Alright, so its Sunday April the 6th. I have just got up from my comotoast state. I turn my computer on. I start going around the internets, and I want to go to Gamespot, but its running so goddamn slow it feels like I'm on a 56K again. Oh and people might say that I should try other sites to see if it isn't my connection.....Well, it's not. Other websites run just fine and load fine while it takes two minutes for Gamespot to load one F#$%ing page.
Argh!! This is just so annoying. I want to be able to go around my unions and see what is new with everyone, but no; I can't since Gamespot is running so slow.
Sorry for my b!tching, I just needed to get it out.
Yesterday, I was bored and I decided to try out the Pirates Of the Caribbean "free to Play" on-line game. It's alright, has lots of customising that you can do, and it plays cleanly. You can play has a pirate that is helping Captin Jack Sparrow from an evil undead pirate (don't remeber the name since I didn't play it that much). You get a rusty knife and a one shot hand canon, also a three man boat. That's about where the free to play stops. You only get seven days with it full screen and you can't upgrade any of the characters equipment (or even the boat), and you can't do any of the other quest. That is unless you want to pay an arm and a leg to be able to do more things in it, they call it "unlimited access". Well, to me I thought all "free to play" games had unlimited acess to the game and all the upgrades and all the quests off the bat. So I find it BS that Disney is trying to advertivse a "free to play" game when you can't really do jack in it. I really want to go to the better business bureau and complain about this. The prices they offer to get unlimited access is as followed(these are off the web site):
MONTHLY: $4.95 first month / $9.95 for each additional month(That's about a $100 a year)
SEMIANNUAL: $49.95 for 6 months -- 15% discount!(So is that)
ANNUAL: $79.95 for 12 months -- 33% discount! (That's 80 and its the cheapest one of the three)
I think they are falsely calling it a "free to play" game. I didn't think Disney would need anymore money, but I was wrong. I bet some of you out there are saying "But every online game has things that you can pay for". That is true, but those things usually don't improve on your character, they just make it look "better". Also you don't have to pay to enjoy the full game and everything they give you. If it says it free to play, then by god it must be, but in this case it is only if you want to enjoy it you must give Disney $100.
Who else finds this to be a little fishy?
I must say..The Transformers movie was well worth the $9.50 I had to pay to see it. I guess I could do a rating system thingy of some sort to tell the whole "story" on what I thought about it. Not sure how to go about it though. *thinks*.....Oh, I know what I can do.
First, Presentation, hence the look and feel of the movie.
Second, the direction. I hope you people know what that means. If not, it means how well I thought the director did. :p
Third, the story. The way the story flowed or something like that.
I guess that could be it for now. On to the "rating"-ness.
Presentation

I really liked the look and feel of this movie. As soon as the movie started, you knew that they put a lot of work into it to make it look the best as they could (and with the money they had, which they probably had enough to make three movies IMO). The look of the transformers was awsome, the way they transformed looked f@#$ing flawless (IMO). They put so much work into the smallest of details. Like what would happen if they where to transform while moving and what would happen when the tires touched. So much more details then that to catch at the speed in which they were made to transform. I even heard they worked on like a 2 second part of the movie for like half a month. Also I heard that the whole movie took up over 20 tera bits of space. O_O
The feel of the movie was off the hook, you felt the danger that people were in when the baddies would attack and the exitment when the goodies came into view. I think this movie had good amount of everything in with in it. It had the suspense of a thriller in a way, also comedy while there is explosions going on around the characters. It was just a good alround feeling movie.
Well, I could go on and rant more about the presentation of the movie, but I doubt would want to read the ramblings of a "fanboy" if you want to call me that. Next I'm going to talk about the direction of the movie.
The Direction

What can I say? Its another Michael Bay movie that kicked a**. There hasn't been a movie that I've seen of his that I would say "I want my money back." Every movie I've seen that was directed by him, I loved. He has his own way of doing things and that is to blow up as much sh!t as possible and maybe add some humor into it with a little bit of emotion for the ladies, I suppose. That's what it seems to me that's what he likes to do in each and every movie I've seen him do, and to tell you the truth, I still find it refreshing everytime I see a Michael bay movie.
The Story

The story of this movie is straight forward. As would be expected for a Transformers movie. Everyone is looking for this thing called an "All Spark" and the bad guys are looking for it to destroy Earth and the good guys are trying to stop them from doing that. That all you really need to know about the story. I would say more, but I kinda don't want to give too much away and I have a hard time not giving things away, so I'll just leave it at that. Plus its like also 6am here and I'm a wee bit tired.
So that's it for my little review of the Transformers movie. Until next time. PEACE!
I love watching the good old boobtube. I can't remeber a time when I didn't have my eye guled to a televison screen or just a screen for that matter. Well, maybe when I was SUPER young and couldn't concept the idea of a moving picture with this energy called sound that would match up with each other. Anyway, I do remeber when I was just a wee little lad. I don't even think I was even in first grade at this point, but not to get sidetracked. I remeber the shows that I would just love to watch when I got the chance to watch TV. My fav shows were:The adventures of Pete and Pete, Ren & Stimpy, Silute Your Shorts, Guts, all the old early 90s shows on Nickelodeon, The Simpsons. There is a funny story that I must tell. A freind of my mom's wouldn't let her kids watch either The Simpsons or Ren & Stimpy, I can't really remember which one, but she would let them watch Bevis and Butthead. Anight that just silly?
So now on to the shows that I watch now I guess. I love watching(from a-z):
American Chopper,American Dad!,Aqua Teen Hunger Force,Avatar: The Last Airbender,Bleach,The Boondocks,CSI,Chappelle's Show,Death Note,Dragonball Z,Family Guy,Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends,The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,Futurama,Heroes,Kim Possible,Law & Order,MADtv,Miami Ink,MythBusters,Numb3rs,One Piece,Reno 911!,Robot Chicken,The Simpsons,South Park,SpongeBob SquarePants, and finally Yu Yu Hakusho.
I do watch mroe then just that. those are just the ones that I could find on the top 100 lists.
Well, until the next time. See you around.
Where shall I begin? I guess I could go through my whole history of my life and my music choices, but that would take too long and I don't really remember all of it. I guess I'll start it off at the age of....I don't know 10 or 12. Those were the days that I listened to this form of music that I can only describe as mind numbing. That form of "music" is what lots in my circle of friends like to call "cRAP". Yes, believe it or not, I use to listen to rap(and other popular in the day music). It sickens me to think about it now a days. How the hell could I enjoy something like that? I had it all the slang, the big puffy coats. I thought it was the best art form out there. I would listen to people like: DMX, Juvinille, Eminem, Jay-z, and the list goes on. By the age of 15 I went to a new school, met new people, and the people I became friends with were telling me that I should come to the "light side" of the music industry. Since I was stuck in the "dark side" for so long, I didn't convert so easyly as they wanted me to. It wasn't until my sophomore year in High-school that I saw the light. My reason for going from "cRAP" to other forms of music, such as: Techno, Heavy metal, and some industrial, was because I saw the way people that listen to rap act like and they way my buddies that listen to other forms of music acted and I like the others forms of music WAY better then rap. Now that I've been converted to the "light side", I listen to such bands as: AC/DC, A Dozen Furies, All That Remains, A Perfect Circle, Arctic Monkeys, As I Lay Dying Atreyu Between the Buried and Me, Bleed the Sky, Bullet For My Valentine, Children of Bodom, Coheed & Cambria, Death from Above 1979, Disturbed, DJ Scooter, Dragonforce, Every Time I Die,Glassjaw, Godsmack, Gorillaz, Haste the Day, Horse the Band, Job For a Cowboy, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Lisa Lashes, Marilyn Manson, Megadeth, Metallica, Mudvayne, Mushroomhead,Nine Inch Nails,Norma Jean, Pantera, Primus, Protest the Hero, Rage Against the Machine, Sepultura, Slipknot, Static-X, Sublime, System of a Down, The Agony Scene, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Bled, The Doors, The Fall of Troy, The Smashing Pumpkins, Through the Eyes of the Dead, Tool, Trivium, Underoath, Wolfmother, and finally Zao. Even though I might listen to some bad bands, most of them I love with all me heat and soul.
Well, until next time.
