So I finished up the new Tomb Raider... and all I can say is WOW!!!
I know, I know... I was very very very skeptical in my last blog about it... but Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix did a fantastic job on this game and for this series! At first I was not so impressed but after the first chapter of the game... it because quite clear that this was a Tomb Raider unlike any other. The graphics are simply off the chart... the storyline just keeps you wanting more, and the music... simply beautiful! I must say I really did like the weapon system and the leveling up system as well. It left me feeling as I had complete control over where and what I wanted to do next. I must say I really loved all of the weapons in the game... but her new Bow with Flamming Arrows was by far my most favorite. I loved to shoot an enemy in the leg and watch them get set ablaze, running around screaming and dying... I know.. quite sick of me eh??? 
Even the multiplayer is alot of fun. The maps are pretty small and leave no room for camping... so the pace becomes very fast and furious. I do pretty good... but there are alot of awesome players out there who really kick some serious butt if you know what I mean!
now back onto the remainder of the backlog... and I decided to pull this back out... which means I might start pulling my hair out too...
I have always liked the Halo series... but I am really not a very good player in it. I have two friends I know... one is local and the other is JohnSteed on here. They are both so awesome on this game and beat it on Legendary.... which simply baffles me how they do that. I am playing on normal... and even trying to play very tacticle and reserved with my shooting... I die at least 10 or more times very easily on Normal... and that is on a good day. I slowly grind away at each level and I do mean very slowly... and get really excited when I see the words CHECKPOINT on my screen... because that to me means I won't have to do that part ever again! Maybe someday I will be better... but for now I simply just want to get the game done because I love the storyline... but usually run in fear of dying... which is inevitable for me anyhow!

The multiplayer I've played has been 90% camping... :P (Albeit even camping that doesn't overly advantage one side.)
@Foolz3h With the maps so small... camping for any length of time is a pretty poor way to play. Those people are just sitting ducks to me! :)
@Sandpiper121PP @Foolz3h I don't know, the small map means that you're pretty safe when camping cause it's easy to see people sneaking up if you and your team are in good positions. Maybe it's just because the matches I managed to get into on PC didn't have that many people.
If you want a hand playing Halo 4 on an easy setting, or to play PVP, let me know. I SUPER suck at it, but would be happy to help with cheevos!
@CodingGenius You also have trouble at Halo??? Wow! I thought you were awesome in it! I know that we might have to hook up for some Gears of War soon... and I also just picked up SSX too! I saw it on your profile... found it new for $19.99... so I got it! Kinda tough... but alot of fun! :)
Remember, I offered to play co-op with you months ago. So you only have yourself to blame! ;)
@johnsteed7 I would... but I don't like playing with elite people as yourself because I feel I am just bogging them down with my poor playing skills. You completed it in a week or so... on Legendary... I will eventually complete it on normal... probably in a year or so! :)
I'm waiting for a price drop on Tomb Raider - with Infinite out next week, I'll have plenty to keep me occupied for a while I think.

1 Like It seems that the new Tomb Raider turned out to be a real good game. Almost all GS friends liked it a lot. Haven't played it yet myself but looking forward to play it a.s.a.p. Glad you as a devoted Lara fan enjoyed playing it as well.

1 Like havent tried the multiplayer but I am near the end of Tomb Raider and went back to find collectibles, im sure that will take me awhile.
@Allicrombie Actually I found it very easy to get all of the left over collectables in an afternoon. I actually cleaned them all up before I finished the game. :)
I might buy Tomb Raider sometime this year. Foolz3h's been writing (and editing and editing) a review I should read soon. It would also be my first Tomb Raider game. I wonder if I should try the earlier ones first.
@kingkilla3 Actually I think this would be a great first Tomb Raider game for anyone who has never played one. The storyline is different than the one written by the original writer... but it is still very awesome! :)
I hear there is/can be a game crashing glitch in the new Tomb Raider, I guess you did not run into it. I really want to try this game, but just can seem to figure out what other game I should put down to make time for it!
@Gen_Warbuff I also have heard about that bug... but was very fortunate not to experience it. It is such a great game... so any game you put down would be worth it! :)

1 Like Sounds fun! A buddy and I beat Halo 4 in one sitting one night :P Granted it was on the easiest setting, but who's judging, eh? Have yet to try the new Tomb Raider. Gotta finish my backlog first.
@soolkiki Halo is alot of fun... but just so darn hard. I mean... I don't want it to be uber easy... but some sections even on the easier settings seem overly difficult.
