All About Getbacktogaming
Here's what Hale had to say about the reception to Bioware's Mass Effect 3 ending.
"I have two feelings about the ending. One is that endings are hard if you?re a writer. Endings are really hard to do and it?s hard to do an ending where it?s sort of collaborative with thousands and thousands of people, and to satisfy all those people is impossible. I have an enormous amount of respect for the writers on Mass Effect and they did everything they could at that moment, and I also love that Bioware is listening to everybody and going back through to create some more DLC for everyone to play.
I have a very strong opinion about how people express their opinion about it. There?s some people out there who got really crappy, and said really gnarly things to people over the internet. That I don?t agree with. You can be passionate, but don?t get personal, don?t get nasty. Be respectful, honourable and do it right. Say what you have to say, and say it all day long, but say it where you don?t look like a jerk."Jennifer Hale, voice actress for female Shepard in the Mass Effect trilogy.
Yup, we Mass Effect fans are indeed passionate, thanks for respecting that, thanks for the great work on voice acting and thank you Bioware for an extended cut, can't wait to see what it'll look like!!!
Who's in a better position than Sony to promote 3D? They are pioneers when it comes to making 3D accessible through gaming, video, Blu-Ray format, TV systems for home use... etc. Ridiculous amounts of lobbying if you ask me, but that's the price of innovation, and cheers to Sony for making the effort!
The year 2011 had its share of great 3D titles of which two I was looking forward to playing; Uncharted 3 and Killzone 3.
E3 2012 is just over and I realize there are 3 Sony exclusive titles I REALLY wanted to play:
- Beyond: Two Souls
- God of War: Ascension
- The Last of Us
...but something feels wrong...
NONE OF THOSE GAMES IS PLANNED TO BE REALISED IN 3D! (see the respective playstation.com preorder pages : http://us.playstation.com/games-and-media/games/the-last-of-us-ps3.html, http://us.playstation.com/games-and-media/games/beyond-two-souls-ps3.html, http://us.playstation.com/games-and-media/games/god-of-war-ascension-ps3.html)
Sony, what happened to your commitment to 3D games? Of your 3 biggest titles announced at E3, none of them are going to be in 3D? Did you give up on the technology already?
Anybody out there who owns a PS3 to play 3D titles disappointed by this news?
Personally, I'm not so sure I want a PS3 anymore... PLEASE SONY MAKE THIS RIGHT!
24Mar 12I can't really describe Mass Effect 3's final scene as an "ending". Nothing ends, or if anything does we can't even tell for sure! Indoctrination? Or not! What are we supposed to conclude? Who is dead who's alive? Which parts were real if any? Were those dream sequences? Are we actually supposed to let our respective imaginations decide what the hell ACTUALLY happened! Don't change anything, just explain it a little. If that's the way they wanted it, fine. On the other hand after spending 120 + hours playing this amazing sci-fi trilogy I would like to have a tiny bit of a clue as to what the hell is that last scene supposed to mean! Sure Bioware, maybe I'm an idiot for not being able to figure out your art but can someone who helped design that ending give us a few clues? Why does it have to be abstract all of a sudden? It feels like Steven Spielberg is writting the whole script for Saving Private Ryan and then Tim Burton walks in the room, grabs the scenario, and fills up the last page. I'm confused!
A little help here please Bioware!
