  Bionic Commando - Rearmed

  I found this one over at Gametrailers. I have to be honest, I never actually played this game, but watching this video makes me wish I had. I have many friends who think this a cult classic. It's pretty easy to understand why, great concept, nice 2D side scolling action. The switch from old to new in this is amazing, I get a smile every time I see it. Gaming really has come a long ways. Can't wait for this to hit XBLA/PSN.

  NVIDIA 9 series to launch soon

  Both DigiTimes and Engadget have speculated that NVIDIA will soon launch its next gen GPU. Rumor is the new series will include D9E 65nm processor DirectX 10.1 and Shader Model 4.1

  

  At CES 08 NVIDIA announced its new Hybrid SLI technology which enables the NVIDIA motherboard and GPU to work cooperatively for increased performance and decreased energy consumption.

  NVIDIA claims that "Hybrid Power is most useful in situations where graphics horsepower is not required, such as high definition movie playback on a notebook platform or simple e-mail or Internet browsing on a desktop. It is also beneficial for those users who want a quiet operating state with reduced thermals and noise. For notebooks, Hybrid Power can also dramatically extend battery life by up to 3 hours. When a game or application is started that requires the additional 3D horsepower, the PC can automatically transition back to the discrete graphics cards and power up the 3D capabilities all transparent to the end user." -Nvidia.com

  The Hybrid Technology should be available next quarter.

  In the mean time, according to Engadget, Intel has delayed and raised the price on its new Qx9770 quad core processors which were supposed to be available earlier this year. http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/16/intel-delaying-jacking-the-price-of-quad-core-qx9770-cpu/

  Who knows maybe a computer that can take full advantage of the crysiscrytek engine will soon be available........

  I have been lovin' the creativity of Bungie's dev team. Rocket Race on Halo3 is amazingly fun to play,and works suprisingly good, almost too good. Reading about their new Grifball game it sounds like its gonna be a blast to play....... http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=13088Halo 3 might not be a perfect game, but with the amount of sheer extra features and creative gametypes it certainly needs to be up for game of the year.
