What Happened with the little Blue guy??
I'm From Brazil, sorry for misspellings and others grammatical mistakes
When I was only Four years old, my father Rented for the very old NES, a game of a little blue guy that shot balls of energy on his robot enemies, that game by my recordings was named Megaman 4. With my 4 years old I couldn't even come close to a boss fight, always dieing on the sub bosses. I didn't had the abilities needed to be a great player, C' mon, A four year old kid still hasn't learned the basics to play a videogame, but that game was so entertaining, the music so fun, and that dream to fight against a robot boss and capture a new weapon was so exciting.
The years have passed, I'm 22 years old now, and I grew up loving the megaman series (a lot of others games too), I was a great fan, but never had the money to buy the megaman series games.
Today with the internet, and playstation, I've Played Every game of the megaman series that I've could Reach
Megaman 1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6; 7; 9(Rockman & Forte)
Megaman X 1;2;3;4 and 5
Never played the X6 version to the X8 version
Now my question is... What happened to that little blue guy that I knew??
He went to the gameboy? Nope... that isn't the megaman that I knew... it's just an Character that took the megaman name
He Died?
Maybe yes, Megaman is Dead...
no! I don't want to accept it.... yes, is hard to deal, is like saying that Mario or Sonic is dead,
but I would go further.... He assumed another form... a form of a Big Guy in a Red Cape
Who?
Yes, The megaman Series's spirit still lives, not as that Little Blue guy we once knew, the spirit still lives on another Capcom Game, But he assumed a form of a Half Human, Half Demon.
The notorious Demon Hunter
Dante.
I think that fact is self-explanatory, but I still need to explain myself
Lets Compare the games
Megaman
2D
Dynamic Action
Great Controls
New weapons each boss fight
Bosses weaknesses against some other bosses weapons
A lot of normal enemies
Great Characters (Megaman, Bass(Forte), Zero, Protoman, and etc...)
The classic stage of fighting all the bosses before the last confrontation
Epic battles
Now on the Devil May Cry side
3D
Dynamic Action
Great controls
New weapons on each boss fights (devil arms)
Bosses weaknesses against some devil arms
A lot of normal enemies
Great Characters (Dante, Nero, Vergil, Lady and etc...)
The classic stage of fighting all the bosses before the last confrontation
Epic Battles
Did you guys get the point?
okay...
one game is 2d another one is 3d
The rest is almost the same in every aspect
Yes... Capcom Killed Megaman, but he was Resurrected as a Skilled Devil Hunter Named Dante.
I will always remember you Megaman, but that missing spot inside my hearth is now filled again.
Thanks Devil May Cry for existing in my life.- Posted May 6, 2008 1:19 pm GMT
