Sorry I haven't blogged for a while! (No I'm not dead)
Salutations my gaming homies!
I know I haven't blogged since August but I'll make it up to you for making an insanely long blog about everything that has happened to me since! Well I have just been in Asheville, North Carolina. My grandmother who likes to criticize everything under the sun except her beloved homeland of England is in town and came with. We went to the Biltmore Estate which is 8000 square acres and the house itself is apparently largest in America. Here are a few pics to give you a good idea of what it's like...

The house has a lot of history most of which is dull. Owned by the richest man in America, opened to the public in 1930. That's all you really need to know. On the second day my grandmother forced us all to watch 'The Duchess'. Not bad. There are multiple sex scenes and I like historical movies. But if you can't stand 1700's flowery English speech then give it up.
So I haven't blogged for a while but that's because I've been busy getting past the thick swamp that is Savannah Country Day Middle School. I am still getting grades in the 90's and I even let the unthinkable thought pass through my head. I could make High Honor Role! Then I realized I probably failed Orchestra. Advice to you all: Never play the violin. Not only is it a physical impossibility to play those wretched Symphonies, but most Strings teachers are usually well, strange. Especially mine. So I'm probably not going to make High Honor Role. Just regular Honor Role. Although you don't read my blogs to hear about my personal life, I don't care. So excuse me while I spew out the happenings of my non-gaming life. First off, I'm not that quiet nerd boy sitting with Dungeon Masters! Now I'm a (only!) semi-nerd sitting at a popular table. That's right. I made the plunge. Although I'm not about to switch from cross country to football, at least I feel somewhat accepted. Here's how I did it:
1st Week: Move to a table with semi-popular people. Talk a lot. Everyday, all the people at the cool table move to another table randomly. When they do, leave not to early but not too late. Move too early and maybe not everyone will move, leaving you stranded with one or two people. Move too late, you look awkward.
2nd Week: Keep slowly building your confidence by sitting with the same people for a week at a time. Then move on to the next level the next week.
4th or 5th Week: You've probably graduated to the highest level by now. Congratulations! (Note: This worked for me. Maybe not you.)
So, my homeroom is alright although it is frustrating that I've got a math teacher for my advisor three years in a row. We are the dolphin riders! No, I didn't vote for that particular name. One thing constantly confuses me though. Although the school is insanely expensive, costing $15,000 dollars a year, it seems to me that in 6th grade everyone was restrained to the same level. For instance, in English we all read the same brain-dead books. It's strange that now, in 7th grade we're reading Shakespeare. A huge jump. Hopefully, during that painful transition between 8th grade and High School, we'll lose the jerks and idiots. I'm crossing my fingers.
Now back to my gaming life. I've played Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty 4, Oblivion, and Battlefield: Bad Company and Civilization Revolution all on my beautiful ps3. And I've played massive amounts of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PC. I downloaded it (legally!) from Direct2Drive. Words cannot describe how da*n fun this thing is. Play it. There is so much stuff to do. So many ways to kill off civilians. Do yourself a favor and play some gta, any gta from gta III to gta IV. You will have fun. Also, Cod 4 is great to. There were so many moments in it when I stared blankly at the screen with amazement at what had just happened. Cod 3 was great to- I didn't notice too many framerate drops. Battlefield Bad Company is amazing to although I prefer Cod 4.
On another note, I turn 13 today! Precisely 1 hour and 52 minutes ago actually. I got GRAW 2 for the ps3 which is pretty sweet. And a $90 gift card for Best Buy. I'll have fun with that. I'll get a $60 dollar game but what should I get? Battlefield Bad Company, Little Big Planet, Fallout 3, Call of Duty 4 or Far Cry 2? I'll spend the remaining $30 on Civilization Colonization of Call of Duty 4.
Later guys.

This is messed up...
Please read my blog before this one. I kept on trying to submit it and every time I did, it gave me an error message telling me my blog hasn't been posted. When I checked my profile, I did have my new blog. But since I kept on clicking 'submit' in frustration I now have six of the same blog. But please note all of them have different titles. That's because every time I tried to submit I was told 'a posting with that same name already exists'. So let me tell you I didn't mean to have six blogs. Least user-friendliness in the world...

Into the Next-Generation charged the 500
Hey guys
So, yes I have turned my back on the cold wasteland known as PC gaming and gone towards that lovely heavenly island also known as Console gaming. Of course I'm still going to play a lot of upcoming PC games like Empire Total War but for games like Far Cry 2, I'll be playing it on my shiny ps3. People have been saying PC gaming is dead or dying for quite a while so I wanted to say I a few reasons why it's dead and why I've left it.
1. Piracy. Recently Assassins Creed for the PC sold 40000 in America. The pirated version in America was downloaded 700000 times. That's just an example of how much PC games are pirated. That means studios with pirated games make less money and so therefore, some have to close down. Fewer studios mean fewer games.
2. Economy. In case you haven't noticed our country is in the middle of a recession. People don't have buckets of money and credit to spend like they did before. We can't live our extravagant lives any more. We need to cut back on un-necessary expenses. If you get a gaming rig, in about one or two years it'll be obsolete. Meanwhile, consoles are cheaper and last longer. Yes, console games are expensive but games that came out a year ago are about $30. Take The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for example. Oblivion sells for a mere $30 and provides you with over 200 hours of epic RPG action! Any average American with a brain knows that buying a console saves money.
3. Games. Yeah Total War is pretty popular internationally. In America? Not so much. I know Total War is a fantastic series but, it doesn't appeal to the public. Console games like Halo, Guitar Hero and Rock band sell millions. The sorts of games you get on a PC generally aren't appealing to American consumers.
So there you have it. Why PC gaming is dead in America. PC gaming is still popular in the UK and Asia though. But piracy rates? Europe's piracy rate is 90% and in Asia it's apparently 'off the charts'. Over 100% perhaps?
I wrote that message up there so bangell99, PC gamings most loyal zealot and my friend, won't send me hate-mail. I doubt it though. I can already see his comments calling me 'traitor' or 'scum' or perhaps something fouler.
Anyway, so far I love my ps3. I got the PSN booted up. My PSNID is 'ilikegamesyo1'. I've played some Civilization Revolution, Grid and Battlefield Bad Company on it. Civilization Revolution is surprisingly good and meets the sky-high expectations set by its superb PC predecessors. (Civilization is a historic turn-based strategy. VERY addicting- seriously) Grid is a deep racing game although I've lost all my races since its so painfully hard. Yeah but so far I'm impressed with the ps3's features.
And as for school I'm actually having a good time. But my science teacher is a slow-talking Southern-belle who is so dry and dusty; she can send anyone into a coma if she talks for too long. Her lessons feel twice as long as they should. Anyway, all my other teachers are all right. So far I've failed one quiz, got 90%, 80% and 96% on my others. Not bad I guess. Well later guys....

Yep.Peasants. Over 2,500 of them. Yeah the framerate would go down if I actually fought the battle but I just wanted to show you my army.
