I never thought it would happen...

MY 360 DIED! WHY!?!?! WHY!?!!?! WHY OH WHY!?!! WHY!!!!!!! Just a few days before Batman Arkham Asylum as well....Now I have a broken 360 and a Nintendo Wii that needs to have a fan running on high next to it to keep from overheating! Maybe it's a sign that it's time for PS3

    Thoughts On Nintendo's Conference

First off I smartly came to this year's Nintendo Conference expecting nothing. The last two showings have been terrible. It seems as though Nintendo is finally getting some firm footing back. The show started with New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Along with the reveal that it's coming out this year! Plus, it's co-op! Playthe entire Mario game with afriend? Not with just asingle friendeither.Three Friends and you! Plus, it's in the style of the classic Mario games...IT'S A SIDESCROLLER! This was a huge annoucment for Nintendo. I was really happy to see it. Then came...sigh Wii Fit Plus. I minimized for that because really I dont care what Nintendo has to say on that subject. Iwatch the conference for the games I love. Waited for that to get done withand had to wait for a bit for anything interesting to show up again. Soon we had a awesome new trailer for the new final fantasy game. Yes..we already knew about it but still. Golden Sun is finally back! We got confirmation on the new Mario and Luigi game coming to the U.S. and a new Mario vs Donkey Kong. Than at the end of the show they not only pulled out Super Mario Galaxy 2 but a brand new Metroid as well! Still gamers are going to walk away empty-hearted. But really Nintendo is offering so much for us this year. Brand new Mario! Numerous DS games. And as Reggie pointed out third parties are starting to make their mark on the system. The three games that we're displayed: The Conduit, Resident Evilarkside Chronicles, and Dead Space Extraction. All three of these games look great. Plus, Nintendo didn't even take a look at some of High Voltage Software's new games. If Nintendo could just get some developers to shut their mouths and not talk about their games before the press conference then...really every gamer woud walk away much happier. Really Nintendo has annouced some amazing games for 2009-2010 games that should make any Nintendo gamer very happy.

    1 Problem With Microsoft's E3 Press Conference

Despite, what I have to admit was a pretty great press conference. Microsoft is posing one slight problem to me. They have at their disposal arguably one of the most talented developers on the planet. And it appears as though they've decided not to utilize them at all? What developer is this? Rareware. During their Nintendo Days Rare was my favorite developer on the system. With hits like: the Donkey Kong Country Series, Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, and Killer Instinct. Many gamers believe that Rare has lost it's touch since they became owned by Microsoft. I'm forced to disagree with this statement. Rare is still capable of making some great games. Just look at the Viva Pinata series. Those games are the most fun that I've ever had on a Microsoft System. Even, the Banjo-Kazooie series though a shadow of it's former self is still a playable and well "good" game. Nowadays, it seems like many games don't even reach "good" status. The latest news I've heard from Rare is their rumored development of Killer Instinct 3. Hopefully, this holds true and we actually see a sign of Rare in the next 4 days of E3. Or maybe Rare just wasnt ready for E3 this year. Whatever the case, if Microsoft has suddenly decided to ignore Rare they are making a terrible mistake.
