Hey guys, just here to update. Things in life have been sort of complicated, but gaming wise still playing Civ V, FIFA 11, Nehrim (An Oblivion total conversion mod) and Halo Reach. I'll be giving Medal of Honor another go with the open beta tomorrow, and I'm awaiting Fallout New Vegas which isn't a 100% buy for me. I've largely been active on other boards, mainly RoosterTeeth and RedCafe (A Man Utd fan forum). See you guys next time.

Hey guys, since I got a lot of new games, I might start reviewing them again. Recently I've just been giving ratings and stuff like that but after reading reviews I did a couple of years ago, they really suck and everyone agreed with them anyways... So yeah, I'll be trying to review maybe starting with FIFA 11, Civilization V (Damn it, I can't stop playing it) and Halo Reach.
Also, stuff happens in life, kind of sucks, don't want to talk about it. Something that did cheer me up today was some good old football, not including what a debacle the Carling Cup this week turned out to be. Chelsea lost, Liverpool drew, Arsenal lost, it was great!
UPDATE: I got FIFA 11, and Civ V mods are starting to fly out so I'm scrapping the review idea simply due to lack of time. School, and actually playing games is taking up most of my time, so when I actually get a review out, it'll be pretty outdated.

Well the first week of school is done for me, and it was quite boring. Mostly review and stuff but whatever. So I wake up this morning early (7AM EST) to watch the Man Utd vs. Everton game. Everton take the lead at the 38th minute, but United strike back at 42. And then we knock in two more goals and everything's looking perfect at the 80th. But then it starts. Park on for Evra. Understandable, Evra hasn't been great after the World Cup.
Now it's the 90th minute. Hmm.. Gary Neville is still out there. A problem maybe? Nope, a two goal lead should be good enough. But Tim Cahill scores from a Leighton Baines cross from the Gary Neville's side. Mhmm... Sir Alex, throw Rafael and Gibson on for Neville and O'Shea please. No? Ok. Leighton Baines again, down United's right side. Cross, headed away to an OPEN, and I mean OPEN as in no one around, Mikel Arteta. Fires, off Scholes' hand and into the net... 3-3. Unbelievable. Two goals, two minutes. Unbelievable. What would have been more unbelievable would be if the last action in the game, an Everton break, resulted in a goal. I mean Phil Jagielka took the last shot, and he's a defender. If it were anyone else, it would be 4-3 and I would be in tears. I'm not right now, because at least we still got a point, but it still feels like a loss.
There was no problem with United's performance up until the last ten minutes. We just eased off, didn't make any subs, and Berbatov and Nani squandered chances to ice it to maybe 5-1. We didn't defend, and Jonny Evans has definitely been terrible but he's young and learning. Really need Rio back at this point.
Anyways, I've been downloading The Lord of the Rings Online since it's now F2P and that's pretty much it.

So my summer ends tomorrow, with me having to go back to school. In all honesty, it was a pretty boring summer, besides having two weddings to go to and getting new PC upgrades along with SC II. So I probably won't have time to post much, but I'll try my best.

Man, I just got my computer fixed up (still need to re-do , and after a couple of weeks of not playing SCII, BC2 and the like, I find myself still playing Football Manager 2010. I had a six season campaign playing with Manchester United that I felt got stale (Six consecutive EPL titles, and six consecutive Champions League victories), and my second playthrough with Man Utd got boring as well (3 years). I decided to play my third play through with Tottenham (With a new database change, with transfers done). I won the Champions League playoff with Celtic and am currently second in my Champions League group and 1st in the EPL (9 games, 23 points).
Also, a pair of Sennheiser CX300 headphones came in the mail today. Yay, no more crappy iPod earbuds.

Hey guys, I've been absent for about a month thanks to my motherboard shorting out on me.. Now that NCIX was very kind and helpful to RMA it for me, and it surprising me by arriving today, I set everything back up again. But wait. Now my graphics card seems to be an issue. It won't display anything unless I'm physically holding the back part of it up, which is very strange. Also, the screwholders that hold the DVI cables in place have fallen off, causing the panel to get loose. I'm very pissed off, now that I'm probably going to have to RMA this thing too, and I've heard horrible things about XFX's RMA. Not only that, but they probably won't take it because it's "physical damage". Yeah right, all I've done with this thing is take it out and put it back in about a dozen times, so it's probably the last time I'm buying anything from XFX.

Well the last two days have been hell for my brother and me. My new PC stuff got here yesterday, and I started building and stuff but I decided to go out and get StarCraft II. I check Future Shop and they say in-stock, and we (my brother too) walk out with the money and some trade in games. Not only does the trade in process take a whole hour, they say "we don't have StarCraft II in stock". So we went home in the severe heat, and continued building the PC.
I got it done today, and I was OCing my CPU to 3.4 from 2.4 and everythings gone well except for 5 hours of work because of some issues and a Windows 7 re-install. CPU at 3.4 idles at 40C, GPU at 48C (It's OCed too), HD 1 at 30C, and HD 2 at 27C so the heat issues are no more, sort of loud though with all fans at max. Pics later. I'm headed out to get StarCraft II tomorrow because the weather is nice tomorrow, so for everyone who has it, I'll see you tomorrow.

Well StarCraft II is coming out on Tuesday, and I've decided to get it, even though I suck at it (I was in the beta). I've was never really into the first StarCraft, so when I played the beta, I didn't know any strategies or anything so I was beaten rather easily. I'm studying online guides for basics of StarCraft II and stuff like that. Probably will play Terran, so I'm looking for good Terran guides as well. Who else is getting StarCraft II? If you guys know any places to get good guides, please tell me. I'll be trading in Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty World at War, because I don't have enough cash.

Well summer is here, and my PC and it's crappy pre-built case, is overheating. Stupid Acer. So I've been planning all day, with NCIX Canada and using their awesome price matching system which I love, it saves SO much money. Here's my plan.
1. Replace crappy case with Antec 300. Believe it or not, this one is bigger than the one I have right now. Price-matched to $49.79 from $55.99.
2. Get three more fans for the additional fan slots in the Antec 300. I chose the Coolermaster R4 120mm. 2000RPM, 19DBA, and an airflow rating of 90CFM. Also, it has a red LED to match my PSU. Price-matched to $4.95 from $8.99 so multiply by 3 = $14.85.
3. Take my Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 stock out of my crappy motherboard which has a locked BIOS so no overclocking... Then put it into this GIGABYTE motherboard. Price-matched to $52.06 from $57.99.
4. Throw out crappy heatsink and replace it with this Coolermaster Hyper 212 one. Price-matched to $22.00 from $29.36.
5. Instead of using the thermal paste that comes with the heatsink, use Arctic Silver 5. Price-matched to $5.41 from $9.99.
6. Overclock CPU to 3.2 or something and then game away without ever having to worry about heat again. At least for this computer.
I saved $36 from the price-matching ($180 to $144) and with taxes and stuff everything will cost about $162. I'll take pictures if I get this done.

Well I've been doing some achievement hunting as of late for my 360 games. I'm doing mainly FIFA 10 achievements, but I've also been doing some cooperative Firefight in Halo ODST. I just got the Well Travelled achievement which was a pain to get because I didn't keep track of which stadiums I've played in, let alone won in. I'm working on the Globetrotter achievement which needs you to win all five major leagues.
Currently in a MM with Barcelona for the Spain part of Globetrotter, and I'm trying to get Always Available which means you need to go through the entire season without simming. 11 games in on World Class, Villa (Manually transferred him along with other major transfers like Silva and Yaya Toure to Man City) and Messi have 11 goals, Ibrahimovic has 10. I'm loving the Mexican-Spanish commentary, even though I can't understand what they're saying. Anything is better than Martin Tyler + Andy Gray at this point for me.
As for other related football matters, Man United are in Toronto tomorrow facing Celtic! I'd go, but I'm busy with grandparents tomorrow.. The new home kit looks passable, but the away kit is just unforgivable. White?! WTF? I'm also concerned that United haven't looked for a long-term replacement for Edwin van der Sar, and a creative midfielder. I'm not really worried with Rooney's strike partner because I have faith in Berbatov. I believe United have had a 29m pound bid for Wesley Sneijder rejected by Inter, or that might just be rumour.
And to end things... Fletcher killing Lucio.

Lol, this is seriously pathetic on GameSpot moderating.. I was posting in the FIFA 2010 South Africa thread in OT and I said the thread got over 6000 posts, and apparently it's disruptive. WTF? How is it disrupting anything? Anyways, I don't feel like either Spain or Holland deserved to win today. Absolutely pathetic, both teams were crowding the ref whenever possible, diving, and it was an absolute disgrace for a Final.
I swear, everytime in an FPS when they autobalance the teams, they don't autobalance the good players, they autobalance the average ones. Why? This is useless and I'm sick and tired of it. It seems to happen all the time in TF2, BC2, etc. In fact, I was playing TF2 yesterday, and these guys on the other team who were clearly dominating kept on telling us how much we sucked, and denied the teams being unbalanced...
Also, I'm looking for suggestions for some Oblivion mods. I bought this game a while back, the Deluxe Game of the Year, but I've found it painfully boring, really don't know why vanilla Oblivion got such high reviews. Now I know that this game has fantastic mods, but what are some good ones? Looking at the Oscuro Overhaul but what else is there?

I've been absolutely addicted to Dragon Age for the last week. I bought it back in December but never really got to finish it because of frustration in some parts. I haven't been PC gaming long enough to have played Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights and the older RPGs (Might have to find a way to buy these games soon). My character was a warrior back then, and it was frustrating as hell, but I read some guides and got on with it. Made a new character as a mage, and so I've loved every minute of it. Finished the game in about 38 hours, and I still feel like I've rushed a bit. Archdemon fight was tough because I ran out of poultices and lyrium potions. I'll probably make another character and give it another go. BioWare games really suck me in though. I played nothing but Mass Effect 2 until I finished it, same with this after giving it another go.

Alistair finishes off a High Dragon.
I might get back to reviewing games soon, so I'll probably review Dragon Age soon. I loved killing High Dragons and I wished there were more. That's the High Dragon from the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest. Cone of Cold FTW. I had a few gripes with the game though, I hated how your companions would run into your mass AoE spells like Inferno, Blizzard, etc. It's annoying having to keep them out. Is there a way in the tactics to stop this? Also, even when a rogue detects traps, everyone, including the rogue, still run into them.
Besides that, I've played some of The Witcher and I find it slightly boring, but I'm only on the first part. I've been hearing it gets better, so I'll keep playing. I've burnt out on Bad Company 2 and I also got an invite to the Medal of Honor beta. It's okay, but too generic to warrant a purchase. Granted, it's in a beta stage, but the game is nothing special. Have a happy summer guys!

So I was playing FIFA 10 yesterday with a friend, I was using Bayern Munich and he was using Argentina. I used Robben and some skill moves to breakthrough his midfield and most of the defence, but a defender took him down with a tackle from behind. So the ball goes loose and Miroslav Klose gets it and tries a chip shot over the Argentine keeper who is off his line.
The keeper gets a fist to it, but the ball's path will mean it'll fall into the net. I was already celebrating when the Argentine defender, Javier Zanetti (Who should've been on the World Cup squad) clears it off! It just landed and was about to bounce in, but he cleared it! I was like, WTF! Instant replay showed that the ball was so close to crossing the line, but it didn't. Here's a couple of screenshot thanks to my Hauppauge HD PVR and Sony Vegas.

Argentine defender Zanetti = Blue and White.
Bayern striker Klose = Red.
Argentine keeper = Black at the edge on the right.
Hey FIFA, are those cameras behind the net? Would make awesome goal line technology right?

So close.

Well as you expect, the English tabloids are acting up after the loss yesterday, and here's some pictures courtesy of Yahoo.

Lame pun is lame. Frank has also never scored at a World Cup (not counting the one that should've been allowed). 37 World Cup shots and nothing to show for it.

Both from The Sun.

Also from The Sun.

Mullered? Really? This is from the Daily Star.

This one was from the Daily Mail I think. There are a few others, but they are pretty much the same to what is above. I don't know why the English tabloids haven't used the "England in Roo-ins" one.

That's right, England were absolutely destroyed by Germany. Hit on the break and countered perfectly every time from the Germans, and they were fantastic. I hope this is a lesson to Capello, the FA, and all of England because Germany did it right with their youth programs to create players like Ozil, Muller, Neuer, etc. At least now we can re-build for the next World Cup and break the Terry, Gerrard, Lampard, trap.
What the hell was Matthew Upson starting for? None of our defenders played well and were being beat always by the speed and trickery of the Germans, not to mention their superb passing. Milner being subbed off was a mistake, he was playing well. But in general, England were outplayed. We need to build our youth system, and hopefully it will pay off for next time, and maybe even Euro 2012.
And to end, FIFA, YOU NEED VIDEO REPLAY. If not, pay a guy to sit behind the net to see if the ball crosses the line or not! Maybe he can also serve as a ref who looks for diving in the box, and handballs. I don't want to think about what kind of match it would've been if Lampard's goal was counted, because to be honest, we would've been beat anyways.
