All About Element-17

Weevil: Man, anime sucks.

Rex: Yeah, except when there's like... naked chicks.

Weevil: Yeah, and explosions. Fire, fire, yeah!

Rex: So, like, pretty much any anime is cool.

Warning: This blog is MASSIVEly Epic

Yeah, I haven't blogged in a while. We moved to a new house and all. I don't want to bore you with too many details, because this blog is going to be MASSIVE.

I had a test yesterday in architecture, and that was massive. It was somewhere between 5 and 1,005 questions. It was so massive that when my teacher rested the test on his or her car, it left a dent in the bumper. However, this blog is going to be MASSIVE. It will break the Internets.

To make up for lost blogging time, I'm just going to keep it low-key. I'll show a few videos and pictures, and then you'll forgive me for not being online for a while. Okay?

To get started, let's have a little lesson in Japanese. I'll show a picture and give you the romaji Japanese word for it. It's your assignment to figure out what that word means.
    KitsuneKitsuneInuInuRisuRisuUsagiUsagiHyooHyooTakaTakaHitsujiHitsujiUshiUshi

Now it's time for some epic videos. I'll be comparing Japanese epicness to the non-epicness of the U.S.

    Too Epic for Guitar Hero

    Too Epic for the Law

Too Epic for the U.S. Nation

    Too Manly Epic for Girls

    Too Epic for One Galaxy

Now we have to catch up with three weeks worth of songs.

    Internet Downtime

This message is only if you're on TV.com. If you're on some toher CNET site, this shouldn't matter to you at all.

ust to let you know, my Internet isn't fully functioning at the moment. I can still post in forums and blogs and check my queue if I have to ( ); it's just that there won't be any Songs of the Day for a while.

Hopefully I can get this fixed by the end of the week. And just because my Internet isn't at 100% doesn't mean you can't enjoy Ichigo 100%.

    Ichigo 100%

And don't worry, I'll find some way to make this up to you.

    What happned?

I'm sure a lot of other stuff happened this week, I just don't remember it. All this week, I've either been insomniac or going to sleep extremely early.

Our school had its annual "Back to School" assembly. They seem to get worse by year. This year's theme is "TV." The important thing is the clubs. Anime is still there, but there's also a Japanese club this year. What do you think that is?

I took my Algebra II readiness exam and got an 89% on it. If I did well, I might go on ahead to pre-calculus. But I haven't heard anything yet, so I guess I have to sit through this maths.

My English teacher is awesome. He or she is showing us a documentary on who was considered the funniest man in the world by the end of the 19th century.

I'm on the second disc of Tales of Symphonia. After two playthorughs, the game is pretty easy. That Advanced Colosseum is giving me trouble, though.

In anime, I started re-watching Shugo Chara! I'm almost caught up with what's been subbed. A few episodes back, there was also a scene that strongly supported the pairing of a certain couple. It was definitely worth watching.

After Shugo Chara!, I'll continue with Itazura na Kiss. I want to at least finish those two series before the fall anime season starts.

One more thing. Do think that these two are boys or girls? Or one boy and one girl?
    Dori and Gura

Their names are Dori and Gura (ignore the guy in the middle) from Utawarerumono. The only clues I'll give you are that:

    1) they use "bokutachi," which is a normally a masculine way of refering to oneself, although some girls use it as well; and

    2) in one episode, they were looking at feminine jewelry such as pearls and necklaces, although they might be at the curious age for boys.

Well, have fun figuring it out!

The funniest man in the world by the end of the 19th century was
    ***SPOILER***

In addition to telling jokes, he was also a very insightful man.
    ***SPOILER***
