Poor video games. They are getting blamed for anything and everything these days. The dummies over in D.C and the media are always saying all sorts of bulls#!t like "Video games influenced the shooter to kill a bunch of people" like the recent shooting in Connecticut where a bunch of people lost their lives, most of which were CHILDREN!!! These politicans need to STFU. They know absolutely nothing about the industry and have no idea of what they are talking about. The parents are to blame for this as well, as they are buying their kids violent games and they are not reading the rating system or thinking about what they are doing. Then after a shooting happened, the parents blame the games because they think "it will turn our kids into mindless killers" yet they bought it for them. The parents should instead find out what games have which ESRB rating (E, E10, T, M) and make a choice. They should be buying games that are E or E10 rated for their kids instead or just read the freakin rating system. My parents started to let me watch R rated movies when I was 10 because they decided that I was old enough to tell the difference between fantasy and reality. Parents need to make that decision as well, because if they see a T or M rated game, they should make the decision of whether their kids are ready to handle such mature content, and if they can tell the difference between fantasy and reality. If not, then don't buy it, and if they see their kids playing these games, they should take it away from them until they are ready to tell the difference between fantasy and reality. When the shooting in Connecticut happened, video games (of course) were blamed by politicans and the media. I hate it when this happens, and it makes me mad because it makes no sense. People have been messed up in killing since the dawn of man. This is nothing new! People should be held accountable for their own actions. I would not want to imagine myself as a parent that lived near where the shooting happened and hear the news from the stupid politicians and the media thinking that this was the reason why it happened. I wouldn't want to hear on the worst day of my life that my kid died because of a video game because, you would pi$$ me off so much that I would have a heart attack from pure unadulterated rage. I play these games too and I'm not a rare case. I know better because I have COMMON SENSE, like the rest of you do. For all those kids that got killed in Connecticut, I am very sorry, and I feel sorry for all the families affected by this too. It's just that hearing news like this after a shooting like this has happened just makes me very angry. right now, the politicians in D.C. are blaming these games for this and they just want to ban them. I want you to speak up to this, and let me know of what you think of this. I say we give these politicans hell any way possible.
