I played SMG today

So I played Super Mario Galaxy at EB today. Wow, what an experience. It's nearly flawless. For the amount of flipping you do the camera is amazing. The graphics are beautiful as well and the Wiimote speaker usage is superb!

I can't wait until next week

Justin's Most Excellent TV Adventure. ch. 1-2

 Chapter 1. Don't Call Me A Peahead

I got up early that morning. If I had known the series of events that would stem from that day, I would never have gotten up. Well there were some good things that came of it, but I'm jumping the gun. My name is Justin Caine and I'm from Epsilon 5, a small planet in the Twix galaxy. I had just turned 17 the day before and my parents were sleeping in. I got up and strolled to the bathroom to take a relaxing shower. When I finished, I stepped out of the shower and I looked in the mirror and grinned. My lime green hair had a really good wave to it that morning. I was basically your average guy, nothing too remarkable yet not unattractive. Now fully dressed in my purple jumpsuit I left  a note to my parents and went uptown. I decided to go into a retro café, a joint that celebrated the 2000 years of the MIlky Way galaxy. Did I forget to mention that  the year was 4579? I ordered one of Earth's weird drinks called Mountain Dew and it was disgusting! Nothing like our refreshing Crab Juice. It was then that my best friend Amber came in, this week she had pink hair. I should mention that several hundred years ago a strange mutation in the genetics of humans allows us to change our hair color at will.  I had known Amber my entire life, she was one of those friends that you could tell anything in complete confidence. We had a weird relationship, we had always been close but since we turned sixteen Amber has really wanted to take our relationship "to the next level" as she put it. It's not that I didn't want to, I mean Amber is great we have a lot in common and she is extremely attractive. Yet I was afraid that this could potentially ruin our friendship beyond repair and I didn't want to risk that. "So, do you you feel any older today Justy?" I absolutely hated it when she called me that which she had been doing since we were very little. "I hate it when you call me that. And no I don't feel any older." "What did you wish for last night?" Boy was that a loaded question. She did everything but bat her eyelashes at me. "Well, I can't tell you or it won't come true now would it?" That was our game, she would try to trap me and I would cleverly find my way out. I knew it was just a matter of time before I lost the game and I would either have to put up or shut up. We sat down in a booth and chatted for a bit I then suggested that we watch some Earth TV which turned out to be the worst idea of my life by far. I flipped some channels and man do Earthlings watch some strange stuff! I saw a black man in cowboy boots grinding mud into a white couch, I then saw a boy asking strangely enough for someone to eat his shorts. Then something caught my eye, it was a show with a weird kid named Andy Milonakis. Amber and I sat watching transfixed at the strange antics of this guy. Did all Earthlings act this way? He even put a bag of frozen peas on his head. "What a peahead!" Amber remarked, I started to laugh but something strange was happening. The crazy boy stopped singing and got directly in front of the camera. "Didn't I tell you not to call me a peahead!? Now I'll make you pay!!!" The boys image left the screen and the TV shut it self off. "What was that about?" "I don't know Amber, maybe we should get out of here." But no sooner had I said this then the TV flared back up. The boys image did not return instead a swirling vortex was on the screen, but this was no TV show. The salt and pepper shakers on the table begin to rattle and I could sense something bad was about to happen. "Yeah, let's go!" I walked out of the booth and looked behind me just in time to see Amber being pulled backwards towards the TV. I ran forward and grabbed her hands and pulled with all my might desperate to pull her to safety. But it wasn't working, whatever force had her it was definitely stronger than I was.  I wondered why the hell anybody wasn't trying to help us. I screamed for help but people didn't even turn their heads in our direction. Amber was halfway in the TV by now and I didn't know what to do. "Just let me go Justin! Save yourself!" "Never! I won't let you go because I..." but at that moment Amber was yanked free of my hands and was pulled into the abyss. There was only one thing I could do. I ran my hand through my hair and pitched myself forward into the TV just as it closed up behind me.

Chapter 2: A Simple Proposition

Meanwhile, in the back alley of a pudding factory, a humanoid pitcher of liquid was talking to a black man who was ravenously eating chocolate pudding. "OH YEAH... I just remembered why I came to you. As you know the Peppers family has ruled over TV Land since the year 2000, and old characters are starting to fade... I want you, Bill Cosby, to assassinate Brian Peppers, the current ruler of TV Land." Cosby savored the last drop of pudding as he began to speak. "Well, Yah seeeeee.... I need the chocolate PUDDENG.... So I can load my puddeng SNIPER... and then I need more PUDDENG... so I can survive so far from the puddeng FACTORY... could yah get me the PUDDENG... so I could do the job, bawh awh awh" The pitcher grew a smile. "OH YEAH! I can get you the pudding. My name's Kool-Aid Man by the way, and it's been a pleasure doing business with you." Cosby had started back on his pudding after Kool-Aid Man said OH YEAH, so the big, red pitcher head for the local firearms store.

Flea Market Suprises

Well went to the Flea Market and picked up a steal. Tales of Destiny II MINT! Set me back sixty bucks but that's a steal if you ask me. Guy had some impressive offerings, Lunar Silver Star Story Complete, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Nights into Dreams, Illusion of Gaia, Grandia, Super Metroid. I laughed becuase I had most of these games but if I didn't I'd be shelling out some cash on them I'll tell you that much. Ridiculous the things you can find at a flea market.

GTA IV Trailer reaction
So, I'm not the biggest GTA fan, I've played them all. But never enjoyed them as much as some people seem to. They get fairly boring after a while in my opinion. But as I sit and wait for the trailer, the countdown clock ends and low and behold Rockstars page locks up. Can't say I'm suprised. So anohter 20 minutes of waiting until a youtube link is put out. I watch the trailer and have to say I'm impressed not only graphically but at the Look of "New York" It looks very faithful. I also really like the idea as playing as a Russian immigrant coming to the country. Will I get bored with IV like all the others? Most likely but still should be fun to play. I'll buy it if only to spite Jack Thompson

WOO HOO! Old School Badge
Finally broke down and added more of my collection after seeing Silchas badge. Bear in mind this is not even near my complete collection but apparently it was enough to warrant the badge. I feel accomplished. hehe
