All About Paul20181
Do you know how long it's been since Gran Turismo 4 came out? Anyone? Febuary of 2005. I thought that they were going to release GT5 this quarter of the year but apparently they pushed the date to the end of this year. We don't need 3D graphics jumping out at us. We don't want those gimicky advances in techonolgy. I just want this interation of Gran Turismo to be released. It will be over 5 years since the last full game came out. This is unbelievable. Look I don't want Polyphony Digital to release a new game every year like Madden. But stop making games like Tourist Trophy and just concenrate on your bread and butter.
The CES videos look amazing. But still. This is a major exclusive for the PS3 and they are just takin their sweet time releasing it. I just hope that it's worth the nearly six years of devolpment.
As the holidays loom and people from all over the country prepare to blow their hard earned money for 'loved ones' and 'family' I get to thinking. What is so special about the holidays now? I'm a religious man so to me it's the birth of Jesus. But what about everyone else that isn't religious? I mean come on, you can't honestly say that it's the family times together. Everyone in your family while be stressed the f*** out because of all the shopping and traveling trying to make the holidays perfect, by thinking you got your two year old something special that he won't even remember ten minutes later, for cooking the ham and turkey to perfection.
I don't understand why you don't just celeberate the holidays in your own particular way that's easy for everyone. Prime example is my family. Every year for as long as I can remember, we would get up on Christmas at about 8AM, open our presents from everyone in the immediate family, then we would get in the car and drive an hour to go to my grandfathers house(for my dad's side of the family), eat brunch (which usually comprises of scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, and orange juice), then open our presents at my grandfathers. After my grandfathers house we would get back in the car to drive another hour to my grandmothers (on my mom side of the family), to eat Christmas dinner (everything you expect from Christmas dinner), then open our presents, and after the presents we would eat dessert. At this point on Christmas it's about 6PM but it's not over by a long shot. My family get's back in the car and drives BACK to my grandfathers house to eat ANOTHER Christmas dinner and eat more dessert. At this point in the day it's about 9PM and I still haven't had a single moment to myself to just chill. We then get back into the car to go back home which takes considerably longer because I live in Northern Virginia and it's a **** to get from Southern Maryland to my house. So I don't get back to my parents house until about 11 to 11:30. So it's a long day that I don't enjoy all that much and I have been doing for 23 years. (I'm 24 you see.)
I do see cousins I love very much but there are aunts and uncles that I hate. I mean really hate. And I have a feeling they hate me just as much because of the 'career' choices I have made. I just graduated college (something all my aunts and uncles have failed to do). I just can't wait for that year when I don't have to travel all over creation to see people I don't really want to see.
21Jul 09With the economy the way it is in today's world people are constantly on the lookout for the best deal and value. See but there in lays the rub. What is the best deal and value? I find that people are very opinionated on everything weather it be politics, cars, and even American Idol. I still don't understand why people constantly bust balls over the stuff that you will have no chance of changing. I hate American Idol I will always hate American Idol and there isn't a damn thing you guys can do about it. It's the same thing with video games. I pretty much did the same thing with anyone that plays video games in my age demo. I started with an NES with a few choice games, then I got my SNES (which by the way I still think is the best gaming system on the planet cause I still play mine), Sega, Playstation One, N64, and all the rest. Now lets fast forwards to today. I'm 23 and I have a Playstation 3. My friends are always asking why I got the the PS3 and not the 360. Because it was my choice. Not yours, my parents, mine. I waited the whole year for the PS3 to come out after the 360 dropped. I heard things and evaluated which I would purchase when that day came. I even remember the exact date November 2, 2007, as my cousin got married about 6 hours before I went to my local GameStop and dropped the cash.
I love my desicion. I think the Playstation is a wonderful piece of engineering. I don't care if the exclusives are none exsistant. Lemme just ask you guys a question. How many of the 360 owners play modern warfare? World at War? Assassins Creed? Need for Speed? Every sports game on the planet? I can get all those on the playstation and still clock in over a hundred hours in less than two weeks. It doesn't matter. Is what I'm trying to say here. Everyone in video gaming pretty much plays the same games even if you are a PC gamer (but even that doesn't apply all the time, Starcraft 2 here I come!) All I'm saying is leave the hate at the door everyone makes choices in life. I went with a PS3, and at least I don't have to worry about the Red Ring of Death.
