Irony has a Sense of Humor
Well, one night over the weekend I was bored and it was well past midnight. Nothing to do, and unable to sleep. I decided to reboot my 360, for the hell of it. Started her up, and a new update was available. "Cool!" I thought. It was a nice way to be greeted after such a hate vacation I've been in on this site. I natually check out the new Marketplace slide, and discoved TV shows for purchase. I liked my 360 again.
I have no idea why, but it all suddenly clicked. It made sense. Microsoft actually had a great plan for the future. With their headstart on Nintendo and Sony, Microsoft probably plans to:
1. Make s simple-to-use programming developer kit for full optimization of the 360's hardware, giving it the age over the PS3.
2. Provide High Definition TV and Movie purchases to combat iTunes, at roughly the same price points.
3. Gain widespread comprehension for the 360 ("Hey lets go play Atari to Nintendo to PlayStation, and now Xbox.)
4. Allow developers to program games for less price, with less challenges, to a much wider and diverse audience.
5. Provide Live service for online gaming and support on Xbox 360, Vista-based PCs, the Zune, and Portible devices.
6. Take advantage of the Windows-using PC users by allowing for easy synchronization between the two.
7. Use fundage from Xbox Live Gold members to help build the service, maintain 24/7 servers, combat system production costs, and possibly for use to persude developers.
That's all I can come up with. How about you? Do you think that Microsoft's software expertise is enough to defeat the super-powered PS3 or the inviting Wii? Comments welcome.

A Message to All the Remaining Sony Supporters after $2 Billion Loss:
I imagine if the PS3 could talk, here's what it'd have to say:
Still Here
I've been neglected and battered.
My plans the Wii done scattered.
Journalists abuse me,
Fans refuse me,
Seems like between them they've done try to make me
stop living, stop selling, lose money each year.
But have no fear...
I'm still here.
Based on the poem, "Still Here" by Langston Hughes. (Boy, I'm turning into a fanboy, arent I?)

Trying out the Wii again...
Since I apparently missed the boat my last trial, a friend of mine is giving me a few hours to try out Zelda today. I doubt my views will change to much, but I figure I have nothing to lose. More on that soon...- Posted Apr 11, 2007 9:11 am GMT

Gears of War
"Mixed reactions" At its core, GOW may be repetitive and uninspired, but it's still a worthy addition to most 360 owners' libraries. Continue »
