In other news I have purchased Wii Fit! Sharing the cost between me, my sis and my mum. Its definitely an interesting game and me and my sister have had some competition trying to beat each others scores/time. Though I do question if the games doing some of its exercises right. The game definitely gives me 'mourning soreness' when I do the Muscle training and the Hula-Hoop but I'm not too sure about the Yoga. Isn't Yoga meant to be relaxing and 'flowing'? I swear trying to do some of those poses right is more frustrating then Mario Kart
I think that's about it, have a nice day!
There would be pictures in this but....you know...Glichspot?

"The only pirate adventure that asks the question: What's sharper? Your sword? Or your wit?"
Now, this is a strange game to talk about because in gameplay terms the game, apart from certain "sword fighting" chapter (later), is very much a standard old adventure game where you talk to people and use items with other objects/people. While it does said features very well it's not what I, or as I suspect must people remember it for.
I remember it as the funniest game ever made.
The game starts with the main character, Guybrush Threepwood, sitting in a bumper car in the middle of the ocean, documenting in his dairy what I assume happened at the end of the last game (you don't have to play the previous game to understand this one by the way). Moments later you are picked up by a ship which is captained by the villain of the game, the evil zombie pirate Lechuck!
After sinking Lechucks ship (by cutting a canon restraint rope...then firing) you are trapped inside the ships treasure hold, you escape by using a priceless diamond you find to scratch one of the windows open. After making it to the shore, Guybrush finds his girlfriend Elaine is waiting for him and at that point he proposes to her using diamond ring he found in the treasure hold. Unfortunately as Guybrush soon finds out the ring is cursed, and turns Elaine into a gold statue.
The main goal of the game is pretty much consists of trying to get her 'de-goldifide' (Hey! I invented a word!
).
Anyway, with the general gist of the plot out of the way I'd like to talk a bit about the "sword fighting" I mention earlier. Instead of fighting using your 'mad skillz' you defeat your enemy by using insults. Let me explain, after boarding an enemies ship you engage them in sword fighting. The fight starts with the pirate (or you) firing off an insult (You're as repulsive as a monkey in a negligee!). You (or them) in turn have to give a counter insult that rhymes with the enemies insult (I look THAT much like you're fiancee?). It's a completely stupid way to fight...In a good way!
Talking about what makes this game good is hard in the same way that talking about what make Phoenix Wright good is hard. Both games are adventure games in which you talk and show/use items to get your way through the game. However, I believe it's the charm of the character and the great feeling you get when you solve the games puzzles that make them very enjoyable...and in the case of Monkey Island, the hilarity helps as well.
Thank you very much for reading! I'll leave you with some of the great quotes from The Curse of Monkey Island. In case your wondering, Murray is a talking skull who has recently lost his body. ![]()
Guybrush Threepwood: You're as repulsive as a monkey in a negligee!
Thin Pirate: I look THAT much like you're fiancee?
Guybrush Threepwood: What's your name?
Slappy Cromwell: Cromwell, Slappy Cromwell. It's not my real name actually. My agent told me my given name just didn't have star quality.
Guybrush Threepwood: What was your given name?
Slappy Cromwell: Rex Fortune, Adventure Seeker.
Elaine Marley: Let's face it, LeChuck. You are an evil, foul-smelling, vile, codependent villain and that's just not what I'm looking for in a romantic relationship right now.
LeChuck: Darn yer riddles, ya saucy female! What d'ya mean?
[Guybrush meets a talking skull]
Murray: I'm a powerful demonic force! I'm the harbinger of your doom! And the forces of darkness will applaud me as I STRIDE through the gates of hell carrying your head on a pike!
Guybrush Threepwood: Stride?
Murray: All right then, roll! ROLL through the gates of hell. Must you take the fun out of everything?
Guybrush Threepwood: How can you see without eyeballs?
Murray: How can you walk around without a brain? Some things no one can answer.
Guybrush Threepwood: You're about as fearsome as a doorstop.
Murray: Is it a really EVIL-looking doorstop?
Guybrush Threepwood: [sigh] Never mind.
Haggis McMutton: Me given name is 'Heart-Liver-And-Kidneys-Boiled-In-The-Stomach-Of-The-Animal McMutton.'
Guybrush Threepwood: Oh, so your parents were expecting a girl, then.
Haggis McMutton: Aye.
Guybrush Threepwood: You can count on me, Wally. Just as soon as I defeat LeChuck, rescue Elaine, set all the monkeys free, and ride the Madly Rotating Buccaneer, I'll come back to release you!
Murray: Something tells me you're not taking me very seriously.
Guybrush Threepwood: No, no I am.
Murray: Then let me hear you scream in terror.
Guybrush Threepwood: I'm too scared to say anything.
Murray: Ha ha!
[laughs evilly]
Guybrush Threepwood: [after you try and combine the nail with the magnet] Neat, a magnetic nail, completely worthless, but neat.

This is just essentially a test for this; tell me what you think
And I would put the answer down here but I'm sure the comment section will do that for me
pill922: What is your most anticipated game of 2008?
Rock Band, as a person that has greatly enjoyed the Guitar Hero I think it sounds like a sweet concept, a the fact that my whole family wants in on it only sweetens the deal...now if it would only come out on PS3...![]()
Jpgalindo: do you know that you were the first person to write in one of my blogs?
I did not! And to think how many comments you get in your blog now...![]()
stephanime: What made you decide to be my friend?
Interesting blogs and occasionally commenting in mine is usually how I decide to track people. I think it was the former first and then the later came along soon enough ![]()
Snipe_You_Out: What inspired you to interview people.
Basically, I was trying to think up of feature for my blog, however I wanted it to be something that would involve the users of Gamespot. Then it hit me, what better way to do this than too interview? ![]()
Cold, or hot?
Both are annoying. But I'll go for cold because you can best it by wearing a lot of clothing ![]()
AndyWilliams24: Will you donate me your PS3?
:pumps shotgun: For your own sake...don't say that again!
5_LD_5: How old do you think I am?
Hmm...ok. I'm going to take wild stab at...26?
Thorpe89: What is the best movie with Kiefer Sutherland in?
The only one I'm actually aware of is The Sentinel. So guess that ![]()
Princesszelda: Who is your favourite actress?
Wow! Never thought about this...hmm. I remember liking Meg Ryan a lot but I haven't seem a movie she's featured in in a long time.
What's the worst game you've ever played?
The worst game I've played is a Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. I bought it as a kid and this was the time when I would not stop buying Movie tie-ins...
fionnbharr: What's on your bookshelf?
Not a lot to be honest, just the first four Harry Potter books and a Lee Child novel. I also have Six Dinner Sid which is a story about a cat who has six dinners ![]()
What are your 3 favourite albums?

GamerDude911: Who is your favourite actor?
Tom Hanks. No contest. Just for Forest Gump alone, it was one of the funniest and, as a guy with a similar disability to Mr Gump, most touching films I have ever seen, and Tome Hanks played the part beautifully. The guy deserved that Oscar. I would also like to quickly mention a film called The Green Mile, the only film ever to make me cry...![]()

Yeah, he lives Drury Lane right? ![]()
s0njas0n: What's the last book you read (not school related)?
