Yoooo!! Howz everyone doing?

I've been playing games who week and man it feels great to get my hands on games again after such a long time. Btw I'm going back for the university tomorrow. Will be back next week though so no worries.

Btw before going I thought I would like to share my thoughts on the upcoming PS4 and hear your thoughts as well.

So first of all, the Sony conference aired here at mid night time that night. About 4 AM and I watched it till 5:30 AM and spolied my sleep. Now I will start by saying that it was a total waste of time that night. I'm not impressed by Sony's new upcoming console at all. Well maybe not at all but mostly not.

First why they have to go and realease the PS4 so soon? I was thinking they gonna release it next year at the most early but man they are such a fools. In their announcement, there was nothing interesting at all. The only good feature I thought which was good was that we can play games while downloading. I know that it has inhanced CPU power and RAM but I don't think there was anything amazing in that the PS3 couldn't handle. Unreal Engine 4 is good but it can be supported in PS3 easily and there is only little difference in graphics compared to PS3. There is nothing so much amazing about it. I was hoping for something big like when PS3 was announced back in 2006. I mean it had such good graphics compared to PS2 and we really had something different.

Also what's with the stupid controller?? They showed it like it was something so amazing! And it had a SHARE BUTTON! Wow... that's an amazing feature... -___-... Really Sony? All we needed was a share button right.

I think Sony isn't prepared at all for the PS4 and they rushing things. I'm sorry to say but they only trying to earn money now. I'm sure it's gonna cost about $400 for sure when it comes out and that's when I'm turning against Sony. I'm hoping that Microsoft doesn't makes the same mistake. Though I was a more Sony fan but they've disappointed me.

Now the other thing. I think that the Wii U will own the market again. Wii U might be having a bad time for now but in a year I'm sure it will come on the top just like the Wii back when it came out. It's gonna sell more and the real reason is Nintendo gonna cut it's price when the PS4 comes out and that's their ace in the hole. lol we still have Microsoft to compete as well so lets see what they bring us.

Btw I still think that the PS3 was great enough for now. They shouldn't just complete a consoles life time by counting years and just inhancing a little graphics and bring the other thing. Well that's what I think. I'm sure many of you would be excited for the PS4 and will be impressed by it so tell me your thoughts on this. Do you agree with me or do you think it's amazing?

Until next time takecare and byez everyone.

I actually thought it was pretty good. Dunno why you said they're releasing it a bit too early, I felt that this gen is kind of dragging on a bit but that's just me. The controller doesn't look bad (least it didn't have those awful triggers like the Dualshock 3 >.>) plus I was surprised and rather pleased they show some new IPs during the stream like Knack and The Witness along with some sequels (looking forward to the new inFamous). I heard the PS4 is much more developer friendly compared to the PS3. Don't ask me how, it's something to do with the whole thing about techs and whatnot. I'm not getting it anytime soon (maybe after a few years) but it's looking rather promising so far. :)

@koolkat14 The problem is that they will put pS3 in a corner and focus more on PS4 and when PS3 was doing great for now what was the reason for lunching the console this year? Well in any case I might get impressed by it in E3 if they have something good to offer by then.

the ps4 conference was okay, i'll be buying one day one despite not being able to play ps3 games besides i'll be keeping my ps3 so i'll still be able to play them anyway but maybe there will be more interesting stuff at E3.

@Ginger-Snapper Same thing here. Will see what they bring in E3z

I think 2013 is fine time to release a new console. Really don't get why people are complaining "why so soon?!" except maybe people finally recently went out and bought the thing.

It's a bit like buying the new Ipad next summer then being upset that Apple came out with the next iteration. except unlike 1 year gap between model upgrades, it's been 7 years.

At 400 USD, that's a fine launch price i think. it's upgraded gpu, cpu and ram, much more faster and efficient background processors.

graphics alone aren't enough to persuade people to buy new consoles, this current gen reached a certain peak that most average joe/jane is perfectly fine with those graphics, the graphic-whores on PC will constantly want to get the max, but were pretty much near photo-realism. PS4 is just another iteration closer but the jump isn't immediately noticeable.

I was actually fairly happy with it, the one big negative is no backwards compatibility, but i was bracing for that possiblity for quite a long time. and given that the Cell architecture turned out to be - in the long run - a dud, and the new console would be more developer friendly made of off-the-shelf pc components the likelihood of backwards compatibilty was unlikely. Now the incentive for Sony to get the PSN library backward compatible is very great indeed with it's huge library,

As for the sharing and viewing, and the streaming of games, really all nice things, and i may actually use them with my friends. This seems like the proper approach to social gaming for the 'core' gamer out there. and given that the Vita has Party-chat, i expect PS4 will also.

So yeah, i'll hold onto my PS3 of course, with my over 100 games on it, but PS4 is a good upgrade. not much in the way of gimmicks that you are being forced to use. and at the rumored $400 dollar price point, count me in. Killzone : Shadow Fall, inFamous : Second Son, Watch_Dogs, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Destiny, and The Witness all got my attention - never mind what developers will be revealing at GDC, E3, Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show before the release of the new console. I could say i'm excited for Final Fantasy for PS4 but given how awful Square Enix in making anything within a reasonable amount of time i'm not bothering.

i'm still curious as to what Microsoft has up it's sleeve. but given how i barely touch my 360, i can't say i'm like that geared for it. This upcoming gen i'm likely to go PS4, PC, WiiU, plus whatever handheld i have interest in playing on (most likely Vita and my Ipad)

@SaudiFury Your saying all this according to your own perspectives. When being such a big company you should think about your buyers or players out there in the world as well. Not many people can afford these things still they want to buy them and play games. Not many people have so much fast internet to stream games online as well so it doesn't do any good to them. All in all I don't have have any of these problems neither do I care what they do because if Microsoft does a better job then Sony will simply lose a fan here. I just think about including everyone not just me.

@FojMohsin

true, i am saying it to my own perspective, just as you are to your own. The streaming is an issue for those who don't have internet (or strong internet), and you are right that no backward compatible could stop people.

Also - no spite at all - no one asked me what i wanted out of the PS4 :P. if they did backward compatibility would of totally been a done deal man :P .

But what i saw, i am excited about, and the rumored $400 dollars sounds like a fair price to ask for on launch day.

@SaudiFury lol bro $400 price is for US. Not other countries. In other countries the prices are different at lunch and it's always more then the launch price in US. Well I'm not saying I don't like PS4 at all. I'll wait and see what they bring up ahead in future. Maybe they will bring something that would really impress me.

@SaudiFuryThe lack of bc, and this talk of "streaming" for PS3 games, was the nail in the coffin for me. I loved the PS1 and PS2. I'd been a console gamer most of my life (since I was 14, am now 37), but became a PC gamer for 3-4 years ago. The 8th gen is sizing up to keep me that way.

i actually didn't watch the conference, but i've been hearing lots about the PS4. for one thing there's no backwards compatability which is disappointing, and the price certainly doesn't help. from the sound of things, it does seem a bit rushed, and i agree, why does there need to be a share button? :P there's nothing that'll make me absolutely want one anytime soon, so i'll just hold off for now

@megamannt123 The share button is to share our game play videos with others on social sites which is kinda stupid. I mean this feature doesn't need a button on the controller as it's not that special. I sure don't want any as well. Any who knows I might never buy a PS4 if Microsoft does a better job.

im too lazy to comment there are a few things i disagree on like the unreal engine 4 part the engine is designed to be used on a high end PC and next gen console and PS3 has enough power for atleast a few more years. anyways nice blog :)

@berto64 Hmm maybe your right but I'm sure unreal engine 4 can be fixed in PS3 as Froze Byte 2 did and its a very heavy engine.
