Lego Batman done
I didn't think I was gonna play Lego Batman (360) anytime soon but I decided to play something simple and I ended up being addicted to it on Friday and Saturday. I beat both the Heroes and Villains sections. It was pretty fun and very enjoyable.
The graphics are solid and well done. Everything on the 360 version was crisp and sharp. They even have little textures on their capes just like the real Legos. The levels are quite nice looking and realistic unlike the Lego characters and vehicles. In any case, everything is colorful and looks great. The loading was fairly fast too.
The sound is alright. Noone really speaks but they got the voices just right for each character you meet. The music is great even though it doesn't really match some of the stuff on screen. It's basically Danny Elfman's score from the two Tim Burton Batman flicks. His music kinda keeps the tone of the game in a semi-dark mood. But at least it's not generic comic book crap stuff.
The gameplay is just like the previous Lego games but a little more refined. I've only played the Star Wars Lego games so I can't tell you how it compares to the Indiana Jones one. The foot sections feature the same gameplay s7yle with the same annoying jumping portions due to somewhat poor fixed camera angles. But you have way more moves per character and they add a lot of diversity to the gameplay. The large selection of various characters keeps the game fresh for replays. But what really surprised me were the vehicle sections. They were a lot more fun than the SW Lego games. The controls are super tight and responsive and I actually loved playing them.
Finally the story, while it's not a parody of the previous movies, they did add a few homages to the Batman flicks and animates series in here. The first episode is sorta like an homage to the Batman and Robin movie, the second is from Batman Returns and the last one looks like it was loosely based on the original Batman movie. Sprinkle that with plenty of ideas and concepts from the animated series and you got yourself a decent spoof. But the story isn't really quite as funny as the previous SW Lego games. It still feels dark to me since they captured the characters' personas so faithfully.
Overall, if you enjoyed the previous Lego games, this is worth playing. I liked it more than the SW ones (no opinion for the Indy one). The controls feel tighter, the levels are slightly less frustrating and the whole game felt more cohesive. The ability to play the Villains levels with their own original story and levels from their POV was genius. Not only did it add more value to the game but I liked seeing their side of the story. That was cool. This is worth buying for Lego and Batman fans and worth a rental for everyone else.
Btw, this game is an achievement drug. I've been replaying it to snag more of those delicious achievements. Well done Traveller's Tales. ;D

PWNED! (Jaa Style)
A MV I made with clips from Tony Jaa's movies. It was a very difficult project to edit. The project was put on hold for a over a year but it's finally completed. I didn't have a lot of movies to work with since Jaa only made two movies.

Annoyed
This is a music video that I made when I was bored. I used footage from the Final Fantasy Advent Children movie. The music was a mash-up I found online. This was a quick video that only took 2 1/2 hours to make. Pure action. Enjoy!
