I voted!
I requested a mail-in ballot, and today I wrote down my votes for all the categories, from president to local offices. Let's not argue about the contents
--I'm just happy I got it over with. I found a library book I thought I'd lost. Yay! I didn't get to watch a couple of the shows I'd downloaded from the county library's website, because the files were timed to expire at a certain point. Oops. Well, the nice thing about the neat video player that they have is that you can just request it again. Now you don't have to shlep to the place and actually get a video. They beam it to you through the magic of your computer. The Internet is run by elves, isn't it?
Just a quick hello. See you soon. Thanks.

October 7
Hello, today we had the adjustment of the cable channels that our network, FIOS, had been promising for a long time. They switched all the station numbers, added a bunch of things and generally confused the heck out of everybody. Thank goodness I didn't have to reprogram my favorites into the remote-- the system took care of the new numbers for the list itself. Still, when I'm flipping through the other channels, I don't know what's going on. I liked things the way they were-- Verizon could have just put all the new stations at the end of the old list. I guess that was too easy.
We also had a giant rainstorm, so bad that it woke me up. My poor dog was scared as anything. She was quivering on the couch with my Mom and Dad. She got a little better once the storm quieted down. T.V. and cookies will help anybody.

I'm writing this on my laptop Compaq. I'm trying to get more used to it. Wonder how much it costs to add memory, if you can do that to these things... anyhow, I'll see you soon.

It's Rocktober!
Hi, everybody. The NHL season is just getting underway, with the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers playing a two-game set in Prague. The other teams are all still playing pre-season games, but they will start the real year soon. I for one couldn't be happier.
I watched a couple of movies online with Netflix this weekend. "Paprika" was all right, a Japanese anime mystery. "Bloodrayne 2: Deliverance" was one of the worst movies I have seen in a long while. I liked the first one, but the sequel was horrible. I know it was supposed to be scary and had vampires and all, but somebody could have turned on a lamp or something. I like to be able to see what's going on.
I also got a CD I ordered, after a few weeks, because it was sold out and delayed for a while. The new shipment came in, so here I am with my new copy, and boy is it nice. If you're into electronic music, try it: they're called Deine Lakaien and it's a career recap with two discs.

I dropped off some more cat food and cat litter as donations for the local ASPCA. I try to do that about once a week. I also got together some cans for a food drive. The other day I went to the zoo and took some new videos. The monkeys were great. Such amazing colors.
My cable company has begun to add lots of new super-fancy HD channels, which means I have to buy a #@$% new t.v. because the one I have now only picks up the old. The cable box works fine, I just need a t.v. that handles HD signals. @#$% technology... &$%* laws... well, I'll stop rambling now.
That's it for now. I'm going to try and read a bit more and watch "Hot Pursuit." See you later.

Hello, dog!
Cute footage of my dog walking in to say hello. I think the shadow on the carpet is pretty cool...
