Literally, I've been hooked to this thing for days on end. Initially, I didn't really like the Ultimate Team but I never really gave it a fair chance
. After one failed team, I've started on my new club - Canucks United. All these screens are taken from the FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) web app which is epic, I can play the game and make money, without really playing the game xD. Note that this is my first time really playing Ultimate Team, so advice on team building would be great because I'm just going along and trying my best
.The Club

Canucks United - derived from my favourite teams, the Vancouver Canucks and Manchester United. Spared no expense in buying the United badge, kits, and Old Trafford. Pretty silly considering it cost a fair bit, and they're only vanity items but hey, whatever
. The ball is from the World Cup 2010 final, the Jo'bulani. It was cheap, and I loved the 2010 World Cup
.The Squad (Click on Pic for link to FIFA web app squad)
This is my bronze squad, composed out of all English players of bronze quality. I use it to play single player matches against Legendary A.I. enter tournaments, and sometimes go online to get destroyed
. There's a few missing pieces in the side, like a winger who has a decent skill move level and a decent bench striker. Playing a 4-3-3 formation with manager Ian Holloway, because I couldn't find any bronze English managers. The Depth Guys, they're important too!

Here's the bench and the reserves. All 23 members of the squad are English, for team chemistry purposes. I like to use a system on the bench - a keeper, a fullback, a centerback, two central midfielders, a winger, and a striker. Fits well with the 4-3-3, and covers every position if a problem arises in-game.
42 goals in 35 apps, is he Messi - or is he Ronaldo?! No he's Jon Franks!

Granted the goals are from playing legendary A.I. he's still the most effective striker I have so far and my favourite player in the squad. Decent pace, basic skill moves, an okay shot too and came very cheap to me at 150 coins.
Silver Squad
Starting to build the pieces for an All English nPower Championship team. Collected a few pieces already, and re-using Ian Holloway plus the 4-3-3. Eventually I want to make an all English Premier League side featuring a 4-3-3 with a Roy Hodgson or Harry Redknapp as manager. There are no national kits and I don't feel bothered to buy look alike England kits so seeing old Stevie Gerrard and John Terry in Mancunian Red will be strange xD. I've only got two more months game time, before I do this all over again in FIFA 10.2, ahem FIFA 12
.Thanks for Reading if you do read this. Comments and tips are appreciated for the FUT newcomer. If any of you guys play FIFA 11 on 360, gamertags please
. And if any of you want to join up my EPL Fantasy League, just tell me. -

Hey guys, this blog will be dedicated to all the footy happenings going on right now in my life
.First, I have to say that the Community Shield game between United and City on Sunday was classic. I mean, the Community Shield might not mean much, but the manner of the victory and the opponents really made it something. The goals were definitely defensive breakdowns from Vidic, Ferdinand, and De Gea but aside from that, United clearly dominated City, which is good to see
.I've also been playing a lot of FIFA 11, and I've been trying to get into Ultimate Team but I'm not liking it too much. Trying to build a team of all English EPL players but whenever I go online, there's a stacked team that kills me
. I also find that players get injured A LOT, and the healing cards are hard to come by. I think I'm gonna try a different approach to FUT, and definitely buy FIFA 12 and play Ultimate Team at the start. As for ranked online, my record took a huge hit, going from 42-15-5, to 46-22-5 after a huge slide of 7 losses.I've also started a fantasy head to head EPL league on premierleague.com with a buddy, looking to get a few more buddies in it
. Also competing in the Canada league, Man Utd league, etc. Team:GKs: Joe Hart, Adam Bogdan
Defenders: Danny Simpson, Nemanja Vidic (Vice Captain), Vincent Kompany, Gary Cahill, Leighton Baines
Midfielders: Luis Nani, Joey Barton, Luka Modric, Matt Jarvis, Cheick Tiote
Strikers: Rooney (Captain), Kevin Davies, Ishmael Miller
It's my first time ever playing fantasy sports really, so I guess it's an okay team
. Really looking forward to the new season. -

-Photoshopping a lot is tiring.
-Math sucks.
-Halo Reach Team Slayer with random people can be frustrating.
-Thiago Alcantara of Barcelona is going to be a cracking player.
-ESPN commentary for footy can't go a few seconds without mentioning the LA Galaxy, Landon Donovan, or Jurgen Klinsmaan despite broadcasting a game with two of the best sides in the game on the pitch in Man Utd and Barcelona.
-Being told to go away when trying to wish good night isn't a good feeling.
Just random tidbits from the day, although the blog title doesn't make sense since it's 2:18 AM and all of this happened yesterday

So what do you think of it guys? The background was taken from Interfacelift.com, it's called Montreux. It's a picture of Montreux, Switzerland. I get all of my backgrounds from Interfacelift, I highly recommend the site. I was trying to get the desktop looking nice, without all the clutter and stuff that my previous design had. I think it looks a fair bit nicer than the previous design too. I'll add a screen of that later.
The overall look of Windows Explorer was changed by installing a custom Visual "Stile" (intentional misspelling, replace the "i" with a "y" - stupid GS) called Appows2010 which I also found through Deviantart. The minimize/maximize/close buttons are kinda hard to see in this screen, you need to mouse over each icon. The overall font of Explorer has been changed too, forgot what it's called.

The Windows Orb has also been changed by Appows2010 and I also changed the Windows login screen with another rework I found on Deviantart, but I can't take a picture of that.

Here's the dock, which is a custom Simple Dark skin for RocketDock using Lucid Icons from Deviantart. Also, the games docklet uses the Stacks Docklet addon for RocketDock.

The clock/date/weather skin is Elementary for Rainmeter. The Sidebar/RSS feeds and other meters on the right were from Enigma, also a skin set for Rainmeter. The bottom taskbar where the dock is layered is also Enigma.

Here's the old desktop that I had, very cluttered, and had unnecessary apps/skins. That's what I tried to limit this time around - by taking a more minimalistic approach. I might remove the Enigma sidebar, and add a few meters or buttons to the bottom taskbar. Just trying to keep it clean and minimal. There's a few other skins that I've been looking to use to customize, but I like the desktop how it is right now. Next blog will probably be a YouTube channel redesign showcase.

Hey guys, checking in again. Been meaning to put this blog out there for a while, but never really got around to it because you know, I'm lazy
. It's 3 AM over here, and I don't feel the slightest bit fatigued so time for a blog.Currently undergoing a massive overhaul of my Windows 7 desktop with edited Visual Styles, RocketDock, and a plethora of Rainmeter apps and skins. I've been planning to do this for a long time now, after re-installing Windows a while back and getting tired of the blandness of my desktop. I really think that the last time I implemented Rainmeter, the end result was pretty bad
. I'll show comparison shots when I'm done.Speaking of overhauls, I'm thinking that I need a makeover on this blog like a header and banner, because that's all GS really allows for. I'm thinking of keeping the sports theme, but changing it to Man Utd. Hey Dan, I'd bet you'd like that
. I've thinking of creating a Ryan Giggs banner and header, and I'll start finding suitable renders and textures to get started.I've been gaming on Bad Company 2, KOTOR and of course the obligatory FM. I've been anticipating BF3 and for some reason SWTOR. I really have a feeling that SWTOR could end up a flop, but I'm still interested because it's BioWare. BF3 will be a definite pickup, and it launches around my birthday too. I'm hoping that I can get into the betas for both BF3 (alpha for BF3 right now) and SWTOR, keeping fingers crossed.
I think that's it for now. There's a lot more personal stuff that I really have to get out of my mind, but I'll wait for another day.

So last night, I decided to try out the demo for that Atlus game Catherine after hearing the uproar of some 9.0 score on IGN. Honestly, it should've taken about 30 mins or less, but I was stuck for like two hours on that
. At the end I finished it, after realizing that pulling out the blocks is better than constantly pushing them
. It was something completely new to me, but I'm never going to buy it.I also thought it would be a good idea for an all nighter too. Really, it was boring. Just read up on some history, game reviews, game info, and sports stuff. I ended up falling asleep at 7AM, and waking up at around 1PM. My neck kills because I was in an awkward position; it's killed all day and still does
.Today all day, it's been pretty miserable. Bored as always. Burned out on Halo Reach, and got pwned a bit in Team Slayer so I think I'll keep Reach on the shelf while I finish up Bioshock. Speaking of Bioshock, I'm figuring out that Rapture is a really messed up place, and that Andrew Ryan is scary. Oh, and Big Daddies are tough to kill.
In my Football Manager save, I'm in my 7th year now. I've moved to Chelsea, which is heresy for any United fan, but one of my Chelsea buddies dared me to clean up the team, after I told him that the team was underperforming. That's all for now guys.

For the last semester of school, I've been physically, emotionally, and mentally drained. Exhaustion, expectation, commitment, issues, work, it goes on and on and on. They've all played a role. First semester was fine, but this second semester were the most trying months that I've ever experienced.
At first, I was doing a lot of course work because of peers who just didn't care. Averaging about 10-15 hours of sleep a week for a majority of this obviously added to overall tiredness. After a bit, I just stopped giving a **** because this year wasn't important. I've never fallen asleep in a class before. But this semester, it was every single day where I've fallen asleep in class. Even after a week off during March Break, I was tired going back. My history teacher noticed and joked that I needed another week. Yeah, she was right.
As well, there have been so many personal problems, I've lost count. I've tried very hard to keep everything running but despite everything, everything has fallen apart. Emotionally draining as well. I look at everything negatively now. I'm irritated by things and people that never used to bother me. It's scary.
Now it's summer. I still wake up tired. I'm still negative, and it's not quite going as planned. I've rested for a couple of weeks now and it's not gone away. I think I'll give it a few more.
On another note, I think Sports Interactive (Football Manager devs) have complete control over me.

It's been an extremely long time since the 28th of May, which was the last date of posting on this blog. Timelessly, I've said that I'll start blogging more and commenting more around here but this is never the case. I can't promise that anymore, but I will make an effort to post here and comment some more. I'm not quitting Gamespot, I still check back daily - I just don't post. That may or may not change

A lot has happened since then. Where to begin? Erm. Sports. Man Utd humiliated in a Champions League final by a certain Catalan side yet again. And the City of Vancouver besieged by "fans" after a defeat in the Stanley Cup final. I'm lucky to witness two finals this year and an EPL title. It would've been even sweeter if it were a Treble but it was a great experience nonetheless. Heartbreaking too.
School's been out for a while too. I'm exhausted from that. Too much procrastination here and there, but I still did reasonably well. This year of school doesn't matter anyways in the grand scheme of things, so I don't care. It's done and I can relax until the next. That's when things really start to matter anyways.
Personal life has been a mess. I don't want to get too much into it.
So now that that's out of the way, here's what I've been doing so far in the summer. Depending on perspective, these things I've done can either be viewed as productive or non

-Discovered Eastside Hockey Manager 2007, made by the Footy Manager guys. Addicted already, and won a Stanley Cup with my Vancouver Canucks.
-Started learning Blender and Python. Haven't done much on this since.
-Created a couple Vancouver Canucks using FIFA 11's player creator. That's how lifeless I am
.-Actively transferred players on FIFA 11 to make sure my game was up to date.
-Started up Red Dead Redemption again. I think I might be able to finish it.
-Worked on a lot of YouTube stuff. Check it out, here's a link to the channel
(Mm shameless plug? I think so
)- Lifelessly celebrated Bungie Day 2011 by finishing Halo Reach on Legendary. I have a new found appreciation for the campaign, the Halo universe, and Bungie.
I'm sure I missed out on some things, but that's pretty much what I've done so far. I'm planning on working on more YouTube stuff, finishing more games, and hopefully getting a few more to add to the collection. Hmm, to end off; as of right now the game I'm most hyped up for? Bioshock Infinite. My reaction to watching the 15 minute demo:

So a lot of things have been bugging me lately so I'm going to vent it all here. I'm different from the norm around where I live, so I'm into different things and I have different interests. But the flack I get for it sometimes is just plain ridiculous. Where to start...
So I'm Chinese. Yeah, I'm supposed to love anime
. I don't hate anime, I just don't like it and I never watch it because I don't find it particularly interesting. It's always like "OMG you're Asian, why don't you watch anime?", "What's wrong with you , you don't like ANIME!". It's because I don't like it, not everyone has to fall into a stereotype AND not every Chinese person is obsessed with anime. Then there's the fact that I don't play Nintendo games and never really have besides Pokemon which I love. I was doing this song with a friend for music at school, a Trumpet-Sax quartet and he chose Legend of Zelda theme as the piece. I wasn't familiar with the piece so I was listening to it on YouTube to try and pick up on some of the rhythms. Then these guys are like "ZOMG, how do you not know it?". I responded by saying that I never really played Zelda and the other person goes "Wow, how can you not ever have played it?" with his friend saying "What kind of childhood did you have?". WTF? So what, I DIDN'T HAVE Nintendo consoles. Is that really so strange? I grew up on Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and other Playstation games. Who the hell are you to say what kind of childhood I had? Because I didn't play Zelda?
grow up and get over yourselves. And those guys were older then me, way to set a positive role model. And the Apple fanboys, god the Apple fanboys. I'll admit I made the mistake of luring them on this one because I did post a very controversial picture of my brother's MacBook Pro desktop with a wallpaper saying that Macs Suck however I just thought it was funny and ironic
. They attacked like a rabid swarm with their whole Macs are way better than PCs argument. It was the most senseless debate I've ever had because I admitted that MacBook Pros are quality laptops (desktops are another story, but I'll save it) but they just aren't worth the price. I also admitted that it's just opinion too. They responded with some silly arguments, some that would make some techies cringe. And personal attacks, stating that I didn't have a Mac and couldn't afford one so I hated on it. First, BS, how the hell did I make the effing picture. Second, you don't have one yourself. Here are the arguments.- Macs look cool and sleek.
- Macs last longer then PCs as PCs become obsolete quick.
- Macs don't get viruses.
- Macs are a better value.
- Macs have more programs and better programs and games.
- Better hardware.
- No blue screens or freezing.
- Windows steals all of the Macs ideas.
- NOT overclocking is a good thing because it's dangerous.
- Macs don't have to be rebooted all the time like Windows.
- Uniqueness and organization.
- Awesome trackpads.
Some of the things there are just pure BS. I don't care about looks, I don't care about viruses because a majority of people aren't stupid enough to get them. I don't get blue screens, the two gaming rigs I've built cost less than a Mac so where's the value in the Mac? The only two programs I like on Mac are Final Cut Pro and GarageBand and to more programs, better programs and even games are on the Mac is just kind of silly. The Macs don't have better hardware, overclocking is not a bad thing and is not even remotely dangerous in the right hands. I leave my PC on all the time, I never reboot. My desktop is clean, my system is organized. Finally, I don't give a **** about a stupid trackpad.
I do own some Apple products like my iPod and the Mac and I don't mind them, they're actually good products. But these fanboys just piss me off
.Then there's the sports haters. First, I support Manchester United. That just sets me up for haters right off the back. I know, I live in CANADA so I clearly have no business supporting them so I'm clearly a gloryhunter/bandwagoner or whatever the hell they call them. Well you know what? I don't care. I wake up every Saturday morning to catch the games early in England. I hate it when I have school during the Champions League games in the midweek. I know that it was originally named Newton Heath Lancashire York Railway Football Club. I know of Sir Matt Busby and his fabled Busby Babes. I know of Edwards, Charlton, Best, Irwin, Scholes, Giggs, the Nevilles, Beckham, Keane, Cantona, Schmeichel, Solskjaer, and many others from past to present who have played for the Red side of Manchester. Geography doesn't matter.
Plus I support the Canucks over the Leafs despite living in the GTA. Maybe I've gotten sick and tired of the media here, but I just can't stand it here in the "Center of the Hockey Universe". And you know, I do prefer living in Vancouver as opposed to here in the GTA. So when I'm participating at the track and field events at York University and decide that I want to wear my Canucks jersey to show some support and to keep warm, then I'll do it. I can take the Canucks suck banter from other students at the meet but what I don't need is some guy driving a truck that belongs to the University, slowing down, and rolling down the window, just to shout at me "Vancouver blows!" before driving off while I'm grabbing lunch with friends. I'm not even sure if he meant the Canucks, or the city of Vancouver itself because he said Vancouver instead of the Canucks. It could've been friendly banter, but I wonder why he drove away so quickly.
Normally I just let these things slide and I did. But tonight I just felt that it was all just a bit too much and I wanted to get some out of mind and out of thought. Ugh, I know some people have differing opinions on things but some of the things that I've had to deal with are just insane. And for what? Just because I'm different.

Hey guys, just checking in tonight. But anyways, did some running today for my track event of 3000m before going to McDonalds to abuse their $1 drink thing. Generally it was a good time.
So in gaming matters, I've gotten back onto the FIFA 11 online track. I haven't played FIFA 11 online in forever because of the community, but I decided to go back and play it. I stopped playing with a record of 15 wins, 6 losses, and a draw. After coming back, I'm 5 and 1 which is good to me, considering I'm not the best at FIFA. Any of you guys play FIFA 11 on 360?
Tomorrow's an important day, my high school band is performing at a competition. Not really nervous or anything so yeah. Another blog will probably be on Saturday.

Haven't really been active here, I'll try to get back to that soon. But I've been working on YouTube stuff and the blog for that channel and yes, even a Twitter (I can't believe I made an account. It's somehow useful sometimes). It'd be great if you guys could check that stuff out. I'll be back to regular blogging soon.

Ignore my last blog post guys (it's deleted). Everything was worked out, so no need to worry. As for what I'm playing, it's still a load of Halo Reach and now TES IV Oblivion! I've never gotten into the game, I hated it so much. I lowered my standards a bit, now I'm enjoying my first proper playthrough with the vanilla game to figure out what I want to change with the game. I've already got a shortlist of things that I'll want to mod.
Anyways if you guys have any recommended mods, please tell me. Is the Unofficial Oblivion patch recommended? I'll be retrying Nehrim later. Also now that I'm enjoying Oblivion so much, should I go and get Morrowind?
