    ROH Koch Vision DVD Thoughts

I have all 4 Koch Vision DVDs and here is what I think of them:

    First off ROH Bloodstained Honor:

    1. Samoa Joe vs. Jay Briscoe in a Steel Cage - 3/13/04 (features new commentary)
    2. The Second City Saints (CM Punk & Ace Steel) vs. The Prophecy (Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer) in a Chicago Street Fight- 7/24/04 (features new commentary)
    3. CM Punk vs. Jimmy Rave in a Dog Collar match - 5/07/05
    4. Generation Next (Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, Jack Evans, & Matt Sydal) vs. The Embassy (Jimmy Rave, Alex Shelley, Abyss, & Prince Nana) in Steel Cage Warfare - 12/3/05
    5. Colt Cabana vs. Homicide in a Ghetto Street Fight - 2/25/06
    6. Team ROH (Samoa Joe, Adam Pearce, & BJ Whitmer) vs. Team CZW (Chris Hero, Super Dragon, & Necro Butcher) - 4/22/06
    7. Colt Cabana vs. Jimmy Jacobs in a Windy City Death Match - 2/24/07
    8. Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe in a Boston Street Fight - 8/10/07

This is easily the best one out of them all great matches through out. Not one bad match on this one this is what Best Ofs should have. I say if you could only get one get this one.

    Best Match: Steel Cage Warfare

    Overall Score: 9/10

    ROH Greatest Rivalries

    1. CM Punk vs. Raven (Dog Collar March- Elizabeth, NJ, 7/19/03) -.

    2. Samoa Joe vs. Homicide (ROH World Title Match- Wauwatosa, WI, 7/23/04)

    3. AJ with Mick Foley vs. Jimmy Rave (Clash vs. Rave Clash Match- Lake Grove, NY, 9/17/05)

    4. Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Austin Aries & Roderick Strong (ROH World Tag Team Title Match - Liverpool, UK, 8/12/06)

    5. BJ Whitmer vs. Jimmy Jacobs (Steel Cage Match- Detroit, MI, 3/31/07)

    6. Bryan Danielson vs. Austin Aries (3rd Match In The Best of Three Series- Philadelphia, PA 11/2/07)

    7. Adam Pearce, Ace Steel, Colt Cabana, & BJ Whitmer vs. Claudio Castagnoli, Super Dragon, Necro Butcher, & Spyder Nate Webb (Team ROH vs. Team CZW Anything Goes Match - Dayton, OH, 4/28/06)

    8. Roderick Strong vs. Erick Stevens (FIP World Heavyweight Title Match- New York, NY 12/30/07)

Another very good DVD my only promblems with this one is the CZW vs. ROH match I would of liked to see the Cage of Death. CM Punk vs. Raven hasn't aged very well no post match stuff here. AJ vs. Rave wasn't really that good until the end.

Best Match: Jimmy Jacobs vs. BJ Whitmer

    Overal Score: 8.25/10

    ROH Best in the World

1.Samoa Joe vs. Kenta Kobashi- New York, NY 10/01/05

    2. AJ & Matt Sydal vs. Dragon Kid & Genki Horiguchi- Detroit, MI, 3/30/06

    3. KENTA vs. Austin Aries- Chicago Ridge, IL, 6/24/06

    4. Samoa Joe vs. Kikutaro with Mick Foley- Elizabeth, NJ, 2/19/05

    5. Bryan Danielson vs. Lance Storm (ROH World Title Match Chicago Ridge, IL, 4/01/06) -

    6. CM Punk vs. Terry Funk- Philadelphia, PA, 9/20/03

    7. Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Naruki Doi & Shingo (ROH World Tag Team Title Match- Liverpool, UK, 3/03/07)

    8. Claudio Castagnoli vs. El Generico (Race to the Top Tournament Finals- Edison, NJ, 7/28/07)

    9. Takeshi Morishima vs. Nigel McGuinness (ROH World Title Match- Edison, NJ, 4/14/07)

Very Good. Some promblems that I have with this one is the CM Punk vs. Terry Funk match I don't know why they put this one on the dvd not a good match at all. Samoa Joe vs. Kikutaro isn't the best pure wrestling matches but its one of the funniest.

Best match: Samoa Joe vs. Kenta Kobashi

Overall Score: 8.5 out of 10

Finally we have ROH Stars of Honor

    1. Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk -12/4/04 (features new commentary)
    2. Homicide vs. Antonio "MVP" Banks- 2/19/05 (features new commentary)
    3. James (Noble) Gibson vs. Roderick Strong- 4/2/05 (features new commentary)
    4. Bryan Danielson vs. Brian "Spanky" Kendrick- 4/2/05 (features new commentary)
    5. Matt Hardy vs. Homicide- 8/12/05
    6. Matt Hardy vs. Roderick Strong- 8/13/05
    7. Christopher Daniels vs. Christian Cage- 7/29/06
    8. Samoa Joe & Jay Lethal vs. Low Ki & Homicide - 8/13/05

    Bonus material:
    9. The History of Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk
    10. Larry Sweeney confronts Bruno Sammartino
    11. Mick Foley and CM Punk promo

Good DVD the weakest of the four. This is a good DVD but there isn't that many great matches and they just threw in a ton of names that people would know and hope that they will get it.

Best Match: Bryan Danielson vs. Spanky

    Overall Score: 7.5

You get a card in every DVD. I got a Nigel MGuinness, Briscoe Brothers (2), Bryan Danielson and Roderick Strong.

Get these DVDs if you can. Where I live when they came out they didn't have them at Best Buy. I had to go 30 minutes to another town and got to a FYE in a mall to get them I got them all for $7.99 each. If you can't find them there you can get them at amazon.com and rohwrestling.com.

    ROH Return Engagement Review

•1. Austin Aries vs. Silas Young. This match was basically a squash match. Young got in some offense but Aries got the win at the end with a brain buster/ last chancery combo. *1/2

•2. Necro Butcher vs. Alex Payne and Mitch Franklin. This started out being just Franklin vs. Payne but Jacobs sent out Necro and Necro hit them with chair shots and barbwire fist. Necro gets the win after pinning both men. ¼*

•3. Adam Pearce and Brent Albright vs. Claudio Castagnoli and Pelle. This was a decent tag match Pearce and Albright beat up Pelle for most of the match. Claudio got the hot tag Pearce accidentally hits Albright with his bag. Then Claudio hits Albright with the Ricola Bomb. **

•4. SHIMMER Four Corner Survival Match: Lacey vs. Daizee Haze vs. MsChif vs. Ashley Lane. This was a good match these ladies showed us that Women's wrestling is still good. MsChif gets the win after she hit Lane with the Desecrator. **3/4

•5. Delirious vs. Chris Hero. Chris is now the Knockout Kid as he beat Delirious with a roaring elbow this was an okay match nothing special. **1/2

Now this is were the show gets really good.

•6. Murder City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) vs. The Briscoe Brothers. Last year these two teams stole the show at Good Times Great Memories and this year they did it again another great match between these two teams. Note to TNA: PUSH THE MACHINE GUNS. The Guns get the win after Shelley hit a Super Slice Bread #2. ****1/2

After the match we have the AOTF attacking the Briscoes witch leads to Mark's wrist injury.

•7. Kota Ibushi vs. El Generico. This was a great match Kota is really good. People say during his ROH matches he did the same stuff every match. I've only seen this match and the one against Richards and wasn't bothered by him doing the same stuff during the course of the match. Kota gets the win after he hit Generico with Firebird Splash. ****1/4

•8. AOTF (Black, Gowen and Matthews) vs. The Vulture Squad. This match was decent something didn't click during this one the AOTF won after Black hit Evans with a Package Piledriver. **

•9. ROH World Title Match: Nigel McGuinness (c) vs. Kevin Steen. This was a very good match but something was missing during this match to make it great it just was there nothing great that you will remember. Nigel won after he hit Steen with a Jawbreaker Lariat. ***1/2

This was a good show through out the night there was very good Jimmy Jacobs-Austin Aries- Lacey segment witch helped the show out. The first half didn't have anything that you will remember or care about the second half was really good Kota-Generico and Briscoes- Machine Guns make this show worth getting.

    Thumbs Up

    Overall Score: 8.5/10
