Welcome to my profile. I've been playing video games since I was three, pretty much nonstop, even though I rarely find a game that I really enjoy. I usually don't enjoy playing video games unless they have a good story or have co-op, although I have somehow still managed to get achievement crazy on my 360. I think some guys at Bungie said it best while describing playing CTF on Halo 2 and you are killed a second before scoring, you hate it but you also love it and when it's over you want to do it again. The only difference is that now, I want to do it again and again and again to get those damn achievements.
Upcoming games that I might/will buy. I probably will not get all of them, me adding them here just means that I am interested in the game, but not so much so that I will buy it even if it is getting bad reviews everywhere. Text in ( ) is to remind me where I preordered it or if I still need to

Purchases for 9-5-08
I don't know if I ever mentioned it but these blogs aren't really what I bought on the day in the title, it is what I bought from the day my last purchase blog had to this day.
Games Bought

Castle Crashers: $15
If it was just a regular beat em up game I would be dissapointed because for the most part the actual fighting wasn't as good as other games on the arcade, like Streets of Rage 2. It was also a shame that all the weapons had the same animations. What makes this game worth it is the four player co-op (when Tom gets the patch out), the different magic attacks for all the characters, RPG elements, and it should last much longer than an average beat em up. It was worth the money and I had fun playing it, and I should have more fun once co-op works for me.

Reviews anywhere from a five to an eight. My opinion is much closer to the five. The game has a lot of problems and I felt like it ended where it should have just gotten bigger. Unlike the last one I hated the missions. In the first Mercenaries each faction had missions, most of them had you fighting another faction that you could also do missions for. This game really didn't have that many missions, in fact I don't think that the Pirates (one of the five faction) even had one (I'm not counting all that race around crap as missions, if the mission has Level 1/2/3 after it, I don't consider it a mission). The bombs are cool but I never needed them and when I got to the point where I could afford a lot of them (or purchase them in the first place) the game was over, which made even having them almost pointless. I'm sure that I will have fun playing co-op once my friend rents the game. Besides enjoying co-op, this game will join The Darkness and Stranglehold as games that I probably should have bought later. The only difference between the three is that I really liked The Darkness and Stranglehold.
Books
Avengers Dissembled
House of M
Civil War Companion
Decimation: X-Men The Day After
Total Price: Around $19
Enjoyed all of them except for Decimation, I didn't really care for the story (continued from Avengers and House of M) but it wasn't that interesting, and I didn't like the art as much. Decimation was also the one that costs the most, the only one where the book cost more than the shipping. It's nice buying 200 page graphic novels for $2 at half.com instead of $20 or more at sites that sell books and comics.
That's it for the last two weeks. All I have for this month is to get a free rental on my birthday, see if I could rent Force Unleashed sometime, buy Brothers in Arms: HH, and maybe the second box set of Bleach.

Buys for 8-22-08
Books
Marvel Secret War: $13
Why the sudden interest in Marvel Comics? I really liked the Marvel UA game, the story for Marvel UA 2 is supposed to cover the Secret War and Civil War, so I bought both graphic novels off of half. I liked them. I ordered four more for about $20, all from the same guy, so I might as well take advantage of the cheap prices while getting half off my shipping cost.
Rentals: $9.08

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
I'm not hunting for treasure or for gold, I'm hunting for trophies, unless those treasures lead me to trophies. That's right, I have a PS3 now, it's time to start working on Gamerscore and Trophies (another reason for me to ignore the Wii, notice my preorder/interest list, see any Wii games, no). So far I have all the trophies, except for beating the game on hard, hardest, and getting all of the trophies. I finished the game on normal the first day I had it, but I enjoyed it.

Warhawk
Dammit, don't make online only games like this without adding some tutorials. Sure text pops up to tell me what does what for help tips but the text is so small on a non HD TV that it is hard to read, and some text is cut off for me. Hard to get into, but it's alright. Feels good shooting down nine enemy planes on an anti air turret while they try to stealth bomb you. I don't need a lock on to blow you up! Probably not really my thing though.
I'll likely end up getting Socom (the version with the mic) for my first PS3 online game. I tried Metal Gear online when I still had it, it was better than the PS2 one, but still didn't seem like anything special.
Next week I should just be getting the other graphic novels in the mail and picking up Castle Crashers when it comes out.

The big three, stuff bought for 8-15-08
I finally have them all. I just got a PS3 as an early Birthday present, also likely my only Birthday present, from my mom and aunt. I got the 40GB. I got it hooked up along with my 360, Wii and PS2 and it is doing it's long update now. I can even keep all online at the same time, along with my computer, and my dads computer. I just don't have enough places to plug them in, so I'll have to switch between my PS2 and PS3 or my Wii and PS3. Buying it also gets me 12 free rentals at Hollywood Video, they were out of them right now and said I could get them when they come in.
Games Bought

Super Robot Teisen: Origional Generation: $18
I already own and like the second one, I found one copy of it at Gamecrazy and bought it. I like it. Also it looks like I got a good deal because most online seem to sell for close to the same price without the box and directions.

Paper Mario (VC): $10
I rented this game when it came out and loved it. Picked it up on the VC a few days ago.
Super Metroid (VC): $8
I never played it and decided to get it on the VC. I have barely played it because I decided to finish Trauma Center instead. It's going to have to keep waiting due to one of my rentals.
Rentals

Metal Gear Solid 4
I might not have gotten free rentals but I still had seven rent one get one free cupons from all my preorders. How could I pass this game up. This is what I think of the game. I saw my friend play it for a little while, played five minutes myself. I give it a 10.

Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom
Like I said last time, I am running out of 360 games to rent. Every other time I have gone to Hollywood this game has been out, so I might as well get it when I can.
Rentals: $9.08
Other
1600 MS Point Card: $20
Getting ready for Castle Crashers. I also will still have 1,100 points after buying that.
