6May 08Since i havnt writen a blog post in ages i thought i should make a contribution to this underage riot we call Gamespot (not that writing one really makes a difference to anything or anyone due to the absolutelack of writing furness that i posses!) I also wanted to jump on the band wagon of "im the most mature" (ob. of which i dont even belong near let along on the same street as....!) afer having a quick speed read of the blogs that havebeen coming from the back-side of Gamespot (no affence to the writers of such blogs). Just thought i'd add my 2 cents and say i'v hardly played my GTA copy (5 hour's ish so far...aka not much) due to the huge amount of fun that i' been having out-of-doors! "Did he really say out-of-doors?"
Hell yer i did. Btw out-of-doors aka outside foolio! Coolio? Anyways, basicaly all im saying today is that try not to forget the real world outside all these games and endless post after post over some pointless console / platform war.- Posted May 6, 2008 12:43 pm GMT

22Sep 07My house mate pulled out a copy of this the other day and as we both enjoy playing wow i thought that we should give it a go. I did not even realise that this was a two player game, which make it insane because playing this with a friend is so much fun. Just done our 1st complete run through of the game, now on our second. Full review coming asap.

23Aug 07Im at work once again, trying to fill in my time by surfin through GS when i realise after a quick scroll though my blog posts that i am addicted to "...'ing". Ok, ok, addicted is a bit of a heavy word for the way i like to finish most posts, hell even most of my sentances... GS seem to think that too many "...'s" break ther site/posting rules. Errrrrr, what?... Are they crazy?... Yer i can see if a person "...'s" way too much in a post / thread then it can become very anoying (tbh i only usualy use it at the end of one of my posts when i feel there can be more to say or if i just want to leave the subject open-ended) but is it realy necc. to include it in their 'ZOMFG plz dont do "this" in ur posts / threads site guide section'. Meh, i like to ... don't we all some times? Does it not add an air of the unknown about it?...

17Aug 07Alot of ppl recently seem to be asking themselfs some very intelligent questions in relation to their perspective on certain games and the opinions formed over said games. I am now also doing the same due to a few recations that i have had from ppl within the MMO that i currently play. I currently feel that after almost 2 years playing the same game over and over, every day, i just about have some basic knowladge of the game in question. Dont get me wrong, i ob. dont know it all, no body does, but i feel that i have a good grasp over the majority of content that the average user interacts with. In an MMO of corse its hard to realy tell who understands the basic consepts/content but its generaly possible to gauge a players lvl of expertise by the gear (weapons/armor/items) that they own and the company that they keep. Basicaly it all comes down to this, i am sick and tired of players who just seem to enjoy insulting their fellow players with any means necc. Usually from what iv seen this will come in the form of the insult "noob". This term is banded about far too much imo, it cannot realy be applied to a player before the insulter even knows anything about him/her or the experience they have had within the selected game but ob. whatever i say will never make any kind of a difference, ppl out there will still keep using the word. Tbh tho i seem to see more ppl using the word "noob" or "noobzor" or "nub" or whatever on GS than in the MMO that i play currently, my main grip with this use that its mainly just a very hurtful way of defining anyone (/cry). Nobody likes to be told they know very little about a given subject when they might actually know more than you do... Just think b4 u talk/type next time...

12Aug 07Like iv said before im new to BF, i was thinging that i would be well under experienced for said game but alas twas not to be compleatly true due to the fact that on my second night of play i mannaged to kill a couple of generals a few times a piece. Now this most likly was down to pure luck, it could have been that i had caught any1 of them at a bad time, i.e. just after another fire fight with any of the other ppl from my own team. Imo these generals had almost no idea how to play such a game or had any real understanding of the underlying basics to weaponary or tatics. The best example i can remeber of this was running around a corner to see of of these generals standing up trying to kill me with a heavy machine gun that the 'support' class is issued with. At this point i would have released a steaming pile of filth into my boxxers if this enemy had any common sense at all but to my suprise he decided that instead of taking the instant prone killing position that most ppl take while wielding such a beast of a weapon he just stood on the spot shooting in every direction but my face/body. Pop, pop, ur dead. I spose the moral of this story is that any1 can spend enough time online to become a general but without common sense you wont realy progress to far...

9Aug 07Just installed BF2 this morning on my PC. Finaly upgraded my graphics card so i can actually play it properly for once. After downloading the patch to take it up to version 1.4 (i think) i jumped straight in and join the first server that i could access. As i perpaired myself for my first ever match in a modern combat simulator (makes a change from wow tbh...) i realised how unprepaired i was for such an event. It had been over a year since i played my last online shooter and the last online FPS that i played was Quake Arean, so this new (to me) combat simulator couldnt be much further from the last FPS that i played even if i tryed. I supose that they are both very fast moving, tactical and very skilled games but ob. very different when it comes down to their basic combat structure. I have luckly had the privalige of watching my m8 play this game so i was not compleated lost and confused but the GUI, which helped alot. With this said any kinda of FPS experience will help a new player in BF2 but can only get him/her so far... So, as i spawned to the location that i had pre-selected on the map screen (ob having selected the equipment that i was to use) i joined the battle full of excitment. But even before i mannaged to inspect my equipment or even get a chance to look at the wonderful scene that was around me im looking up at the sky thinking "this isnt right, i sould be looking forward not up...". Its then that the harshest of actions was unleashed upon my face. Now i wont usually initiate this to another online player unless they have done it to me first, pissed me off so much that i want to smash my PC or unless they are utter noobs. I must have fallen under the last catagory for the person in question. Imo he was spawn camping but who knows, it could hav easily been luck but as soon as i spawned into my first ever BF2 match i was shot in the face. I think this is a sign for how things are to unfold in the future for me on BF2...

Does wow need another expansion?
Even more redundant data.
What a shame. Such a waste.
New content does look nice tho.
Do we need another class aswell ffs?

22Jul 07At work atm, ob. doin some 'work' aka surfing GS ftw ;D Reading some other ppl's reviews of Guild Wars because i just reviewed it the other day after having a little refresher (played it for just over a day @ uni, found it basic, soooooo easy & ppl who i played it with online were r-tards, tryed it again the other week and found it to be exactly the same as the 1st time i played it). One of the reviews that i read said it was a reliable and well supported game, hmmm i though, couldnt be much more from the truth... About a week ago when i decided to re-download the game and check if my account was still active i found the game to be much the same as when i first played it, appart from the fact that after 3 hours of play my ping went through the roof. At one point it touched the 53k ms mark, at this point i decided that the game was ob unplayable. I then checked my connection to our houses wireless hub which was absoloutly fine (WOW ran @ aprox 20ms, my usual speed). What was i to do next? Guild Wars website was of little to no hlp due to the fact that they offer little to no support for ther players (same with the in-game support) but what can u expect from a game that has no monthly fees? Dont get me wrong, tbh i dont realy agree with the WOW monthly payments but at least i know when i play WOW i have a full system of support, user issue problem solving (and also continual product upgrades to introduce new content and fix existing problems) which i can fall bk on if anything happens to arise that may hinder my gaming experience. Like i said, with Guild Wars ther is just a massive void of nothing-ness when it comes to user support. Sweet.

22Jul 07WOW took over my life when i started my 2nd year @ uni. Tbh i have never realy been a huge fan of RPG's, both the on and off line types, until i came across WOW. One of my uni m8's introduced me and ever since then iv found that WOW offered me much more than i could have ever thought possible from a computer game. But now after almost 1.5 years of grinding/instance-running i feel i need a break, dont get me wrong, its not like iv even played that much of the game compaired to some ppl out ther (i have done every instance now tho, appart from some of the new raid instances). Imo it is a sweet ass game (will review soon...when i cba) but now the the summer is here iv decided to take a break and chill instead of playin WOW all day on my days off. Some ppl out ther say WOW is a waste of time, i would agree, but aint all computer games a waste of time?
