  Mowing lawns can be dangerous...

  This morning I was doing the usual things I do on every Saturday: woke up, ate, watch cartoons, then get ready to mow lawns. I had finished my grandparents's yard, and I was almost finished with my aunt's when she decided to unfurl a flags in the middle of the yard while I was mowing, so I stopped.

  Now, my aunt was watching my cousin's dog while she found a house since the apartment won't let her keep. My aunt doesn't have that great a relationship with the dog, but I was able to just walk up to it and pet it, so it liked me.

  Anyway, I stopped mowing while my aunt did her thing with the flags and went over to pet the dog. It was going well - the dog didn't growl or bare teeth - but before I knew, my face was in the dog's teeth. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt and the dog simply let go; unsurprisingly, I was bleeding pretty good. So I walk up to my and simply tell her, "The dog just bit me."

  I was calm about it, and didn't want her to panic, but I guess the blood running down my face freaked her out, so I washed up and was rushed home. My parents looked at it, saw that the dog had punctured the skin pretty good by my lips (the dog managed to get a bit of my neck, but it was as bad as my lip), so my dad took me up to the local RediMed to get it looked at.

  It was about 3:00 by the time they started. While I was there, I was given a (I'm gonna butcher it) Tetnas shot in case of infection. Since it was my first stitch (I only got 1), the doctor explained it. "Well, first I'm going to knock you out with a hammer, and then...it's all downhill from there." Seriously. He's a funny guy. He even told me to stop bleeding while he was sowing my wound. I didn't feel a thing the entire time.

  Unfortunately for the dog, one of the nurses reported the biting, so the dog is currently in quarintine to be watched. For 10 days. In a shelter. And my aunt has to pay a hundred dollars and the end of the 10 day period. Really, the dog wasn't aggresive. Heck, it liked me more than my aunt. I think it was a play bite.

  Well, either way, I got my first stitch today, and I'm on a prescription for a reaon I'm not clear on. Dang, I hope we don't get I.D. pictures for school soon.

  The Dark Knight

  Finally got to see a movie before school starts, so I went to see The Dark Knight. A pretty good movie with awesome and somewhat creepy acting on Heath Ledger's part. Never seen someone play an evil clown like that before...and I will forever be afraid of them; at least, more so than usual.

  Meteor Shower

  Last night I went out to the local reservoir to watch a meteor shower with my family. I only got to see one, though. Everytime I stopped looking up, someone would see one, and I'd miss it!

  I start highschool this Wednesday. Met up with some of my friends, but for the most part there are people I don't know in my schedule.
