According to GS, I haven't had a blog since Christmas.
So.. what have I been doing lately? Hmm... a whole bunch of nothing but I guess I did do some little things in between. Here are some of them:
- Went to two conventions in Feb and Aug
- Birthday passed, now 24 which now I have a Vita
- Went to Disneyland
- My 4th year anniversary was in July
Yeah, I am still in school and this is hopefully my final year in community college. So... I will soon be transferring to university. I guess I am going to University of Kansas because I can't think of anywhere else to go.
Will I ever blog as I used to? I don't know. Even with being so busy I haven't had that much interest in the site anymore. I am sure you guys have moved on to bigger and better blogs about rants and gaming stuff.
Actually, I do have one rant left in me but I will save it for tomorrow or the weekend.
Oh, and it's a big maybe.. you might see blogs about reviews I written but no they are not for those dang profile points.
It is just something that is just well overdue. -

It has been months since I have last blogged. It has been even longer since I read everyone's blogs. I should get back into the swing of things again hopefully pretty soon. Maybe.
How is everyone doing? I know I have only talked to a few of you guys in the past couple of months.. not everyone else though! As for me, I am doing alright. I have been a busy pants with school so to speak. For all my classes, I got all As and Bs which is really surprising to me because I am usually a C average student. So, I am glad for the first time in a while I actually worked really hard for those grades. Might not get those next semester, though.
So... what did Mina get for Christmas you say? Well, I basically got everything off my Christmas list except one thing because they couldn't find it which is the following:

I know some of the stuff on this list you guys wouldn't get in a million years but that's okay! More for me! I went with a few Wii games this year because I hardly have bought any this year at all. If you guys can recommend any 3DS games that would be great as well. Otherwise I will be stuck with playing Nintendogs for a while.
What did I get other people you say? Well, I got my mom some shoes to match the night clothes I got her last year and I got my dad the first 2 seasons of Hawaii Five-O. I got my friends a few games and other items that they wanted but that is just too much to list.
I know the next question will be what is my 3DS friend code thingie.

I know, I haven't blogged in a while! Shame on me! Well, here is some bright news for you folks! I recently bought the game Catherine. You know, that game everyone and their momma was hyping about? How is it you say? Well... it is fantastic you see! Really worth a purchase, IMO.
There were some gripes going for me during this game. I kept on getting texts from my bug-a-boo chicks a lot. I mean like dang, can a guy go out with his friends and drink in peace? Apparently not. And those sheep blocking my path.. I kept yelling at the TV, "Move, *push* get out of the way!" They were so annoying! Anyway... lets get to the unboxing.
Review for people who just want to read that only.
Alright, what does the LE look like you say? You have to wait.
Apparently the images were not showing correctly, I will fix it asap.. sorry!

Before you go and report my account for being underage... As you can see, my join date was on July 8th, 2008. Well, look on your calendar! Today is July 8th!
So.. three years. I thought I would be super excited about this day and give shout outs and make everything all super fantastic.
When I look back at the last year, I can honestly say that I haven't really been too happy to be a part of the community. It seems like some people have been a little jerkish lately (including myself). I actually think I have changed quite a bit.
Sorry, I am just tired of all the popular media bashing, Kinect bashing, and any other bashing going on. I thought I complained too much but wow. But you know what they say, if you don't like whar you read/see.. get off the Internet. Since I refuse to do that, I just ignore folks but I don't know how much longer I am going to ignore so you better watch what you say.
I have changed my stances on what people say/do in general. Some people get upset when other folks talk about them. Now, I have had some time to think about it and I say that if you don't want someone to talk about you, don't say/do it. I told that to a friend of mine and of course he got upset. I mean just really think before hitting submit people. The people getting trolled here most likely aren't getting trolled for no reason so check your posts. I used to be on the side of the people who would get upset whenever someone got trolled and tell them that wasn't nice. Now, I just laugh at some of them.
Well, to the selected few I still talk to and to the folks reading my blogs, thanks for putting up with me for so long even though I am a huge brat,

Hey GameSpotters!
It has been a while. Since March, I believe. You might have been wondering what I have been up to. Or you probably don't care what I have been up to, and that is just okay with me!
Well, I have been on and off here because of my spring semester in college. I did okay. Had two As and Cs. My Japanese Culture course was killer but I barely got past the passing mark with a C so I don't even have to take it again. It was mainly because my teacher was an evil lady. I think by the time we were finished with the semester, half of the students dropped out. Yeah, students drop out but it wasn't as bad as this course. Knowing my huge Japanophile manner, I stuck with it because I was really interested in the culture enough to not let her make me run away.
Does that mean that Mina will be back spamming all over OT? Well, yes and no. I am also taking a summer course. It is only one course so I wouldn't be too busy. The thing is, I have a backlog that is through the roof. Seeing as I didn't game much during my school year, I am using this month and the next to do so.
E3 was last week. Yup. What did I think? I thought it was okay. But to save you some time I am not going to go into full detail because to be honest... you guys are probably tired of reading it and so am I. I don't feel like typing it either, so you get a get out of jail free card this time around.
What am I currently playing? Well, these are the following games I am going through, so if you have a question you can just post it here:

Add Alice: Madness Returns to that list for tomorrow.
Also, I need to defeat the final boss in Hunted: The Demon's Forge. I am thinking about putting up a review but not sure when exactly because I have a paper due this week and the like. But, I will tell you this. If you like dungeon crawler type games, you should get it. I know there are low scores floating around about this game but it is not that bad, IMO.
Also, my game of the month (game I buy for full price) is Alice: Madness Returns. The big day is tomorrow, I can't wait! I wish I preordered from GameStop so I could get it at midnight but I got it for 45 bucks so it is just as good. I never got a chance to play the first game and it runs for like hundreds of dollars online so that is a nice bonus. I was always a big fan of Alice in Wonderland, but I always hated being called Alice. My full first name is Allison so there are times when people don't hear the "son" part and just go by Alice.
I think that's all I have to say for now.

Does the game have auto-attack?
No. Only on the PC version currently.

Hey GameSpotters!
Alright, I know it has been months since I had a real blog. Never fear! For the people who care, this has what has been going on in my life. (so if you don't like reading long blogs, you can exit now or pretend you read it)
School:
So, you guys remember my schedule last semester right? Well, I had to drop one course (Elementary Japanese). Yeah, go ahead and laugh it up and call me a super weeaboo. The course time I picked only met like two times a week. The teacher is also hardly at the school and basically it was fast paced. I am just going to pick another time slot with a slower paced course next time.
English: Passed it with a B. The teacher I had was so unorganized. And loved to get on us about not having our own assigments.
I met some new friends in that course, though.Geography: I don't have much to say but it is a passing grade.
Math: Got a B. The course was easy for the most part, but I had some minor struggles.
This semester I am taking another math class, Eastern Civilization, Japanese Culture, and some computer courses.
Friends and Relationships:
So, I did mention earlier that I met some folks at school. They are all gamers (except one I think?) and we have been having a great time lately. There is one guy I talk to the most (I think I mentioned him before in RC and everyone assumed that he liked me or something). Mina can say she has a friend? I hope so. We are supposed to hang out soon so lets see how that goes.
I had a relationship for a short time. I won't make this into a TL;DR version but it ended and I kind of wish that I never even let it start because his last relationship ended so soon. Now, all I want to do is kill him? I don't know but it got me confused for a while. He only talks to me sometimes now. I guess he is busy now, I don't know. Probably avoiding me since I want to feel like killing him.
I don't blame him. Still, he is a nice guy, I guess. Maybe I should keep blowing up his phone with texts! 
Games:
So.. I have a couple reviews coming up: Lost Odyssey and Nier. I am also playing Trinity Universe, Final Fantasy 6 (first time ever), and Hyperdimension Neptunia. I will get those reviews up when I finish them or I get to the point that it pisses me off and I give up. Whichever comes first.

As you may know, Feburary is Black History Month. Why the change? Seeing as I am black and celebrating Black History Month is probably something required of me, I really don't like celebrating it every year. Sure, I know tons of history about my race but when something is pushed down your throat so much, you just want to say "**** it." Sure, history is wonderful but just... no. I guess I didn't want people to assume that is why I had a black avatar. So, now what? Am I a closet racist or something because my avatar is of a white girl? No. I was thinking of something to change to and I was watching the show Daria at the time. Brittany is one of my favorite characters, so why not change my avatar to her? Don't worry, I might go back to my original avatar theme after Feburary is over.
That's it! Maybe I will have another blog before this month is over but we will see.

Hey GameSpotters!
I decided to write a blog about a recent event.
Apparently, I was going to go see Harry Potter 7 this morning. The theater I usually go to canceled. We come back home. Shortly after coming home, we decide to call the other movie theater that I go to usually. My dad talked to the theater people and said they had midnight showings on 12:00, 12:15, and 12:30 on Thursday. (and only the last two times were available at the time) My dad hangs up the phone and says, "Well, you can go see it tomorrow night." (which is technically Friday according to current time) at midnight. I asked him if he was sure it was tomorrow? The movie opens for normal viewing tomorrow. (sure, they have a midnight, but I count that as the usual showing) He said yeah, they told me Thursday. Keep in mind, this is the Wednesday/Thursday split in days we are talking.
So... I was like wait a minute. Thursday is today (around 12:15 AM at this point). He said no, it's tomorrow. I told him no.... tomorrow it would be Friday morning at 12 AM.
Seriously, we had a huge argument about this. No joke. He thinks that 12 PM is midnight and most of us know that is not the case. I tried to explain that there's a 12 am is the night/morning (which was right at that moment) and 12 PM is around the middle of the day. I mean, come on with that logic then that means that a new day starts at noon today. It's not Thursday you guys, it's still Wednesday according to my dad. Also, he thought that a day only gets one 12 (which was noon). However, he agreed that there is 24 hours in a day. Then... where the hell are the other 12 if 12 PM starts a new day? Hmm?
I can't wait til the newspaper comes out so I can show him that NO theaters are showing it at midnight Friday morning (except the one that was canceled, but still, he called another one so it doesn't prove his point).
Even my mom knew the difference. And she is always the one who is way far behind when it comes to communication. My dad must be one of those people who are all like... "It's not a new day til I wake up!"
And they wonder why I don't talk to them much? I mean I would cut them some slack if it was technology or something... but this is something EVERYONE LEARNS AT SCHOOL. No matter how old you are. Jesus.

Hey GameSpotters!
So... hmm... it's been like over a month since my last blog.
I think I went up a level or two since my last blog. I hate this level. Can't wait to get out of it.
I started school like... a couple of weeks ago. Here is my schedule. Actually
Monday, Wednesday, Friday:
1:00 - 1:50 World Regional Geography (total snore of a c lass, seriously)
4:00 - 4:50 - Composition/College English 1 (the teacher already knows my name... and she talks too much)
6:00 - 8:25 - Elementary Japanese 1 (Yeah! Being a Japanophile FTW! Monday and Wednesday only)
Thursday:
6:00 - 8:50 - Math
What else to talk about? Hmm.. Aha! Well, let me tell you guys a story. When I was younger... I used to want all the consoles, like I do now. However, I couldn't get all of them. My parents told me I could just get one. There was a year of a battle between two consoles:
Sega Dreamcast and Sony Playstation
Now, I know that these two consoles did not come out at the same time... but at the time of a past Christmas, I could only get one of them. So... I decided on one. The other one got left behind in the dust. Maybe by now... you have decided which one I got for Christmas. If not, keep reading.
Yesterday, I went to a sale. I told myself that I was going to buy the other console. So... at 20 bucks, I did. Welcome to my console collection....
Now... my life is complete. Anyone want to recommend me some games... (more like RPGs) for this dinosaur... go right ahead.
All I have left to grab is the Nintendo 64.
Anyway... one more thing. I might be on and off here until school is over for the year... so if I am hardly posting for a few days... don't worry. I am still alive.

So... I finished Resonance of Fate. How was it? It was amazing... one of the best RPGs of this year. (the only one I finished, anyway)
Want to know what the game is like? Never fear, I have reviewed it for you!
Warning: Sorta gameplayish spoilers (but not really), but no story spoilers.
Go get this game or I will send a cat to follow you everywhere and to give you an evil stare until you buy the game.
And if you kill the cat, PETA will be at your doorstep shortly after. I also went to GameStop's buy 2 get 1 free sale. Bought Lost Odyssey, Scared 2, and my free game was Infinite Undiscovery. (heard the last one stunk, but when you get a game for free, who cares?

I haven't had a blog in like a month! I will think about something to go on and rant about soon... maybe.
I haven't done this in a while either, so just in case you haven't been paying attention...
And now..
Yeah, if you haven't been to my 30k party in OT a while back... sorry.
I got my Sims 3 expansion pack on release day and played it like a manic... might play some more tonight. Anyway, I found these so called "gems" at a store I love to shop at today out of random.
Xenogears, Chrono Cross (PS) Xenogears was 39.99, Chrono Cross was 16.99.
I know I left the flash on, I took another one with it off and my camera decided to go haywire and... yeah. story of my photography life... I will never be a photographer.
That being said... excluding Chrono Cross for now... I heard Xenogears was a very rare gem to come across... I almost bit the bullet and bought it at 60... but then I saw it for 40, and had to grab it. Also... no GH on both of the games.... (not sure if Chrono had one, but seeing since it got a 10 on GS.. I would be shocked if it didn't.)
Gaming Progress: Got to Chapter 14 in Resonance of Fate... been on that chapter for about almost a week now... kinda lazy.
Sims 3 Ambitions... I have only tried the Stylist career, going to top that career before trying all the others. I have been playing Lips a lot and got tons of achievements and got in the top 1000 ranks in some songs.Maybe I will make a blog tomorrow... can't think of anything else to say.

Hey GameSpotters!
This is going to be a shortish blog.. I just want to tell you all something since OT frowns on it because people don't care, but they like to post in the thread to show how much they don't care....
Today is my birthday! That's right, I turned 22 today! I didn't get to go anywhere today.... that's for tomorrow.
What did I get for my birthday? A computer to run PC games on and to start my studio I have been thinking about doing.... now I just need some software...
I am always an excited person when it comes to my birthday.... no matter how old I am turning, I am just bouncing around all excited and such... Same with a friend/family members birthday... it's like that I am glad that those special people in my life were born.
You know what I want to do? I think I want to sign up to every site that has a store... so I can get birthday discounts! I got two today, from EA and Hot Topic. I was going to pre-order APB, but unless I want the digital version... not really a deal. Not sure what I am going to get at Hot Topic, though..
Maybe sometime this week I will feel like taking a photo of this computer and the stuff I got with the money.
Anyway, to finish off... I guess I will tell you my anticipated games for this month.
Green Day: Rock Band (release day purchase)
Alan Wake (depends on if I feel like getting it, maybe a few weeks)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (most likely not on release)
*maybe* Red Dead Redemption (but not buying it on release)

Hey GameSpotters!
Sorry for not being a big blog reader lately... been kinda well.. drained.
Anyway, by request. I will give you some tiny (after looking at my blog, they are big) impressions. (no story spoilers included)
Right now, I am in Chapter 4 out of I think 16 chapters? I gotta check that.
- The characters are goofy. You will find out more if you get the game and see the cutscenes... but sometimes their battle conversations are pretty funny. Too bad the game is rated Teen. It would have been funnier to see what else they came up with.
- The battle system... it's different, yet will take some bit to get used to. They show a display tutorial, but it doesn't explain it all... assuming that people don't want to go through all those tutorials... However, there is a spot at the Arena to train yourself with all the battle commands.
- Arena - This is kinda self explanatory.... if you win, you get rubies (cash, money, moola, whatever you call it) and battle coins. You can use battle coins to get items in the Arena Store, kinda like prizes at Chuck E. Cheese.
- You can change clothes. And it's not like something lame that only shows in the menu... I mean it's there during battle, cutscenes, and all... I already spent tons of rubies at the clothing shop...
- The way the level up is set by weapons... there's three weapon slots (Handgun, Machinegun, and Thrown Weapons). In battle of course you can have only one gun equipped of course and a thrown weapon equipped... so you can switch back and forth if needed. The grenades are bad ass!
- There's direct damage, then there's scratch damage... which I won't go into a paragraph to explain.
- If you die, you will have to pay. Literally. And the fee goes higher by chapter.
- The paths/world map relies all on Hexes to clear the path, which you can get from enemies and people you are doing missions for. No hexes? No moving on.
- If the characters get into critical mode... It's either coming down to this.
- Kill it with all you got. (easier said than done)
- Find all the Bezels on the ground to get you out of critical.
- Game over. (Most of the time it means this option, especially when you have loads of enemies left)
- You get to flip around like an acrobat and shoot at enemies! Every gamers dream! Eh, not really a dream... but it has been mine!
- Oh, and if one character dies, it's game over... yup, that's right.
Anyway, that's all I am going to say because well... if I keep going I might as well tell you the story of the game which I am sure you guys don't want... I did get it at K-Mart for 37.99, if you want it now... (except in NY some places). If it's too far from your house, just ask for a price check on the phone or something to make sure before going. They might still have the 60 sticker on it, though.
Anyway... i'm going to get back to the game.

Hey GameSpotters!
Have you tried the Double Down from KFC yet? You know, the one with no buns... replaced with chicken, inside there's bacon and two different types of cheeses?
Well, let me tell you that... well.. I don't have much to say... It tastes like a big chicken ball... can hardly taste the bacon and cheese, but you know it's there. Well, that kinda let me down.. was looking forward to it all day! I mean come on... bacon and chicken! My two favorite meats! My dad said the people there had trouble making it so.. Oh, well. V_V
Anyway, the title.
I know what you are thinking...
"Mina is having a baby! And she didn't tell us?! How rude of her!
"Actually, no... just thinking about child birth suddenly gives me pains.
I'll just cut to the chase. I have a "new" addition to the family. To be more exact, a sister. My parents just found out tonight that my dad had another child around 40 years ago.. her mother kept denying it, for whatever reason. Some people had a hunch I guess because "my sister" had a resemblance to my father somehow. I never seen her, so I wouldn't know.
What do I think about all of this? Well... I really don't have much to say about it... I just shrugged it off. But, I do know, however, that it was wrong for her mother to keep that big of a secret from her, even though she (the sister) was kinda getting the hint that she could be related to my father. My father is not the type to abandon, he has three other kids (including me) that he loves and takes care of.
Anyway, guess now I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. For now. Supposed to meet her this weekend with her children, lets see how that pans out.
Oh, I am also playing Dragon Age... got stuck at the Lost in Dreams maze... don't you get pissed off when games put in mazes... makes you feel like a damn mouse! Well, I can shapeshift to a mouse now, so I guess it's appropriate. Anyway, off to YouTube to see how to get out of this maze! Lets not add how many times I was being dumb and thinking I can get through the flames with just a little damage... instant death. Do not try that at home.

Hey GameSpotters!
I'm level 32 now. I do have the images, but after GS totally would not accept my previous blog because it suddenly after like 30 or so blogs I typed on a word processor decided to mess up.
I got Final Fantasy 13 on Tuesday.
This will be the shorter version since my previous one got ate up.
- The game is beautiful. And.. realistic from to the strands of grass and hair.
The music is decent, same as any FF.
Potions heal everyone.
Leader dies, game over.
Characters are okay, heard some talk about Lightning's constant moaning.
I don't know where to get Gil other than selling and treasure chests.
The monsters rather take the loot to the grave, that's how stingy they are.
CP which you need to upgrade party members, goes out to everyone... even if they aren't in your party at the moment.
Lightning and Snow need to switch names or get better ones.
Fast paced battling, which is both good and bad.
The C Grid reminds me of FF 10's sphere grid, somewhat.
Too many cutscenes, like every 10 minutes.
Linear
Currently no place to grind other than the path that's in front of you.
The story is boring. - There is a long interduction. What I mean by that is after putting 14 or so hours into the game, I am still getting tutorials. Yeah, that's not too cool at all.
That's it! I'm so mad at GS deciding to eat up my old blog now, I guess I just have to risk it and type it in the post blog window from now on. Sigh.

Hey GameSpotters!
This is my 70th blog! I just now noticed...
What a lot of blogs!So... it's been a month since my last blog! I might be a bit rusty, but you will all forgive me, right? I might have missed your blog, if I did… I will get to it if I remember. Hmm… You are probably wondering about the title. I'll get to that in a minute. First things first!
Sorry, I don't have an image from when I got to level 30… I guess I just was too lazy to screenshot one. I also had a blog when I got to level 30 so… and now I am almost halfway through this level (31).
Now, the explanation of the title. It's actually from a TV show. (Maybe some girls around here have seen it, not sure… It's Gossip Girl, btw) However, I am sure you aren't interested in it even if I explained it! And of course, the level name is in the title. But, no I don't think you guys love me… some of you might hate my guts and want me to get off the internet! Then again…. Why are you tracking me? And… why are you reading my blog?! This is personal stuff!
Actually, the title explains what I am going to talk about…. Popularity. Some of us wanted it when we were younger, and now wouldn't care less. There were some people who were born to be popular, and so forth. Popularity can be a good thing, or a bad thing. Has Mina ever been popular? No, she has not. I mean come on…. She's almost at 30K posts! There are some people who complain about the popular people… Do they secretly want to be popular too? Maybe. Maybe not. Whatever the case is, popularity will never go away no matter how much you will complain. Even after you graduate from school, there's going to be popular people at work or somewhere. So, why the constant hate? It's never going to go away. If someone has more friends/gets more attention than you, live with it. Don't try to ruin them... Remember, popularity can have good/bad effects depending on the person. I have wanted to do something, but what would that achieve? I might get all the friends, I might not... but, it's not worth hurting another person.
Which brings up… OTcars. If you don't know what it is, it's basically an awards ceremony where users are awarded special (or sometimes weird) awards. There has been talk on who and who deserves what. Let me tell you this. If you haven't voted yet, vote for the person you think fits the category best. If no user fits, picking someone else out of a hat is an option… or just leave it blank.
I got nominated for some awards, and I like to thank all the people who nominated me. However, if you don't think I don't fit in the category, don't vote for me. People say it's an popularity contest. It is, sort of. It doesn't have to be if everyone voted for the people who fit best in the categories… if the user(s) don't make it to the next round, that's fine. You should be honored that someone voted for you. Not like if you won it's something that you can put on your resume or something. And.. I will have my votes up this week, don't worry.
Good luck to all the nominees of the OTcars… I am also a tallyer this year, so I guess I will know who won before you guys… but I won't tell, so no asking/begging/bribing! P.S.: Apparently, yesterday was Valentine's Day... so hope you had a great time loving/hating it! I just spent mine goofing around with someone.

Hey GameSpotters!
So... I did level up. But, this is part one because I am out of town and I can't upload the usual images. I will do that when I get back home. I should be back on in a few days... Anyway, here's a little rant until I come back. Have you ever felt like you have been unnoticed as the first person to call when it comes to family and friends? My friends seem to be like that all the time it seems... Like I am the last person they will message to talk to or something like that. Or... if they are really bored or something and no one else is around. Just a little example there. Oh, and you will love this... they will call on you first if they want something done. And most of us will just say okay we will do it because we don't want to let them down... I would get into it a little bit more... but it's not even appropriate to talk about here. Question: Has anyone done (or tried) it with you? If I don't come online tomorrow or something... see you all on Sunday or Monday.
