With all this politcal talk about games and the violence in them, well had me thinking.  I remember playing on the NES and there was violence, but not like in todays games.  Sure you would kill the Koopas and smash the mushroom guys in Super Mario Bros, but there was no blood, no gore.  Its those types of games that got me playing more and more.  Now since Im older I can distinguish fact from fanatasy.  Not like the younger 15 yr olds who began playing Gears of War or God of War or any of those games.  I enjoyed those games sure, but Im not going to go do those things I play because... its fantasy! I would have no problem if games were not gory for the sake of being... gory.  What do you guys think?

I could make the sacrifice...There aren't many games I play for violence or grit...I don't know why, but I just never really can get into them. This includes GOW, Mortal Kombat, Military Shooters, Horror....

I may be in the minority with this, but I still play games for the flashy colors and make believe positive stories. I guess it is easier for me to get "lost" or "connect" in those kinds of games...Like the old school mario, or tekken, or arcade racer.
