All About Hellmonkey012
Be Cool and Track Me.
I just came on here today for giggles. Can't believe I even still remembered my username and password. It's been over a year since my last post. I remember this site used to be my favorite thing, I would spend all day on it. Well, enough reminiscing.
Also, I'm going to see the Dark Knight Rises tonight at midnight. F-YEAAAHH!
Summer always has the best movie releases. Every year people say "this summer is the best summer for movies ever!!" Yeah, we're all saying again this year. that's because we judge movies on their trailers (which are always great, duh!!). So these are my most anticipated movies for the summer of 2011. Their trailers look amazing. Even though 80% of them will suck in the end, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt for now. here they are:
8. Troll Hunter
Seems kinda cheesy. But I like fantasy movies. I'm also skeptical of the 1st person point of view. I'll have to wait and see.
7. Kung Fu Panda 2
You know you loved the first one. And since Cars 2 is coming out, it looks like this will be the best animated picture of the year (it might win the Oscar).
6. Apollo 18
I like space. What can I say.
5. 30 Minutes or Less
The whole concept of this movie is funny. but the main reason that I want to see this movie is because Aziz Ansari is one of the funniest commedians in the business and he doesn't get any respect. Will Ferell, Seth Rogen, and Zach Galifinakis are all praised and I think finally people will see Aziz's talent.
4. Don't be Afraid of the Dark
This reminds me of a Pan Labrynth-esque movie (Pan's was one of my all time fave movies). It seems unique, interesting, and scary all at the same time.
3. Rise of Planet of the Apes
I cannot explain why this movie trailer seems scary. I always hated monkeys. They are so similar to us, but they have a brute force. I think they might scare me because they are pure beasts on the inside, yet they are so close to us. The whole concept scares me. Although I hate James Franco, I am slowly gaining respect for him. He was great in Pineapple Express and even though i think he is a D bag, I have to admit he is a fantastic actor.
2. Captain America
There hasn't been a good super heroe movie in a while. My fave super hero is the Green lantern. But I know that the movie will be whored out (i mean they casted Ryan Reynolds).
1. Super 8
I didn't want to be stereotypical by picking this as #1 but I can't help it. I picked it not because it's secrecy and special effects and action. I picked it because it reminds me of E.T. And I feel that not enough childhood movies are being made like back in the 80's and I think this could be one (probly not though). Also, it's being filmed in my hometown.
With the release of the 3DS, the regular DS will eventually cease to breathe life. The way I see it, Pokemon Black and White are the death od the DS. It's like Nintendo is saying "It's been a good 6 years. Let's try to give it one last big hurrah to end it." Which isnt a bad thing, this way by having pokemon be our last DS memory(which is always a good one), we will have a strong, positive, sentimental impression of the DS left in our brains. And the DS deserves a big finally, it really does; it's been a strong console and it's provided us with a good 6 years. Now, I don't think that the DS lived up to the Gameboy, but I don't think it's fair of us to expect it to. The Gameboy was phenomenal and once in a lifetime. I do, however, think that we will look back on our time with our DS's just like we look back on the GameBoy today.
So, here's a cheer to the Nintendo DS. You will always be in our hearts.
Thanks for the fun times
