2010 was probably one of the best years in music

Drowning Pool are back, and this album proves it

Stone Sour's latest, and perhaps greatest album so far

OK, not as good as their previous albums, but nonetheless it's a good change of pace

***k yeah. One of the best disturbed albums yet

Um, okay, maybe a disappointment, but there are songs I still enjoy in it

A bit different from Korn's previous works. But still kickass

Not only is this probably the best album with a 'Godsmack' on it, but it's also one of the best albums this year

I have mixed feelings, on one hand, it's a disappointment, and on the other, I can't stop listening to it

The only rapper I listen to, and for a reason...

As I Lay Dying are not my favorite band, but I kinda like this album

    Deftones everything else

Linkin Park officially sucks now, because this album isn't them, but whatever it is, it's good

    An album to remember

Haven't listened to enough to give my opinion, but whatever I did listen to, was superb

    'nuff said

Can't say the same for gaming however, compared to 2009, and apparently 2011, this year was pretty meh, besides God of War 3, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Gran Turismo 5, and Red Dead Redemption.

I was thinking about GS's God of War 3 review...

You know, I usually appreciate any score a good game gets, since alot of things make the choice different, that could be opinion, expectations and the criteria the reviewer uses to score a game.

But in all seriousness, I may sound like a fanboy, or biased, or you may think I have slept with Kratos, but whenever I see another review of the new upcoming game, I couldn't help but think maybe GS got a half-arsed pre-release build. Before watching this, I thought that GS gave a good score and all. But I'm sorry, even though I don't like Machnima's very lightweight reviewing system, they certainly hit the nails on the coffin with those points they proved. The extra footage they showed during the video was already enough to convince me, that God of War 3 redefines graphics, gameplay, scale, next-gen, and to top all, epicness.

Since only nothing can really be perfect, I may as well go on to give this game a 10/10, and maybe give 'nothing' a run for it's money, again.

BTW, I found this very funny joke very funny...

The night is darkest before the dawn...

OK, now this blog has absolutely nothing to do with its title. Or at least, not as much, or maybe the title just won't describe it well enough.

Man, time flies so fast; I could swear just a few days ago everyone was celebrating 2010! We're now onto the 3rd month of the new year, and while I still have my most anticipated games coming up, I must say 2010 may not live up to the way 2009 blew us all away.

First impression is the last impression, and if that first impression isn't a good one, chances are towards the end you may be disappointed as well. The first 2 months saw the coming of hotly anticipated titles, or maybe they were too hyped up.

Darksiders was a good game, it was enjoyable, nice concept and all, but it wasn't so satisfying. It made me expect more from the next game to feature "dark", Dark Void, and boy was that a disaster, at least on the PC, fly around in jetpack, **** yeah! Oh wait? It's over already? That's it? When are we going to fly again?

Then we have two games beginning with an "M", Mass Effect 2, and MAG; both are splendid games and anyone with a taste for action should buy them, especially the former. Great fun and all but wait, there's more… The 3rd S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game appears! Yahoo! That's awesome! OK, not as awesome, but it is a good series, and it is worth playing through.

Despite those three above, this year so far felt flushed out. The coming games proved that, with Dante's Inferno being the biggest rip-off of a game I've seen (second to Ghost Rider), and that too such a bleak one. For Christ sakes, leave the epic action adventure bloody mature games to the experts will ya? Following that, one of my most hyped up games comes through, AvP, and a disaster it is. It had the potential to be one of the best games this year, and like many other cheap movie-game spin-offs, it took a slip into a sewer, although however, I did enjoy the Alien and Predator campaigns.

On the contrary, Bioshock 2 delivered very well, something you would expect from a sequel to an amazing game. I already vote Big Sister the Best new character of 2010!

And yet another string of awesome games… Heavy Rain and Napoleon come through, I didn't get to play much of Heavy Rain however (sad), but I am liking the new Total War, but c'mon… Napoleon? You'd be better off with Hitler That being said, Heavy Rain was pretty nice. I was expecting a higher score from GS, but I guess it's a like it or hate it thing. Having played through Indigo Prophecy a lot, I don't think the gameplay is alien to me of Heavy Rain.

Supreme Commander 2, Bad Company 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 for PC, oh joy, amazing (hopefully) sequels. Wow, that's a lot of twos there, add to that Command and Conquer 4 and Metro 2033, that's a nice list there, something to keep me busy until my two most awaited upcoming titles…

See? I told you the title had nothing to do with anything in this blog! But I am yet to be amazed by God of War 3 and Gran Turismo 5, i.e. if it does come out this year.
