Back I Am
I'm back again!
I left friday morning to go on vacation, and returned last night. I never got a chance to write another blog on E3, and every one knows anyways: E3 sucked. So yea, I'll be chilling on gamespot for the rest of the summer. That's about it, I'm back.
Oh, and I've been listening to this album, it's really good.

Hooray for E3! Part One
It's E3 time again. Yay
.Nintendo's press conference is tomorrow morning, make sure to tune in right away!
Ok, so far I've seen a few things. First, the Wii Precision attachment.

This thing is supposedly going to give the Wii Remote 1:1 precision with the console. This is a huge deal. As most gamers have noticed, the Wii remote does offer pretty good motion control, but there's a delay, and it's all relative to the position it was in before. For a lot of motion heavy games, this doesn't work well at all. The Wii remote's movement at that point is basically another button. Most gamers and company's have ended up giving up on this because a less accurate button (movement) doesn't go well with games. If it works as well as it should, it will make all motion controlled games a ton better.Next, I clicked on the Microsoft Press Conference link on the front page to see if it was live. It was, and I saw 3 seconds before turning it off. I hope I don't get an emblem for it, I only want Nintendo emblems
. I tuned into the rest of that conference on G4. My few impressions are that they are copying Nintendo in several ways. They basically have Miis now, and they tried to advertise more casual games. They did this by saying that most of their games are either 'E' or 'T'... I guess that's all they could say about there games.... Anyways that was about it for special stuff for that conference. The rest were games I don't care about or am already going to get for the Wii (GH4). Oh and the Rock Band 2 tracklist is frickin' amazing!!! I might have to get that game as well just because the tracklist is that good.Nintendo's conference is tomorrow.... that's when all the good stuff will (read: better) happen.E

Wii Gaming and RPGs
Well I'll be honest, I'm having a ton of trouble getting into Okami. It just lacks motivation. I can't find myself wanting to do anything in the game, because the combat is easy and tedious, and I haven't found a real reward yet. I'll come back to it eventually, and maybe I'll feel like playing it then.
Right now, though, I've been playing a ton of Paper Mario. I bought 2000 Wii Points, and wasn't sure where to spend them. Sin and Punishment was a pretty good choice, but I haven't been in the mood to play those kinds of games lately. I wanted one with a good story and memorable characters. I wanted something different, though, and that made it tough. I looked at Neutopia, and went right on, and was very tempted to get LoZ: aLttP. I've already almost beaten that game for the SNES, though, and haven't completed the original on my Wii yet, so I passed that one up. I ended up picking Paper Mario, because I only got a chance to play it for a few hours in the past.Boy was that a good choice, I've played it for almost 7 hours since I bought it yesterday afternoon, and I'm having a ton of fun. I'm also trying to do everything there is to do, so in those 7 hours I've only completed the first chapter. It looks like this one will last me quite a while. Then, when SMRPG comes out, I'll get that (I don't care that I've already beaten it and could play it right now on my SNES). If I don't feel like playing RPGs I can always go back to Ikaruga or Okami. I also got 120 stars in Super Mario Galaxy finally, and might go after some more stars for Luigi if I get bored, although it's definitely not a top priority because it stil is the same game with a different character, so I'd rather play ones I haven't beaten first.
That's it for now. Oh, one more thing. I've been eyeing the previews for Diablo 3, and might actually play through the first 2 Diablos now. I have the first one sitting on my shelf right now, I was just never in the mood to play it. I also have to complete all the campaigns in Star Craft and the expansion and Warcraft 3 and the expansion, so you might see me going through those as well. Blizzard is a truly great company.
Great, I just remembered something else. I joined the Little King's Story Union, and would encourage all Wii owners who are remotely interested in RPGs or RTS games to check it out. I'm really excited for the game, and the union looks like it could be pretty cool once it gets started up.
That's all for sure now. Peace out!- Posted Jun 29, 2008 3:53 pm GMT

Excite Truck
"Solid" Even with solid controls and a good sense of speed, Excite Truck lacks the fun and replayability of it's predecessors. Continue »
