Woa seems like years ago I posted that last blog about full spectrum warrior. Hmmm sweet game I still have to say. Too bad the ten hammers expansion was just BAD compared to the old one. The graphics were so pushed up that my computer just went slowwwww.
Recently I went back to this game Chaser I once played the demo back in the day. I found it laying around so I thought I should give the full game a try. I have to say that the game started out really cool. It was like... an older version of Half-Life 2 when it started but going through levels and levels, it just got plain bad. Though it must have been the longest game I ever played, the story was probably the worst I ever hear of. But I don't want to go into details, I wrote a review on it if you want to read it.
Anyways, I think I might post on this more often now that im on vacation from college (WOHOO for both lol)
Lol ok... time to talk about FSW....
I finished it the other day, finally. Lol I have to say it was a pretty good game with some highs and some lows. It reminds me a lot of Ghost Recon but with more strategic gameplay. I loved the cover to cover feature, it's something that you don't really see out there. Except for of course Kill Switch but that game was just plain bad >.<. The storyline was alright, it's based in this foreign country called Zekestan or something and while going through the levels it reminded me of both Afghanistan and Iraq. I assume they didn't want to talk about either one so the game wouldn't have any problems when its released. I've been thinking about what the game actually lacks, and all I came up with was better realism physics. What is so cool about certain games is the actual in battle effect. When they shoot at you i just love to hear those bullets whistle past you and see some of them hit a wall and break a piece out of it. I had the game's graphics all the way up but the gunfights where pretty dull. Only the RPGs and granades actually gave you a violent sense of what was going on, because they made the screen move. I really enjoyed the movie Black Hawk Down and this sorta reminded me of it too. Overall its a good game, defenetly worth playing.
gaaaah i just need that damn game!!! It looks so incredibly awesome and i just cant wait to go out and buy it.
Hopefully my comp will have enough requirements to hold it up and running. Lately my graphics card has just been giving me problems. I guess because of all the games that are comeing out with that new pixel shader setting thing. Even Lego Star Wars didnt work when i tryed to run it. Im planning to get a new one but I have no idea what kind i should get. For sure im staying faithfull to the GeForce cards, they just own. The card i currently have is a GeForce4 mx 440 with 64mb ram and it was a great card untill they started makeing all these new games. The only different feature I've seen with the Radeon cards from ATI was when playing Halo on my friend's pc. Chief had this sort of shiny effect on his armor wich was kinda cool but kinda stupid at the same time. It would of been better if it wasn't THAT shiny. Almost blinding from what i remember, and even in darker areas.
I guess we will have to see though, I'm not sure whats going to happen about college and I don't really feel like asking dad for some money to get me a new card when I need that to do other more important things.
