How is it "American Hoorah" when the film concedes that a) the torture was ineffective and b) they were failing over their decade long search? Don't you remember how they were blasted by the Mark Strong character? If the ending of the film is anything to go by, it couldn't be further from "Team America".
@biggest_loser Well of course they aren't going to advocate torture fully. That would just be completely unsubtle. While Bigalow attempts to portray the events honestly, some details in the film just really were off. Like when it was said that no one is Pakistan drives an SUV; everyone in Pakistan drives a fvcking SUV. I understand taking liberations and having some creative freedom, but sometimes it just came across as forced. The first half of the film lacked decent pacing in my eyes as well, it really picked up in the last 45 minutes though.
This may sound like picking at straws, but there were a lot of these little gripes that made me not enjoy the film as much as I thought I would.
