be amazed to see what the PSP can pull out.I always keep on visiting that area only to see the beach.
My storage capacity have been increased to 500 items( yup, thats a lot compared to the 300 items storage capacity of MHF)and there is an even higher number of items ever seen before.Havent seen much armor yet,but weapons are constantly updated with new items that i bring from quests.I am looking for thunder sacks now to make Eager Cleaver+ and thankfully you dont need to reach G Class in the game to get these.being at HR2 can earn you this item.I still need to face Khezu for that. And that wyvern is something i prefer to stay away from.Gave me a real hard time in the earlier quests.
I have just started the game but i can tell already how it it.A must have for PSP owners. And guys, when the english version comes,go get it.Am having lots of fun playing MHP2nd these days.graphics are even better than seen on MHF,tons of new items and some new locales to hunt in.It was pleasant to see the familiar FnH though, where i took down a Yian Kut Ku,not knowing at first what i was up against when i chose that quest.
I finished the village 1* quests.Very easy.taking down the 2* quets now.The weapon system is very nice.now u can see the weapons and armor u want to create. Those who are particular about the looks will be happy here and on top of the defence ur armor can provide u can add up using armor ores.though i havent used those yet.
Not much time now for me to get my copy of the Japanese version of Monster Hunter Freedom 2.Cant tell how much excited i am.Anyways, had supposedly decided to give up MHF,but it seems my hunger for rubies made me do otherwise. Now its a ruthless hunt for Silver and Gold rubies.I have only been rewarded with plates so far,but my effort continues.
Never seem to have enough of the game. Will definitely quit after i get MHP2nd while i wait for MHF2,which's release is not far from now.
