I understand and agree on your hatred for this double standards. Seems like it's just another piece of shitcake we have to digest in real life, and now also in gaming.

Raised around lots of girls, houses full of girls, and malls full of girls... Always been a passionate gamer, but it is true that some girls freak out when they lose, most quit though so they aren't a problem for long, and I usually let them win. But I know a dozen really legit gamergirls, I use every fiber of my being to try and be a good challenge, only to look like some kind of "Target" for some tutorial. I agree 100% with what you're saying, but there are plenty of "whiny" irritating "sissy" boys, that don't like losing either, and there are "sissy" girls that can't handle a loss. I've got to a point where I never go easy on girls, and it is hilarious to see girls talking about how irritating these types of gamer girls are, it literally makes my day.

I agree that gender shouldn't figure into gaming. There's no need for it. What do you think about Mrs. Violence as a gaming figure though?? 

Yup, I agree too, Because There was a time 6 years ago I was playing counter Strike 1.6 Online and suddenly a girl enters the game and announced " I am a girl so plz be easy on me" and so the guys start treating her like a nerdy chick, I was so mad at that time that I quit the game because of all this nonsense.........just want to say to all female gamers, "respect is earned, not taken".........truly speaking I have seen very few girls like you who really play games like a casual gamer, who just like to play games for the fun not for special treatment, yeah there is something I wish to tell that females in this gaming world have been given a bad image as they cant match the skill of a male gamer and also because of game developers treating females like a sex toy, (Sorry if you hurt).......infact I used to think  that female cant be gamers but now my mind has changed since I have seen the potential of female gamers and now I completely agree with your point that either male or female we are all gamers  nobody needs special treatment and I am also tired of females crying on gamespot for giving them respect.

It really doesn't matter if you're a male or female as long as you enjoy gaming, then you enjoy playing games than asking for attention just to show off that you're being cool or whatever it is. So yeah....gotta acknowledge this.

I fully endorse this rant. To some of the girl gamers out there, just play and enjoy the game, don;t expect any special treatment for being part of a certain gender.

I think her point was that some male gamers harass female ones or think them minnows just because they're girls. She wasn't really saying guys should give them special treatment. Of course, the more someone points out they're female the more chance someone'll disrespect them.
