I tried the Nascar '08 demo at a friend's house. My response: don't buy it. I don't care how much of a Nascar fan you are. The controls are way too touchy, the sound is questionable at times, and the graphics aren't as good as they could be. That, and it's light on features.
I might get a 360 just for Oblivion. Oh, and Halo 3.

Got both Halo 2 and Metroid Prime 2. I got a few hours in with MP2, but then got hooked on Halo, which I've almost beaten. Had a friend over Thursday night and we played through almost the entire campaign.
Getting Xbox Live once I got a job, which won't be till summer...freakin' homework.
Didn't make the Online 500, but that's ok. It's not like I practiced for it.

Hmmm let's see...um, Halo, Halo, and more Halo. I had 2 friends over one night and we did multiplayer for hours on end. Then I had one friend over and we did half of the campaign in co-op, and it froze after almost every level. But hey, those were some great nights with a great game.
Not much else going on lately. I'm going to make a qualifying attempt for the TSW 500 (www.online500.com). I doubt I'll make it since I didn't put much time into my car setup.
I beat that one really annoying level in Splinter Cell, too. The story's gotten quite interesting. I'm also doing quite a bit of Project Gotham 2. That game is strangely addicting.
Again, ever since school's started I haven't had much time to play, but I got some time over Christmad break to do some of that stuff.

Am I the only one who thinks a lot of great games came out in 2006, like more than usual? We got Oblivion, Gears of War, GRAW and Rainbow 6, GTR 2, and FFXII. I don't recall so many great games coming out in 2005, but maybe that's just me.
Last night my friend was over and he brought his brand new PS3 with!!!! We took it online and I tried posting a blog here, but it wouldn't go through. In fact, I was generally unimpressed with the PS3's online capabilities. It struggled to stream video and some pages simply took forever to load. But otherwise, it was great. He had a demo for Genji (thought it was kinda lame) and Motorstorm (LOVED IT). So in short: the PS3 is a slick, well-made machine that should only get better as time goes on. And wow it's huge, especially compared to the Wii. On top of that, it gives off a ton of heat.
Now that I have the Xbox, I FINALLY got Halo. Yep. I waited 5 years, but it was worth the wait.

...wow that month went fast...didn't play much...um...
a little Timesplitters 2, a little Splinter Cell, a little Forza, and some Nascar 2003...sorry. I really didn't make any progress in any of them...
...bye...
oh, and i'm trying metroid prime on hard level. it's not that hard yet.

After I beat Metroid Prime, I haven't done much gaming. School's really got in the way so I've barely been able to use either Xbox or Gamecube. But when I did, here's what I did.
I did quite a bit of online racing in Nascar 2003. I'm starting to get into that game a lot again. I borrowed Soul Caliber II from a friend, and that's a pretty good game. And when I had the chance, I gave Splinter Cell a shot. It's a hard game, so I didn't get too far.
My Xbox still won't read many of my disks. That infuriates me because I got Gamecube games off of Ebay all the time and they worked fine. But no, Xbox just sucks.
I also got a MadCatz universal wheel for PS2, Xbox, and GC. And now my friend got the PS2, so I can use it all consoles.

Honestly, Xbox and PS2 are better than Gamecube, but with the reduced price, I recommend getting it just for these games:
1. Zelda: Collector’s edition.
2. Metroid Prime
3. Super Smash Bros. Melee
there are other great games that I haven't played. But there's a few exclusively for the Gamecube that are incredible.

Feel free to read my review Metroid Prime. Wow, awesome game. My 3 favorite games of all time...played all 3 in a row...weird.
My Xbox is here but I'm a tad worried. About two or three times a week I get an error message saying my disk is dirty when it's not. I asked my friend, who also has one, and he says it's pretty typical.
Anyone have similar problems?
err Forza motorsport is too realistic...I need a wheel

Last week I got my wisdom teeth out, and now that the pain is gone, i got a cold. Life is great, isn't it?
I hope to get an Xbox soon. My friend and have a plan where one of us gets a PS2 and the other gets an Xbox because we were both stupid and got Gamecubes.
I have the greatest urge to play Luigi's mansion right now. I played it a few years ago and found it decent..I just don't remember it that well.

Now that I've given up on FFVII for a little while, i decided to go back and try Majora's Mask. Quite frankly, I hate it. It relies so heavily on little minigames and stuff that after a while I forget what I'm even trying to accomplish. Yeah, this game actually sucks compared to Ocarina of Time.
And I just added over 50 games to the "my collection" thing gamespot has. i didn't realize i had that many games.

Ok, the ending is irritating me to no end. It's not because Safer Sephiroth keeps killing me...it's because when he kills me I gotta do all the boss fights all over again. Getting sick of it....
I already know how it ends, so I'm not desperate to beat it anymore. Right now it's just downright frustrating. The game won't even let me leave the northern cave.
And I know I'll disappoint some friends when I say this, but I still find Ocarina of Time better than FFVII. Sorry guys

My computer's back but I still hate it. I mean, the video card only has freakin 64 MB.
In terms of gaming I haven't done much more than FFVII lately. Strange enough, lately I haven't done much Nascar 2003 or any racing, for that matter. However, I did try the GTR 2 demo after waiting so long for it, and it's pretty decent. It certainly has a different feel to it, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I need to spend more time with it before I can determine how good of a sim it is.

Ok, first I was getting sick of Final Fantasy VII because of all the random enemies i encountered. i freakin couldn't get anywhere. are most other FF games this full of random bad guys?
then my Windows XP gets messed up by a trojan. so here i am, sitting in a bean bag chair with my old Windows ME on the floor. this aint cool.
oh, and i tried the new Nascar Acceleration mod for rFactor. my thoughts: Nascar 2003 is still king.

Yeah....never really did this so here's my life in terms of gaming lately.
I recently borrowed my friends "Zelda: collector's edition" for Gamecube and beat Ocarina of Time. Simply amazing. I recommend it to just about anyone.
And I'm also borrowing my friend's PSX and I'm trying Final Fantasy VII. Much like Zelda, this game is very addicting. The menu-based combat is new to me but it's certainly a clever idea.
Other than that I haven't done much more gaming lately.
Oh, and don't be fooled by the name "EAfan." I hate EA with a passion after they bought the rights to Nascar and making a horrible "sim." (Check my review)
