  New PC - Amazing experience! - Now with Pics!

  I finally have my new PC and it's all up and running!

  I got it a few days back, but the PSU we received was damaged and didn't work. I have the replacement now, and it's working flawlessly.
  I've just given the Crysis demo a go, and it's superb!

  Everything set to Very High, running perfectly smooth with no drop in FPS.
  
  I should be getting my Crysis disk from my friend in a few days (I may as well let him finish it, after all ), so it will be on to the full game!

  Here are a couple of shots of the new rig. One dark, to show off the lights, and one light, to show off the actual machine.

  New PC hardware ordered - next day delivery!

  Well, I've ordered the hardware and casing for my new PC! It's next day delivery, so if all goes well, it will be arrive sometime tomorrow! Oh, exciting stuff!
  
  Here are the specifications of the PC:

  Mobo - Asus P5E3 Premium/Wifi@N Intel X48

  RAM - OCZ 4GB DDR3 PC3-10666C7 1333MHz Platinum (2x2GB)

  GPU - Leadtek GeForce 9800 GX2 1024MB GDDR3

  CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 'Wolfdale' 3.16GHz

  PSU - Antec Quattro 850W PSU

  Soundcard - Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer

  Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB

  Case - Antec Twelve Hundred

  I did get the warnings about not requiring DDR3 RAM but I thought "Ah stuff it" and went with it. Thanks though.
  
  I'll be using Windows Vista. Luckily, a friend has a disk for that.
  
  This PC I'm using now is going into a different room in the house. However, I won't be able to access it nearly as frequently, should Vista disagree with some of my older games.

  Soul Calibur has yet to arrive, however.

  Soul Calibur 4 ordered, GeOW2: LE Pre-ordered, and new PC within next 3 weeks

  
  
  I've ordered Soul Calibur IV for the 360. I'm not a big fan of fighting games, however this one had me interested, and the demo pretty much sealed the deal. Should arrive Tuesday. (curse those bank-holiday mondays!)
  
  As an update, my new PC should be sorted out within the next 3 weeks. The machine specs are pretty much identical to those I listed in a previous blog post. I'm hoping for sooner rather than later of course, but it's close now, whenever it is!
  
  I also forgot to mention at first, that I've pre-ordered the Gears of War 2 Limited Edition. I should be getting that when it's released.
