Dragon Age
So I've been playing Dragon Age since it came out, and I must admit that I am extremely impressed. The storytelling thus far is on par with all of the other Bioware games I have played, the characters are intersting so far and the combat is fun and challenging.
One thing about me is that I usually like to play through games on easy. I'm more the type of person that enjoys a good story and would rather not struggle to progress. I decided to start this game on Normal though, figuring I've played enough RPGs to be able to survive. I've noticed that this game can be fairly challenging even on normal, but I've also found that I am NOT scaling the difficulty down. I am dying, and trying a new tactic in order to overcome the battle. I haven't had a game that has driven me to face its challenge like that since the Mega Man Zero games, and that is something to be commended.
No reason for this blog really, just wanted to express my thoughts on that. Time to get to sleep after a long night of DA:O, I better salvage what sleep I can before I have to wake up again XD.

Windows 7
So I bought Windows 7 with the student discount for $30. I've installed it and it runs beautifully. I'm actually very glad I waited until it released instead of getting Vista. So far it has not given me any problems and it is similar enough to XP so that I didn't have to struggle very much to learn its ins and outs.
So, for all of you that haven't upgraded yet, if you own XP or Vista, and are a student at an institution with an official e-mail given to you, go to www.win741.com. Click on the link for your appropriate country region and input your information and you will be able to download it for $30. If you want a backup DVD like I wanted add another $13 for the disc and shipping. Still, it's a very good deal because you can choose from Home Premium or Professional. I of course got Professional for the XP Compatibility it adds and they are both $30 anyway, so why not get the better version you know?
What it'll do is download it to your hard drive and install through there. It sounds weird but it works just fine. I haven't had any trouble with any of my older games so far, having played a little of Warcraft III, Starcraft, Sins of a Solar Empire, World of Warcraft, Morrowind, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Bioshock and Quake Live. I've heard that Vista had some compatibility issues with games but W7 seems to work fine so far. It also runs actual XP when it does compatibility it's not like a virtual emulator or anything. Anyway, check it out.
Also, I ordered 4GB of RAM for my PC yesterday, can't wait until that comes in. That's about the most interesting news I have for now. BAI!

Gamerpoints
I'm happy to say, that I have finally overcome the 10,000 Gamerpoint mark. I have recently become so addicted to achievements that I go online to look for easy walkthroughs for achieving these goals. The worst I have done so far is raising all of my classes in Blue Dragon to 99. Now on to raising my levels to 99 XD. Kudos to me.
