I was supposed to do an audio log, but..
Mic Suxalot wouldn't cooperate.

I should let you guys know I'm alive and somewhat well before I fall asleep -- it's 3 a.m. and I've got some really smooth jazz playing in the background. I'm gonna keep this post short and simple.
Been kinda busy, what with my folks getting a puppy and all. Well, they got it a while ago, and it obviously needs a lot of attention. Also, a bunch of guitar practice and studying for exams.
Lots and lots of Magic: The Gathering.
Some manga; Vagabond volumes 1-12 in three damn days, Azumanga Daioh in its entirety, Yotsuba&! 9, Sgt. Frog vol. 21 (the last one according to many sources, but there are clear signs of the series continuing) and Detroit Metal City 9. Awesome stuff.
Video games every now and then! Got Shadows of the Damned, which is a SWEET game. The boss battles can get extremely frustrating, but the game is a must-have for any Suda fan. I've also been playing Portal 2, which rawks, and am thinking of finally starting L.A. Noire. Leaving all of my other unfinished games out of the equation until those three are finished. Well, all of 'em except for inFamous (the first one) and Star Ocean, which I really should finish since I'm so close to the end in both.

I took a break from fighting games, but I really need to get back to them before I get too rusty. Mainly BlazBlue, Tekken and Street Fighter. Kinda gave up on MvC3, now I play it just for fun.
Here's the dawg, now three months old, and my two fat cats. Just for your amusement.

Yeah, the dog looks like a furry pig.
That's all for now! Just wanted to let you know that I'm still around (well, more like I returned, partially thanks to my buddy Vexx creating me a birthday thread I didn't have the heart to ignore
), checking your blogs and rating stuff. So, how are ya folks?

My Heart.. Captivated.
No, I haven't found true love.. Sniff. However, I shall not give up!

..Right.
So, Capcom's Captivate 2011 event. Rockin'.Asura's Wrath is just as epic and promising as last time, but with a hint of oraoraora mixed in. Good stuff.
Dragon's Dogma, as rumored since late 2010, was finally officially announced! Looks okay, but I'm not building hype for it just yet. We'll see -- it might turn out good. Maybe a bit of Lost Planet mixed with a tiny amount of Demon's Souls? I dunno.
Really relieved to see that Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition is coming to consoles after all! I'll gladly throw my money at Capcom for the new characters, balance tweaks (YES for Abel going down a bit and Dudley getting new EX moves) and mode improvements. I'll have a good reason to pick the game up again.
But the most important game of the event is obvious. Street Fighter x Tekken, no doubt about it. Now, I was hyped enough before this event, but all this newly released media and info just got my anticipation through the roof.
Seeing Bob was a HUGE plus for me, and it seems like he's got a good portion of his Tekken combos intact. I'm not a fan of Marduk in Tekken games, but this time around he looks fantastic -- he's like BlazBlue's Tager and King of Fighters' Maxima put into one character, and it looks like he's not that similar to his 3D version. Definitely going to try him out. Now, to wait for Lars, Dhalsim and Rufus to be announced, as well as my dream matchup:
Even better, I'd like to see them fight in the same team.8) Who needs Balrog? ..Other than a ton of tournament players due to the fact that he's at the very top of the tier lists.. Anyways, Ono said that the roster is going to be huge, and I'm gonna take him up on that. Then again, he's trolled us before, which is also why I "made" the following image.

Be careful, or he just might get ya.
Other than that, it's been the usual for me. I've mostly been playing Demon's Souls, but I also started two MMORGPs on a whim: Spiral Knights, published by SEGA, and Forsaken World. Both are very recent and still not quite complete. Spiral Knights seems really shallow so far (left click to move, right to attack, no skills whatsoever), while Forsaken World is more of a WoW clone. I might also get back into MapleStory, with all these recent improvements -- I haven't played that game for 5 years now.

..Guess that's what boredom does to you. Keeping that in mind, I might actually apply for a few part-time jobs. I mean, my financial standing's fine and all, but I don't think I can handle the boredom for much longer..

Yeah, I think that's it for now. Just a little Captivate hype and all. Further impressions on the MMORPGs later. Possibly. If I don't get utterly bored of them.

Pro Tip: Beware of Giant Bats!
No matter what game you're playing, that'll probably come in handy. Then again, usually giant bats are easily beatable. Unless you're playing Resident Evil 5 with an AI Sheva.

Acceptance is pretty cool. A lot of stuff has been accepted recently by various parties, and that feels kind of awesome.
Like, if the past month of my life were an episode of Sesame Street, the word of the day would totally be acceptance. The shape (or color, depending on your preferences) of the day remains to be seen, but that's perfectly fine by me. I accept that, y'know. And it's all good.Phew, that's it for the late-night philosophy session. All in all, other than the occasional boredom, my life's good and relatively stress-free. Minor social link levelups aside, it's all pretty much the same as it was at the time of my last blog post. Games, books, comics, movies. I don't really watch a lot of anime, but a couple of series have kept me amused recently: Gintama, Yakitate Japan and Star Driver. The first two are cIassics that most of you have definitely heard of (so funny, yet surprisingly deep -- I can't believe I haven't gotten around to watch these series sooner), Star Driver is quite new. The final episode aired this weekend, and well, it was pretty much the most epic episode of any series ever. You should definitely watch it.. That is, unless you like clear plots and hate pretty boys and giant robots. It had.. some holes in the plot, but it was one of the best "stupider" (as in total opposite of Death Note) series I've seen. I haven't seen many, but enough to pick favorites. Kiraboshi, y'all.

Read Bryan Lee O'Malley's Lost at Sea. Pretty... pointless in terms of the story, but it was filled with.. points regarding.. stuff.
Definitely not the kind of stuff you'd expect from the creator of Scott Pilgrim. Look it up, but be prepared for something else than comedy, fighting and video game references. Finished a few books of Finnish origin, very enjoyable and amusing. Also started Teacher Man by Frank McCourt. Good stuff.I know what you're thinking; "You can't possibly fit all this into that time!" Oh, I can, and that's not even all. I've also obviously been playing games. I've mostly been busy with Dragon Age: Origins. I've played it about 25 hours now, which is crazy when you take into account that I started playing it about a week ago. I'm so addicted to sidequests, I can't stop doing them!!
I keep thinking that one more before going to sleep won't hurt, and before I know it, I'm completing the 7th one of the night. Hnnnng. What's more, I've played 25 hours of Hard Corps: Uprising, which came out on the European PSN Store about what, 2 weeks ago? To those of you who don't know, it's a prequel to Contra: Hard Corps. It's made by Arc System Works, also behind Guilty Gear, BlazBlue and Arcana Heart. It even features the same music composer and character designer, Daisuke Ishiwatari!
Can't find a bigger fan of his on all of GS than me, I tell ya. So, I've been getting pretty mad scores. Always loved run-and-gun games like Metal Slug, and this one is all that to the 9th power.
Sure, it's got some flaws, but it's this gen's best RnG for me. Also, been playing a bit of Yakuza 3 -- gotta get it over and done with before moving onto Yakuza 4.Also been getting back into Marvel vs Capcom 3 and BlazBlue -- still accepting challenges, although I'm a bit rusty.

That's all for now, I think. What a wall of text, now that I look at it..
Tl;dr version: played a truckload of games, watched some anime, read a few books, went all sentimental for a sec. See ya!
