Apocalypto - I never really had interest in this movie before.. but Lucas suggested it to me that I watch it. So I rented it from Netflix and OH WOW did I really enjoy it..!!! It was such a long movie but I didn't even care. In fact, I wanted more! I got so hooked into it and I couldn't take my eyes off the screen for nothing. Great film..!!

Vantage Point - This was a very interesting movie.. and different. Had alot of great actors who starred in it too, which made it even better. I love Dennis Quaid

Event Horizon - A few people I know raved about this one telling me to watch it. I don't understand why. Didn't like it much.. and the gore effect was rather cheesy. It wasn't that bad that I couldn't finish it.. cuz I did watch it until the end.

I also watched The Eye and When A Stranger Calls.. both of which I've seen before.

I know Independence Day isn't until tomorrow, but I won't be around much the next several days so I'm making a blog today to wish all my American friends a safe and happy holiday weekend..!!

I just got Rock Band yesterday and already beat it on easy. I still have some bonus songs to play and unlock.. then I'm going to start it on medium maybe on Wednesday. This game so far is soooo much easier than GH3.. and I love alot of the songs in this game..!! I think one day this week I'll play them both in the same day, and make a list of pros and cons of each game.. what I like and don't like, etc.

Yesterday I got a new low brain age score ..24..!!! I'm only 4 years away from getting 20...!! Today I got a 30 though >__> Some days I have a harder time concentrating than others. I'm still very happy with getting a 24.. and I'm proud of myself ^____^

I did some video game shopping today. Best Buy sent me a $5 rewards coupon so I ended up purchasing Mario Party 8 from there. I LOVE Mario Party games.. and I'm really anxious to play it with the Wii Remote. This will be a new.. and hopefully fun experience

Then I went over to Gamestop where I had reserved GH Aerosmith and had a $13.40 credit towards it. Well, they had ONE copy of Rock Band left so I decided to get that instead. I used an additional $19.00 store credit I had.. and traded in MP DS which they gave me $15.00 for. I also reserved GH4 for $5.00. Total for the game and the reservation.. $19.09. Grand total for the 2 games and the reservation.. $67.90. Not bad seeing Rock Band is $60 alone..!!

The reason I decided not to get GH Aerosmith is because with GH4 coming out soon, I'd rather just have that.. and the song selection in Rock Band appeals to me more. Plus Lucas just got this game yesterday with the drums so we can rock together I'll get it one day when there is a price drop in the future.

For yesterday and today my new Brain Age score is now 25..!! Just when I think I'm not going to get any lower, I do it

I played Boom Blox for like 5 or 6 hours today. I must say that is one addictive game. The game is 50% complete already Can't wait to spend another day finishing it. Using the Wii remote with this is freaking awesome. Trying to solve the puzzles is really fun.. although a couple of them have me stumped. Most every puzzle I have gold on.. only a few silver, and a couple bronze. I'm thinking of when I get the last adventure done, I'll go back through and see if I can get gold on them all. If not I'm not worried about it. At least I can solve them to unlock the next puzzles so I can move forward.

Still haven't received Mario Party 8 yet >__> I'm hoping it comes tomorrow. I don't understand why these games didn't come in at the same time seeing they were shipped the same exact day. If I don't get it Monday, I'll definitely be contacting them.

One Missed Call ( 2008 ) - I was hoping this movie wouldn't be a flop.. and it turned out not to be. I've seen the original Japanese version at least twice before and it was ok. I really liked the remake better, which is very rare that happens.

El Espinazo del diablo aka The Devil's Backbone - Yes another Guillermo del Toro film, and although this one wasn't as good as Pan's Labyrinth or The Orphange.. it was still pretty damn good. The ending was awesome..!! If you're a fan of del Toro definitely check this one out.

Vanishing Point (1971) - Don't ask me what I was thinking when I decided to rent this movie >__> Very lame.

10,000 BC -This movie wasn't so bad. I've heard alot of negative opinions on it, but you know me.. I like to see things for myself and form my own opinion. The only things that bothered me about this movie is how some of them spoke English. Alot of the other tribes spoke in tribal language and it had subtitles. That was at least cool. But imo they ALL should've been like that. Another thing I couldn't get past was how there were horses Everything else though was good.. it had great edge of your seat action. and I really loved the ending..!!!

The Spiderwick Chronicles - Cute movie.. also liked the ending. But I didn't get into it like I did with the Harry Potter movies, or Narnia. It was just ok.

The Sickhouse - I saw a preview for this one on the One Missed Call DVD.. and it looked interesting. It starred the girl from Jeepers Creepers and for some reason I like her. I decided to rent it thinking I'd be disappointed and waste 2 hours and 10 minutes of my time.. but I was wrong. It actually turned out to be a decent movie. I'm not really big on demonic or satanic type movies.. those scare the crap out of me. It sure was scary though, so it sucked me in and I watched the whole damn thing, lol
