  My Birthday!!

  Well today is October the 5th which mean that it's my birthday today, I'm currently eating McDonald, so I'm officially 22 year old right now, I didn't get anything for my birthday yet(you'll see what I mean later), anyway I reach level 27 again I was on this level before but got penality because of that issue I had with Gamespot about that dumb copyright crap,

  Update: I ate two slices of good old Cheesecake, one Chicken Tender, and soon some pizza, also I got ten bucks from my mom, so yeah It a good birthday.

  Geist Review

  

  When the Volks Corporation, a high c1ass facility in Southern France, which conducts research into military weapon as well as scientific research is suspected of illegal activities, the CR-2 , a counter-terrorism group sent Thomas Bryson as a undercover agent to investigate the company, weeks go by and no information from Bryson, then one day he radio in with a very brief report on the situation, CR-2 then contact you John Raimi(close friend of Bryson)a specialist in biological and chemical threat to go to the Volks Corporation with an assault team to get Bryson out along with the information he gather, you get there and retrieve the information you need but thing start to go sour from there, one of the member of the assault team get possess by a ghost as everyone try to make their escape(one of Volks special c1ass soldier)and start killing everyone, Raimi get shot as he was about to get lifted aboard a helicopter, unlike everyone else though he fell into a coma like state, soon after Raimi regain conciseness only to find himself strap to a machine that extracted his soul right out of his body thus becoming a ghost(hence the title Geist), once a ghost Raimi meet up with a sweet yet sort of creepy little girl name Gigi who is also a ghost, shortly the two of them team up on a quest to save Raimi's friend Bryson, help Raimi regain his body, save Gigi older brother, and save mankind from a great evil that got unleashed upon the world. (Note: As a ghost you will continually lose HP/Life force so you better get into a human host/animal/ or object real quick because if your life force reach zero you will pass on to the afterlife, which mean you die).

  Default Controls(Note: these are the normal controls, there a second control scheme as well)

  Multiplayer Mode(Note: You can play against computer opponents, also you can change the game setting as you see fit).

  Possession Death Match- Everyone start out as a ghost, you must go around the level and look for a human host to possess, there are a good number of human host to posses, all of the human host in the level are basically mannequins they only move when their possess by a ghost, each of the human host are equip with a different weapon but some are equip with the same weapon(so possess the one that have the weapon you like), once you have a human host it's hunting season, gunning down the enemy will score you points just like in any other death match mode. (Note: you can possess object as well as animal too)

  Capture The Host- The same rules apply as possession death match but this time around you can also score points by dropping off your human host at a post, just like in capture the flag. (Note: you can possess objects as well as animals, animals can be dropped off at a post too and score you points).

  Hunt- You choose if you want to play as a ghost or a human host, as a ghost it's your job to possess a human host(which is control by another player or computer opponent)and force it toward a hazard hotpot(acid pool, giant fan, pit of spikes, etc), if you manage to kill off the human host in these hazard hotspot you will score a point, as for the human host it's your job to kill these ghost player by using a pistol that shoot special bullets(unlimited bullet, no reload)that can harm ghost, if a ghost take control of you and is forcing you to a hazard hotspot, you should rapidly tap A to fight off the control they have over you for a bit but that won't be enough though, to force the ghost out of your body you will need to use the pistol secondary function, which shoot a gas grenade(you can only shoot one at a time so you better shoot it accurately, if you happen to miss then tap Z to reload but I suggest doing it when you're not possess because it takes awhile to reload, that way if you get possess again you can shoot it and force the ghost out of you again)that is super effective against ghost as well as force them out of your body, when a human host kill a ghost they will score a point. (Note: If you and a friend team up together, both of you have to be ghosts or human hosts, you can't be on the same team and be different species).

  Presentation- The atmosphere is dark and eerie, the find recipe of any Sci-Fi shooter. 10/10

  Gameplay- A solid first person shooter, where you play as a ghost and have to scare people, in order to possess their body and use them to reach your goals, which is to regain your own body back and take down the Volks Corporation once and for all. 8.0/10

  Graphic- The in-game/cutscene visuals are really good but than again I don't really care. 10/10

  Control- Control are responsive but a little difficult, I suggest using the second control scheme if you're having trouble with the default configuration. 10/10

  Sound- Like any other shooter out their you will hear gunshot, people saying funny phrases as they die, hear really creepy noises, etc. 10/10

  Likes

  A solid first person shooter

  Possessing objects and scaring the crap out of people

  Possessing one of the enemies that have a gun then start attacking his follow teammates

  The ability to possess a rocket, machine-gun turret, explosive box, etc.

  A solid single player and multiplayer mode

  Being able to check out some of your surrounding area as a ghost, so you can see what to look out for as you go forward

  Dislikes

  You can't go through walls as a ghost

  No auto-targeting feature, which mean you will have to aim your weapon manually

  The little creatures call Imps that you encounter later on(they give me the creeps)

  Killer spiders that happen to have stealth capability(they give the creeps too)

  Closing Comment

  Geist is a really solid first person shooter that you will probably like but I must say I've play some better fps games than this, regardless of what I say give it a shot if you like, you might like it or not but overall it a good game that could've been done a bit better.

  Bad/Good News

  If you wondering what I been for the last couple weeks, well I've mostly been catching up on episodes of some of my favorite animes like Digimon, Bleach, Pokemon, One Piece, and a few others on youtube or mega video. Anyway here the update on me, I'll start out with the bad news than go straight to the good news.

  My bro traded in Brawl at gamestop a weeks ago for money, he use it to buy some food and drinks for us since on that day none of us had any cash to buy anything, he also wanted to ship something, to make matter worse last week I was going to play Super Smash Bro. Melee again since I haven't play it in a while due to playing One Piece: Unlimited Adventure and I found out it doesn't work(the disk can't read), I told my bro why you didn't say it didn't work since it was in his room, he say I though you knew about that (because the disk had some marks on the back due to my nephews or nieces fooling around with it)and I said no I though it still work because when I first saw those marks on the disk the game still work which was a couple weeks ago, well I'm like great another game missed up due to my nephews or nieces mistreating it, since this was like the fourth time that happen the last three games(NBA Street V3, WWE Day of Reckoning 2, and Sonic Mega Collection)all got missed up by my nephews because they didn't take good care of them like they should, man this really sucks.

  One of my brother friend took my PS1 AV Out cord with him(the one you connect to the VCR)and lost it. this is what happen my bro ask me the day before or maybe a few days ago if he could borrow my PS1 so he could play with it, I said find since I wasn't playing it at the moment then one day his friend came over with his PS2, they was using my PS1 cord so they could play the PS2 since his friend cord was in bad shape, I didn't know about this until later on when I went to my bro room to get the my PS1, so I could hook it up in my room to check out a new game I brought for my PS1 to see if it works or not, so when I turn it on I was like what's going on because the picture wasn't showing up on the TV can't recall if there was sound or not, anyway when I saw it wasn't working I grab the cord to look at it and saw it was in bad shape, I then went to my bro and ask them what happen to the cord, he said oh my friend accidentally took the cord so I said you better get it back from him, will recently I ask my bro about it and he said his friend lost it. Now this is the kind of crap that get on my nerve because I brought my PS1 complete with a second controller and memory card and now the cord missing.

  Good News

  I finally beat One Piece: Unlimited Adventure a couple days ago, it was really awesome I can't wait for Unlimited Cruise.

  Well I brought myself a couple of new games, first up are the one I got two or three month ago from goozex.

  

  Super Monkey Ball 2- I got this game because I really wanted a cool multiplayer to play with my nephews/nieces as well as my brother, I've played the first one before but never play this one, I'm glad I got it because it one of the best party game you can play with friends or relatives, I beat the game alright but still got some stuff to open up.

  

  Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life- I wanted to get one of these game ever since I played a little bit of Harvest Moon 64 and Harvest Moon: Friend of Mineral Town, so I decided to get this game in the series and it's a great game I'm still playing it, currently my character is marry and has a son plus 4 Chickens, 2 Ducks, 2 Cows, 2 sheep, a Goat, a Horse, a Cat, and a Dog, I'm glad to have this game in my collection, anyway check above to see the names of the whole family.

  

  Mega Man X4- I wanted this game because I knew it would be challenging which is find with me as well as great fun, other than this game in the X series my bro and I only played Mega Man X, which is an awesome game though it's as hard as a ton bricksadly we never beat it, anyway I haven't play it yet to the fullest since I need to buy a new PS1 cord but I did test the game out to see if it work(which it does)using a playstation emulator.

  These are the ones I got recently from Gamestop(between last Thursday and the Thursday before that one)with the money my middle sister pay me for helping her son with his homework.

  

  Def Jam: Fight for NY- I got this game because me and my bro wanted to play it for awhile now, plus I wanted a brawler type game similar to Day of Reckoning 1&2 where we could just beat the crap out of each other and have fun, I've only played a little bit of it with my bro and man were getting are butt kick by the computer though we did manage to get a couple of wins, anyway my bro currently playing it.

  

  Viewtiful Joe- I never played this game before so I decided to get it a shot plus it was at a cheap price, I'm really glad I did because it an really awesome game, it's like Mega Man where it challenging but fun at the same time, currently I'm playing it on adult(hard)mode right now and I hope to get part 2 when I can. Henshin the Go Go Baby!! Sorry couldn't resist.

  

  Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and The Lost Ocean- I got this because I been wanting to play it, my bro brought it awhile back(I don't even have to explain what happen)I was suppose to get a chance to play after he was done with it but that didn't happen, so when I went to the store I wanted to pick up another rpg to add to my Gamecube collection(Harvest Moon being the first), so far I've been really enjoying this game, It's an refreshing take on rpg, I'm really glad I picked it up I'm looking forward to playing the second one and I really hope they decided to make another one for the Wii after their done with Tale of Symphonia: Dawn of The New World.

  

  R: Racing Evolution(AKA Ridge Racer): I had to order this game from gamestop online store using my bro's Edge Card, I got this game because I've been hungry to try out a new racing game(I wasn't going to settle for getting any of those new Need for Speed games)plus not having F-Zero GX anymore is a real blow, anyway I was so happy when got it in the mail but it quickly turn into sadness because when I pop the disk in, in some parts of the intro it would stop "saying disk can't read" so I had to keep on opening/closing the lid(which made me really mad I like watching the intro without thing like this happening), not only that but when I got to the press start screen, I press start to get to the main screen and what you know "disk error can't read" so I open/close the lid but nothing, great so now I'm stuck with a missed up game, I'm going to have to ask my younger sister to see if she can get me another copy from amazon, if not I'll have to wait a bit longer"sigh".

  Anyway that's all for now, I'm thinking of doing a new blog thing call Let's Talk where we can talk about different subject like games, anime, people, places, etc so be sure to come on over to check it out, also I'm thinking about some other neat things too. P.S. I'll see if I can do some more game review as well, I don't want to be a one trick pony, it really difficult for me since I seem to take a long time with geting straight the point but I'll see what I can do.
