If you ever visit Jordan, DO NOT go to Mecca Mall.

I've lived in Jordan my entire life and have been perfectly content with it, my family is around me, my good friends are here but the only problem i've had is the people. To any tourist, you'll never meet a more polite group of people. Trust me, people confuse me for a tourist constantly for some reason.

Back to the topic on hand, my dad and I decided to go to the 3 major malls here in Jordan to buy some clothes and items for my college which starts in a couple of weeks. We hit the first mall, Baraka Mall, very peaceful, great staff but somewhat steeper prices due to all the brand names available there. I bought shoes from Geox.

Next destination: City mall, Valet is probably the worst ever. But that's only a 15 minute wait, so after we finally gave the car to the valet, we walked towards the front where the entireof the Jordanian's emowaxusingsociety resides. Several kids asked us to help him enter the mall since it's families only. We refused. Inside were mostly middle class people which I have no problem with but the occasional emo. I bought a jacket from Massino dutti.

The final destination brings me to theoriginal topicof this blog, Mecca Mall. The cesspool of Jordan's teenager society, it is riddiled with people who believe using too much wax and gel on your hair makes you look decent. Others believe in growing your hair to look like Ellen Degeneres will make the girls swarm. Let's take a minute of the guys to talk about the girls. Ladies, wearing more make up than Mimi Boback from The Drew Carey Show

doesn't make you any more of a supermodel, neither do your 15cm heels.

Back to the cesspool, heavier people wear tight clothes exposing half of their quite ridiculously large belly, while thinner people wear sizes so large, Manuel Uribe will say they're too big. And the wangsta's, good heaven's the wangstas. People wearing complete white XXL shirts and pants when they're a M with chains clearly painted gold. How clear you ask? He literally forgot some spots to paint. Also playing 50 cent's In Da Club 6 years later doesn't make you gangster.

Now finally When the hell are matching Pull and Bear yellow shirts with green pants fashionable? Seriously, my dad and I made a competition to whom can spot more people in matching shirts and pants. I won with 12 unique pairs.

Also, the layout of the mall is ridiculously complicated with a map of the mall every several meteres. I nearly got lost at every turn.

If you ever visit Jordan (I strongly suggest you do by the way), do NOT go to Mecca Mall.

I am aware that this blog may make me sound smug and a bit conceited, I am not. I love my country more than anything, I just hate 80% of people in the country.
