    "Fanboyism" is a Dying Breed

After the recent announcement of Final Fantasy XIII NOT being an exclusive to the PS3, and instead will also be released on the XBox 360, I've realized how crazy some people can be when their "exclusiveness" is being threatened.

It's also made me realize how dumb some people can be arguing over which video game console / computer is "teh bestest". Usually it just becomes a flame war between them and not even good solid reasons.

Seriously, games are ment to be played, not argued about pointlessly, when I say that I mean a flame war between two or more fans of different things. This includes agruing about which game is better, arguing about which console is better or which game character is better endelessly. Don't get me wrong, arguing is fine, but just because you're a "hardcore" fan of something doesn't give you the right to endlessly flame others.

Everyone has different tastes and attacking them isn't going to do any good.

Now back to the whole exclusiveness issue. "True" fanboys should be excited that an exclusive is being ported over to another console. Now even more people will be able to enjoy something that will be great.

Hardcore fanboyism is not "cool" anymore, if it ever was, and shouldn't exist.
