Level up Abobo
Ive finally reached level 40 on Gamespot and I am now the rank of Abobo. This character actually brings back a lot of memories for me since I loved the double dragon series as a kid and its one of the things that I think of most when I reminisce about the 80's. Oh Abobo it was so much fun to push you out of a helicopter in Double Dragon 2.

Introduction
Now on the the main event. For this list I have decided to share some of my favorite anime fights (if it were manga there would be more), their not numbered since I cant really see naming any certain one as my favorite. Ill talk a bit about the fight but under them i will have links to the actual battles themselves so you guys can check them out. Some vids dont contain the full fight but enough to get the idea of what its like.
One other thing is that you wouldnt believe how hard it was to find some of this footage, I had no idea how many bad AMV's are on youtube until I started looking for something in its original form. Man why do so many people think we wanna hear their bad taste in music when trying to see these battles? It kinda drove me up a wall, and I almost didn't write this blog because I couldn't find good footage, but i managed to scrounge together the fight scenes for this one so I hope you guys enjoy it since i put some time into this one so watch all the vids you can when you have a chance.
I apologize if some of the videos dont work by the time you read this, youtube is very fickle when it comes to this.

My Top 11 Favorite Anime Fights
(in no particular order)
(And please no moaning about choices, these are my personal favorites. So dont expect something super obscure, you should expect plenty of dragonball by now

Gundam 00: 00 Raiser Vs Reborns Gundam
00 Raiser vs Reborns Gundam Video
This battle takes place at the end of season 2 and is the climactic clash between Setsuna F. Seiei pilot of the 00 Raiser, and Ribbons Almark the main villain and pilot of the Reborns gundam. While not the final final battle I think its just awesome, lasers everywhere, intense speed and some of the coolest scenes in the entire series. The other gundam meisters shine a bit too in this battle, but my favorite part is that it ends with both suits being totally trashed and exploding.

Dragonball: Kid Goku vs Tenshinhan (Tien)
Good old dragonball, when things were much simpler and fights weren't done in blurs that cant be seen. This is probably the highlight of the series for me, so many different things happen during this battle and its a roller coaster ride the whole way through.Tien at this point in the series was pretty much an all around jerk, but he still had his honor as a fighter and eventually came around after this fight. From Tri-beam to tiens 4 armed technique it amps up continually and never lets up until the very end.

Naruto Shippuden: Sasuke/Taka vs Killer Bee
After defeating his brother Itachi sasukeis ordered by Madara Uchiha to retrieve the 8 tailed host known was killer bee. This proves to be much harder than he and his team taka originally thought, they end up paying for their overconfidence in this fight. Sasuke repeatedly takes serious damage and is aided by his group, who finally manage to pull off a win (or so they think).

One Piece: Monkey D Luffy vs Rob Lucci
Hands down the fan favorite fight of this series we have luffy vs lucci of cypher pol #9. Lucci who is very arrogant stands in luffy's way while hes trying to save nico robin from the government, even though he is outmatched in every sense of the word. All the stops are pulled out in this fight and it has some of the best animation in the series.It all ends on the most ferocious flurry of punches I've seen plowed into a character in ananime.

Dragonball Z: Gohan vs Cell Jr's

This is the single moment that solidified Gohan as my favorite Dragonball character, sure i was warming up to him as a character long before but this sealed the deal. After being enraged by cell gohan unleashes all his fury on cells mini doubles in stunning fasion. No messing around, no gloating all business, he had become the strongest character in the series and handed out justice like no other. I almost though about putting the fight with cell on this list but i felt it had gone on for a long time and there wasnt any single moment that stood out other than the final kamehameha.

Naruto: Naruto Vs Sasuke (Valley of the End)

Of all the fights I had to find on youtube this one certainly wasnt the hardest to find, but then again it was since finding it in its original form was a pain. First and foremost I love this fight, its the most visual battle in the entire series and rightly so since it ends the first part of the series. Friends fighting for their lives in an all out battle is nothing new but I felt it was done really well here and as the battle goes on you start to feel the characters bond and how their destined battle impacts them.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Edward Vs Greed
(you'll definitely want to turn off the comment quotes on this video, sorry but its the best i could find)
This IMO is the most dramatic fight in the series and greed is probably the best villain from it as well. He wants everything this world has to offer (and rightly so) but instead is double crossed and delt a fatal hand by his creator. Greed ends up helping ed in the end and turns out to actually be a sympathetic character after the battle. Although i must admit i laughed a bit at first when he met his demise since he gets rigamortis right after he dies.

Dragonball Z:Goku Vs Vegeta

Probably the most famous fight in all of anime and manga this is the fight that made everyone a dragonball z fan. It has ups and downs and everything in between, with both character giving it there all. Its a visual feast and I cant really do it justice in this description so you'll have to see for yourself.

Street Fighter 2 The Animated Movie: Ryu vs Sagat
(this ones been edited so its a bit broken up)
What a way to start a movie eh? In fact id go as far as to say this is the best video game movie ever, although with its competition that isnt saying much. But regardless of that this movie is fantastic and one i can recommend to everyone, this battle sets the tone quite nicely as well. It shows ryu and sagats first fight in street fighter 1 and how sagat gained his scar, and what better place for it to be at than a grass field during a thunder storm.

Naruto Shippuden: Sage Naruto vs Pain
(this is a long one and the full fight so dont feel obligated to watch all of it, the beginning and last videos will suffice)
This could very well be the culminating moment for naruto as a character, up until this point he had been a no talent ninja who had always been uncool in almost everyway. But this fight proved that he was more than that and that he had overcome a great deal to save his friends and to achieve his goal of becoming a powerful ninja.

Dragonball Z: Gohan vs Buu

If this list had a number one id have to say this would be it. As my favorite moment in all of dragonball z this is where Gohan comes full circle as a character and warrior. Its kinda cool to see a character go from a pampered infant to a confident warrior over the course of the series but this moment illustrates it beautifully. Coming back from getting his inner ability released by elder kai gohan has reached a level far beyond anything in the series (much higher than SS3 if you can believe it), he appears in goku like fashion to help his friends at the last moment. From here on he mangles buu in every which way, just the sound of his punches can be felt by the view and seeing the character with this much confidence and power is something i enjoyed greatly, and Gohan utters the greatest line in the series to buu which would be "fight you? No I wanna kill you".

And that about does it for my countdown, I hope you enjoyed it even if you dont like shonen series, and im hoping it wasn't too long and drug out like most of the fights . Stay tuned for my next blog which will be my year end look back/Review of games.

It sure would've been great If Tien did that move in DBZ, or a variation of it that would suit a fast and intense fight.
The best Sasuke fight has yet to come: final battle between him and Naruto when it gets to that point in the Shippuden manga. They might fight to the death or something. Just the thought keeps me hotly anticipated, hopefully it'll happen next year sometime. ^_^

Yup plenty of naruto and DBZ were to be expected :P
Personally, I have always liked Kid Buu vs. Goku and Vegeta at the end of DBZ, despite how much I complain about the Buu Saga in general. I like the fight though because I always thought it was coriragraphied really well. Another good fight was Android 17 vs Piccolo. Good list thought, despite how most of the fights where from DBZ and Naruto xD.
Congrats on leveling up. The Naruto/Sasuke is one of my favorites as well for fanservice...I mean it was a good fight. :P

Some great picks of favorite fight scenes, the fight between Goku and Tien was pretty crazy I haven't watch that part, also oh I see I though the Volley Ball Technique was a move they made up for Tien in the game.

Oh nice list gots to love that fight between Gohan and Cell in general. I think it was my favourite of the series.
@funsohng: yea from the sound of it most people dont watch that many anymore, I havent seen hellsing so i know nothing of its fights but afro samurai had its fair share, I cant remember any that really stuck out to me though. @Doomguard3: I would have if I had seen much more but Id say the anime ive seen is somewhat limited. My list consisted of my personal favorites and im not gonna list stuff ive never seen.
@stephanime: haha bubble gum, glad you enjoyed those fights as much as i did. @Hanzoadam: Well yea of course it is, I did choose my personal favorites and thats my favorite series, Im not gonna list something im not familiar with.
I don't watch action animes so I wouldn't know, but I would include HELLSING ultimate and Afro Samurai.
So that's where the name Abobo came from. I was starting to think it was a bubble gum candy of some sort.:lol: Wow most of those fights I would agree are epic. I especially loved the Rob Lucci vs Luffy and Edward vs. Greed one. The Naruto ones are alright and I like some of the DBZ fights as well. I still love the DB fights more.:P
@nunchuk28: Thanks, yea i agree the greed fight is certainly the most moving of all these fights. I liked the freeza goku fight but it dragging on so long kinda soured it a bit for me so that is part of why i didnt include it, but goku going super saiyan was amazing. @PHILRYABKIN: Indeed, the gohan and buu one is probably my favorite of the bunch. @kingkoncor: Nah that never happened I, you were told wrong, but i wont spoil anymore than that. @N-REAL: I havent really seen too much of the saint seiya series, otherwise i probably would have had a few on there. @Kid_Black_Star: Yea it was, the animator for that episode should be proud of how he brought that scene to life it was great. @oceanbacon: Thank You :D

congrats on the level up gohan and thats a pretty nice list. I'll have to say that the figth with greed is probably the most emotional of the list. I'm surprised Frieza figth didn't make it to your list though
Congrats on Level 40 :D I've just reach Level 18 today... Flicky! :P For the fights, I really wana watch Naruto and DB now! I'm watching Bleach, and by far I can only remember Ichigo vs Zaraki as a verrrry good fight! Seems DB and Naruto are a must now for me :P

I like Piccolo Vs Goku better. When I watch Dragonball for the first time after seeing Z first I had no idea goku was going to come back as a teenager, it was awesome. Luffy in Gear one or two is amazing. When he laid out Bluno I was blown away. It was as awesome as seeing super saiyan for the first time. And of course Naruto Vs Sasuke is a classic.
Yes! The Gundam battles and Dragon Ball Z battles are epic. ;)
@TheFallenDemon: yea im kind of a sucker for those series, and the vids were the easiest to find and ones ive always enjoyed regardless if they are cliche or not.
Congrats on the level up Gohan and you've definitely got some good taste with all of those fights, they're probably some of the most epic I've seen too, I'm glad you picked some more well known ones. ;)
