    And Then There Was 5...

Latest excerpt from my latest entry in The Common Sense Chronicle:

    "Let me being by saying....OMGWTFBBQ!

For those of you who missed it, baseball history occurred at Fenway Park tonight. Boston Red Sox rookie Clay Buchholz pitched a no-hitter against the Balitmore Orioles and became the first rookie in team history to do so. With a dazzling array of pitches, the baby-faced 23-year-old, whittled down Baltimore's bats the entire game. His pitching line is simply excellent:

    9.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 9 K, 0 HR

Now with a 2-0 record, Buchholz has a minuscule 1.80 ERA and those in Red Sox Nation (including myself) can only begin to imagine what this young man has in store for us.
    "

All I can say was that my buddies and I were in shock and awe at the end of the game.

    It's a...Playskool Guitar?!

An excerpt from my latest entry in The Common Sense Chronicle:

"Now musical taste is all relative, and quite honestly, I don't want to get into that debate. If you really want to, head on over to each game's respected forums. Sometimes, that's all people do; bash each other's musical tastes. However, I just have to address one issue that people have mentioned on various blogs and forums for at least Guitar Hero III. People have been complaining about rap making its way into the game with the inclusion of Beastie Boys - "Sabotage." Unfounded fears of, say 50-Cent or Jay-Z getting into the game. Granted those fears have been few and far between, but somebody please explain to me how either one of those artists would make any sense in either game? The reason why the Beastie Boys are making the cut in Guitar Hero III is because that specific song has roots in rock. Apparently people somehow missed out on their song "Fight for Your Right." If that isn't at the very least "rock-esque", then I don't know what is. "Sabotage" follows the path that "Fight for Your Right" set back decades ago. If people want to complain about the lyrics, then what about Rage Against the Machine? Last I checked, they're rock, right? All in all, it really boils down to the individual song in many cases and particularly the music in the song. In the end it's really about what's fun to play in the game as a song."
